Chapter 736: Grandfather and Grandson

Without the distraction of Zhai Yao, Li Jing ate and slept on the train. She didn't know how leisurely she lived.

After tasting all the food on the train, and all the things Jiang Weiguo brought, Li Jing finally felt a little bit of the joy of traveling.

But when we were about to arrive in Kyoto, our leisurely days were somewhat interrupted.

Two stops away from Kyoto Station, their carriage was boarded again, and the person who arrived was actually assigned to the lower berth opposite Li Jing.

When an old man and a young man were sitting opposite her, Li Jing was leaning on the railing and reading a book. The young man didn't know what was going on and kept staring at the cover of her book.

The old man wore reading glasses and only held a small bag in his hand. He tidied the shop. He originally wanted his grandson to lie down and rest, watch him lose his mind, and follow his gaze.

When he saw Li Jing's red book, the old man pulled up his glasses, and the eyes hung slanted on the end of his nose.

 “What are you looking at?”

The old man was naturally asking about his grandson, but unexpectedly, the little boy covered his mouth and started laughing secretly.

Then, he broke free from the old man's hand, ran to Li Jing's side, covered his mouth, and whispered: "Sister, I discovered your secret!"

He pointed at her book, and Li Jing instantly understood what he was talking about.

The child could tell that the book she was reading was not the one with the cover.

Li Jing closed the book with a calm expression, "So?"

The boy blinked, "Don't worry, I will definitely help you keep the secret!"

Li Jing was relieved after hearing this. She said "Oh" and opened the book again, "Thank you!"

The boy chuckled, scratched his head while laughing, and returned to his seat.

I don’t know if it was the brief exchange between the two that made the little boy feel that they knew each other, or if he was already familiar with her. He sat opposite her, calling her "sister" at one moment, giving her sweets at another, and asking her questions at the next. Where are you from?

Although Li Jing acted very indifferently, she answered everything he needed to answer.

The grandfather didn't stop his grandson from asking questions, he just watched with a smile, and after a while, he dozed off.

Jiang Weiguo went to get hot water. When he turned around, he found someone else had arrived, and his eyes flashed.

The terminal is coming soon. Getting on the bus now and booking a sleeper berth means that the person getting on the bus is either not short of money or has a good background.

With these thoughts rolling through Jiang Weiguo's mind, he walked to his wife with hot water on his face with a smile on his face.

“Daughter-in-law, I’m back, and I’m going to make some malted milk for you.”

During the few days on the train, Li Jing did nothing. She either read, slept, or ate. On the other hand, Jiang Weiguo, the husband, had no time to spare. From time to time, he would go out to get food and drink for Li Jing. For this reason, the sister-in-law in the shop next to me said many envious words.

A can of malted milk was almost finished by Li Jing in two days.

With so little left over, Jiang Weiguo didn't intend to leave any, so he just poured spoonfuls of it into the tea vat and poured it all into Li Jing's cup.

The strong and sweet taste made the little boy opposite also want to drink.

Although the little boy wanted to drink, he was not too greedy. He just pushed his grandfather who was about to fall asleep and said, "Grandpa, I also want to drink malted milk. Can I buy it on the train?"

Grandpa, who was dozing off, was startled and almost fell off his glasses.

"What are you drinking, malted milk? They probably don't sell this stuff on the train, so just be patient. We'll be home soon. Let's drink it when we get back!"

Obviously, the family conditions of this grandfather and grandson are unusual.
