A Circle Of Time

Chapter 40 - A lot of work

Phew! That was an exhausting fight. I did not expect that Chimaera to be this strong, although it is a Mid 9th Circle Monster if it wanted it to it could have taken most of the world for itself. Its body was incredibly hard making it almost invulnerable, That Chimaera seems to have used a portion of that energy leaked by that energy source into gaining this much power.

Mana is a form of energy and is extremely pure but is not the purest because of it interacting with the environment it is in. In that sense all forms of energy are power and can be used into developing Mana, so that Chimaera used that energy, converted it into Mana and then became a 9th Circle monster. If it would have been left alone for a longer duration it would have really become a God.

Remember, when I talked about developing Circles will increase how long you will live? After developing the 10th Circle you will transcend the cycle of Life and Death itself and become a God. They are not omnipotent or omniscient but they are strong enough to alter causality to an extent but if they affect it any more it will cause a natural reaction affecting the user as much as alteration they have caused.

My grandfather the Great Dragon God has reached his limit for a while now and want's a successor who can be stronger than him. Although Dragons naturally live long lives, he who has transcended life, death and also time has lost a sense of purpose except finding and training successors like other the gods. Due to him finding no one who possesses the same potential as his now dead son whom he gave birth before his ascension he chose no one till that day when I had requested for his help in the other world.

That Mana after reaching the peak of 9th circle to develop the 10th Circle needs for all of it to be converted to Divinity. But that power is so strong that not even an ancient dragon at mid-9th Circle can use it, so it is very rare. This process is not known to anyone and is only told to Peak 9th-Circle Master's if their potential reaches the liking of those gods. Because of these criteria's mostly only long living races are preferred.

Well anyway, after defeating that Chimaera we head down to the bottom-most floor of the Dungeon of Sunset and what we see in front of us is a small fist size orb of some kind which is emanating so much energy and then it is being dissipated instantly with us being only able to access a minuscule fraction of it. That Chimaera must have spent a lot of time in gathering up that energy to become that powerful but I have a way, being a Dragon who possesses the ability instantly soak up mana/energy from around me have the ability to capitalise on it and help assist Abberon as well by releasing that energy in a manner where it doesn't dissipate as quickly. It will also help in developing something for Raine which we have been planing.

We have asked Raine to keep pouring her Mana onto a Nihonium metal which I have created and to temper it with her mana to help her reside in it. After she has completely tempered it she can freely enter it and control it. This orb or rather the energy it releases will fill Nihonium to the maximum capacity possible to allow Raine to become equivalent to an 9th Circle master with her body alone making her the strongest autonomous golem with no growth limit ever.

I put that in my dimensional subspace and only allow its energy to pass through, tempering my body and filling it up with Mana to the utmost extent which requires my parallel thinking to constantly convert that energy to the purest form of mana.
