Shan Yi has been home for a while now, looking at her motionless phone.

She was waiting for Shen Tiantian’s call.

In the afternoon, she suddenly received a phone call from her mother, telling her that her father had returned and asking her to go pick him up together. She initially wanted to ask Shan Xu to go, but he happened to be in a meeting. As for her, she couldn’t refuse her mother’s request and had to go. In the end, she couldn’t make it back in time to pick up her girlfriend for dinner, so she had no choice but to ask Shan Xu to go pick Shen Tiantian up from work.

The call was only answered towards the end, and she heard Shen Tiantian’s voice coming through.

“Hello?”

Shen Tiantian had just finished taking a shower and happened to see her phone vibrating. Seeing an unknown number, she thought about hanging up, but she hesitated for a moment and decided to answer it.

She wiped her wet hair with one hand and put the phone on the low table next to the sofa after turning on the speaker.

“What are you doing?” Shan Yi asked.

Shen Tiantian was a bit slow to react and blinked. “CEO?!”

“Hmm?!” Shan Yi raised her voice.

“Yiyi …” Shen Tiantian immediately changed her words. She had seen Shan Yi’s assertiveness in the past.

‘Why would the CEO have her number?!’ She thought for a moment and guessed that she must have seen her employment certificate. She didn’t expect the CEO to have this side to her.

A low laughter belonging to Shan Yi entered her ears, and Shen Tiantian felt her blood flowing backward. She moved the phone away slightly, but reluctantly pressed it against her ear again.

“Have you eaten?” 

Shen Tiantian made a sound of affirmation and said, “Yes, I’ve been home for a while.”

Shen Tiantian nodded and remembered that Shan Yi couldn’t see, so she made another sound of affirmation, and after hesitating for about ten seconds, she asked, “You’re not going to the company tomorrow morning, right?”

“It depends.” There’s a high chance she won’t go.

Shen Tiantian fell silent for a moment and sounded a bit down as she said, “I won’t be able to send you off.”

Shan Yi laughed, “It’s alright.”

Shen Tiantian didn’t say anything. Shan Yi asked hoarsely, “Will you miss me?”

‘I already miss you’

In her mind, Shen Tiantian, but on the surface, she said, “I’ll think of you when I have time.”

Shan Yi chuckled and said in a low voice, “I will miss you.”

Shen Tiantian’s ears instantly turned red, but she felt relieved that Shan Yi wasn’t there. Otherwise, she might have been kissed again.

She subconsciously raised her hand to touch her lips, thinking of how Shan Yi had kissed them countless times before. A beautiful curve formed at the corners of her mouth. 

Shan Yi didn’t get a response for a while, and her mind also recalled the image of Shen Tiantian’s shy blushing face. She asked, “Have you taken a shower?”

“I just finished showering.” Shen Tiantian let out a yawn, and a tear welled up at the corner of her eye. She looked at the time, realizing it was not even ten o ‘clock yet, but she actually felt quite sleepy.

Even though Shen Tiantian’s voice was very soft, Shan Yi still heard it. “Sleepy?”

Shen Tiantian made a sound of affirmation. “I feel a bit tired.”

“Then you should go to sleep early. We’ll talk again tomorrow.”

Shen Tiantian was reluctant to part with her. Unable to resist her sleepiness, she said goodnight and hung up the phone.

She saved Shan Yi’s number as a contact and assigned a nickname, just as she had done on WeChat.

The next morning, Shen Tiantian woke up feeling weak in her limbs. It was like the early signs of a cold.

She stared at the ceiling for a while before her body gradually recovered some strength. She moved her hand slowly and reached for the thermometer to measure her temperature.

37.9 degrees Celsius. It was a slight fever.

It must have been because it rained last night and the temperature dropped. She was only wearing thin clothes and didn’t expect to catch a cold like this.

But Shen Tiantian didn’t mind. After freshening up, she changed into a new outfit and headed out.

A cheerful ringtone came from her bag, and she looked at the caller ID. It was a call from Shan Yi, and she instantly felt less dizzy in her head.

She answered the phone. “Good morning, CE … Yiyi.”

“Good morning.” Shan Yi smiled. “Have you had breakfast?”

“Have breakfast first.”

After ending the call, Shen Tiantian ate some hot porridge near the bus stop.

When she finished and came out, a bus coincidentally pulled up. She boarded the bus, and at that moment, the thought of buying medicine was tossed into the Pacific Ocean.

Shen Tiantian arrived a bit early today and there were only a few people in the office.

Shen Tiantian: [I’m here.]

Shan Yi didn’t reply.

Suddenly, the phone placed on the desk lit up. She glanced at it lazily and immediately picked it up when she saw that it was a message from Shan Yi.

— Come out for a moment.

Shen Tiantian blinked at the words, momentarily not understanding. Go out where?!

At this moment, Shan Yi sent another message.

— The restroom on the 17th floor.

The CEO was back? Shen Tiantian felt a little excited.

Shan Yi was amused by her expression. She approached her step by step in her high heels.

Shan Yi laughed, deciding not to tease her further. “Do you feel better after taking the medicine?”

The sudden change of topic caught Shen Tiantian off guard. She paused for a moment before remembering that she had a fever.

She shook her head. “I forgot to buy medicine.”

Shan Yi shook her head helplessly and reached up to pinch her face. Feeling that she was unusually hot, she frowned and said, “You have a fever.”

Shen Tiantian held onto her hand. “I’ll be fine after the CEO touches me.”

Shen Tiantian was led by Shan Yi, and her mind was filled with nothing but the ambiguous sound of water.

She blushed and her breathing quickened. She couldn’t help but gently push Shan Yi away.

Shan Yi gently sucked on her tongue before slowly pulling back, looking down at her with softness in her eyes.

Shen Tiantian tilted her head, blushing, and said, “I might infect you with my cold.”

“It’s okay.” Shan Yi smiled and said, “Let’s go on a date when I come back.”

Shen Tiantian asked in a daze, “Aren’t we on a date right now?”

“In the restroom?” Shan Yi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Shen Tiantian: ……

Well, it didn’t really count as a date, at most it was a ‘secret affair’.

Shan Yi’s thumb moved lightly along the edge of her lips, and her eyes darkened. “No, I won’t be able to kiss you tomorrow. Let’s kiss again.”

Shen Tiantian burst into laughter, feeling a sweet sensation in her heart. She looked up and met Shan Yi’s eyes. Her laughter slowly faded, her long eyelashes fluttered, and she slightly opened her mouth. In the next second, she was kissed.

She hesitantly raised her hand and wrapped it around Shan Yi’s neck, making it easier for her to kiss.

Shen Tiantian was completely lost in the moment.

The temperature in the restroom grew hotter and the panting sounds were getting heavier.

Suddenly, a series of rapid knocks on the door startled Shen Tiantian. She opened her eyes wide and tapped Shan Yi’s shoulder.

Reluctantly, Shan Yi withdrew, whispering hoarsely, “Afraid of someone finding out?”

Breathing heavily, Shen Tiantian didn’t have time to reply before she was pushed away by Shan Yi through the door.
