During the May Day short holiday, Shen Tiantian spent four days at the Shan residence, where she was pampered every day. It seemed that Mother Shan had already treated her like a daughter, and even Shan Yi had some opinions about it. She emphasized that Shen Tiantian was her wife and urged her to give her some opportunities.

After spending four days together, Shen Tiantian gradually became less nervous and got used to the way of life at the Shan’s residence. Later on, as the instigator of the mother-daughter disputes, she simply let them argue without intervening.

After finishing a day of work, Shen Tiantian returned to her own home. Perhaps because she had grown accustomed to these past few days, Mother Shan called her to ask why they hadn’t returned home yet. Shen Tiantian stuttered and told her that she had returned home.

On the other end of the phone, Mother Shan fell silent for a moment. Just when Shen Tiantian thought she might get scolded, Mother Shan calmly asked her when she would move back home.

After these few days of bonding, Shen Tiantian seemed to find no reason to refuse anymore, and she didn’t want to refuse either. She wanted to live together with Mother Shan and the others, occasionally play harmless jokes, and continue experiencing that warm atmosphere. Yes, she had become greedy, wanting to enjoy the feeling of being in a family, to stay in that wonderful ambiance for a lifetime.

After soothing Mother Shan properly, she ended the call. Shen Tiantian let out a heavy sigh and looked at Shan Yi with a bit of exhaustion in her eyes. She had just vomited a moment ago.

Her hands rested on both sides of her legs, her chin propped on a pillow. With a touch of anticipation, she said, “Mother Shan asked me to move back.”

“What about you? Do you want to move?” In Shan Yi’s eyes, Shen Tiantian’s desires were more important.

Shen Tian Tian secretly stole a glance at her and quickly withdrew her gaze. “Um, I want to live with Mother Shan.”

“Anytime work?”

She thought for a moment and then nodded vigorously, making a sound of agreement.

Shan Yi nodded. “I’ll have someone come over to help you move within these two days. You can go home directly after work tomorrow.”

People are contradictory. Just a moment ago, she had solemnly promised that she could move in anytime. But as soon as she gave a specific date, she immediately felt reluctant.

She had lived in this home for almost eight years. All the good and bad memories were here, every corner bore traces of her and her best friends. Although she had been renting, she had always considered this place as their home. Until later, Kang Jiaya moved out to live with her boyfriend, and Liu Wanjun got married. Unconsciously, this home was left with her alone.

Sometimes when she fell ill, she felt particularly helpless and lonely. She even considered whether she should find a boyfriend, just so she wouldn’t feel so isolated.

But she didn’t know what kind of person she liked. Having lived for over twenty years, she wasn’t unfamiliar with being pursued by others. The only thing was, she couldn’t quite explain why she couldn’t find that fluttering feeling. As a result, she kept postponing the thought.

Fortunately, she had finally found it now, but it was beyond her expectations—a woman as the object of her affection.

If she moved to the Shan’s residence, her own house would be left completely vacant and could only be rented out. However, the thought of strangers living in the place she considered home made her feel uncomfortable all over, and she even felt like crying.

Seemingly sensing her thoughts, Shan Yi gently pulled her into her embrace. “We don’t have to move everything out, and we’re not short on money. We can buy the house and keep it there. Whenever you want to come back, you can do so anytime. Think of it as your maternal home.”

Shan Yi’s voice was soft and gentle, instantly soothing Shen Tiantian, along with her words. She naturally leaned into Shan Yi’s embrace, a slight smile forming on her lips as she joked: “Sure, if we ever have a fight, I can come back here, a safe haven. But I have some savings; I can buy it myself.”

“I won’t argue with you,” Shan Yi replied seriously and with conviction.

Shen Tiantian pouted, “But what if?”

“There won’t be any ‘what ifs’,” Shan Yi immediately responded. “If you get upset, I’ll comfort you until you calm down.”

Shen Tiantian was momentarily stunned and felt a bit touched for no apparent reason. Looking back on this period of time, they indeed hadn’t argued at all. Every time, it was her who was being moody, and Shan Yi had always been the one to pacify her.

“Okay, I’ll remember your words,” Shen Tiantian said sweetly.

Shan Yi expressed her fearlessness.

Leaning against Shan Yi’s embrace, Shen Tiantian didn’t say anything, and they quietly watched the airing drama together.

After one episode ended and advertisements were inserted, Shen Tiantian stretched her legs. Seeing that it was getting late, she said: “I’m going to take a shower; I have to work tomorrow.”

“Together?” Shan Yi asked.

Shen Tiantian hesitated for a moment and then nodded.

She felt that once they started sharing showers, it would become a frequent occurrence. Even though it was still a bit awkward, Shen Tiantian decided to endure it.

The next morning, Shen Tiantian was tormented by morning sickness as usual. They both went to the company, but entered their respective offices one after another.

After coming back from the vacation, Assistant Yang’s attitude had changed a bit, returning to a professional mode of dealing with work matters.

Other assistants still gossiped, but not as openly as before. Occasionally, they would glance in her direction, whispering about who knew what. Shen Tiantian vaguely felt that the way they looked at her was always odd.

Although she didn’t want to mind, it still made her uncomfortable.

She had never liked reporting to superiors, even if that person was her girlfriend. She kept her work and personal life separate.

Due to the three-day break for the May Day holiday, there was a backlog of work to catch up on. The day’s work ended in a busy rush.

Last night, she had already agreed to move in with Shan Yi. In the evening, they went to Shen Tiantian’s place, packed up some basic belongings, and considered the move complete.

Shen Tiantian’s suitcase was filled with jeans, sweatpants, and the only two dresses she owned. Because of her pregnancy, most of these pants were getting tight, but she hadn’t dared to bring up the idea of getting new clothes with Shan Yi.

Her presence was welcomed by everyone in the Shan family. They all happily had dinner together that evening, and even Father Shan became more talkative.

Back in Shan Yi’s room, Shen Tiantian still couldn’t believe it.

“Am I really moving in here?!” Shen Tiantian asked dazedly.

Shan Yi waved her hand in front of her, bringing her back to reality. “Back to reality, darling.”

“I’ve really moved in?” Shen Tiantian asked in astonishment.

This was the fifth time that evening. Shan Yi looked serious as she cradled the petite woman’s face in her hands and kissed her with a sense of reverence.

The kiss was gentle, and Shan Yi didn’t push for it to deepen. She merely licked at the edges of her lips, treating it like a priceless and delicate treasure.

When the kiss ended, Shan Yi was reluctant to pull away. Maintaining the distance of their lips brushing, she asked for the fifth time: “Is it true?”

Shen Tiantian slowly curved her lips and suddenly hooked her fingers around Shan Yi’s neck. She pulled her close and took the initiative to kiss her. Shan Yi went along with it, pressing her against the cabinet. The roles quickly reversed, and it was only when both of their lips were slightly swollen and reddened that they stopped.

As their breath gradually calmed, Shan Yi lifted the woman, who was almost hanging from her, and embraced her face-to-face as she carried her back to the bed. “Alright, rest a bit, and I’ll tidy up the clothes.”

Shen Tiantian responded with an affirmative sound. This time, she didn’t argue with Shan Yi for the task, sitting obediently on the bed, watching her busy figure with a smile on her face.

The wardrobe was spacious. Shan Yi hung all of her wife’s clothes, including underwear and bras. Seeing their clothes hanging side by side, she smiled with contentment.

Finally, she had brought her home, and the next step was registering their marriage.

After sorting everything out, Shan Yi took her to take a shower. They kissed and touched each other for almost an hour before they emerged.

Shan Yue knocked on the door again.

Shan Yi, dressed in silk pajamas, stared expressionlessly at the woman outside the door.

“You two are getting a bit too much,” Shan Yue gritted her teeth.

Inside the room, Shen Tiantian heard it all, blushing with embarrassment, she hid under the blanket and didn’t dare to peek out.

With a creak, she heard Shan Yi’s voice. Not long after, the blanket covering her was pulled away, and Shen Tiantian buried her face in her hands like a little rabbit, sneaking a sidelong glance at the culprit.

“Your room has terrible sound insulation,” Shen Tiantian couldn’t help but comment.

Shan Yi maintained a serious expression, saying: “How about we get someone to improve the sound insulation tomorrow?”

“…” If she had water in her mouth, she felt like she would’ve spat it out without any grace. Did she really have to say it so seriously?!

“Stop kidding around,” Shen Tiantian was genuinely afraid she might do something reckless.

Shan Yi climbed onto the bed with a smile and bent down, planting a kiss on her lips. “Of course, I was just joking.”

Shen Tiantian shot her a glare. Her expression just now didn’t match what she was saying.

“Oh, by the way, I looked at a few wedding dresses today. Do you want to take a look?” Shan Yi took her wife’s eye-rolling as a playful gesture, and she handed her phone over, opening it and showing it to her.

Shen Tiantian was momentarily stunned and then chuckled with a hint of mischief. “I think I know your phone password now.”

Shan Yi raised an eyebrow. “What is it?”

“0820, am I right?” Shen Tiantian wore an expression of ‘I guessed it’.

“Do you know why I chose that?” Shan Yi asked.

“Why?” Shen Tiantian’s curiosity was piqued.

“Because it’s my wife’s birthday,” Shan Yi said.

Shen Tiantian’s expression froze, and she suddenly realized her birthday was indeed on August 20th. Once it dawned on her, her face turned red. She stared at Shan Yi with widened eyes, “Why? When did you set that?!”

Shan Yi had been surprising her too much. Comparatively, she felt a bit inadequate.

“On the day I saw you at the company.”

Shen Tiantian: …

She couldn’t take it anymore, she was so happy that she wanted to scream out loud. After a moment, she calmed her excited heart, held her phone, and said: “Then I’ll set your birthday too.”

Shan Yi said: “I’d love that.”

Shen Tiantian eagerly opened the settings, but suddenly realized she had no idea what Sun Yi’s birthday was. Her fingers awkwardly stopped.

“1123,” Shan Yi offered a few digits, looking at her with amusement.

She was the CEO of the company, so looking up an employee’s information was easy for her. But of course, she couldn’t casually check her wife’s details. It was normal not to know.

Shen Tiantian quickly changed the password and thought that she would remember it next time.

Using each other’s birthdays as passwords was really sweet, almost cloying, but she loved it.

“Do you still want to look at wedding dresses?”

“Yes.”

Setting down her own phone, Shen Tiantian took Shan Yi’s phone and chuckled as she unlocked it using her own birthday. It was quite satisfying.

Shan Yi had already opened some images before, but because Shen Tiantian suddenly wanted to change the password, she put it aside temporarily. She unlocked it and revealed an image of a snowy-white wedding gown.

Unconsciously, she sighed, her gaze fixed on the screen.

The wedding dress had a deep V-neck that extended down to her navel. Due to the grayish-white background with some reflections, the slender shoulder straps were hardly visible. The skirt began from the waist, conveniently covering her small belly.

“More photos on the next screen,” Shan Yi reminded her.

Shen Tiantian tapped the screen to switch the photo.

This was a strapless design, appearing slightly less conservative, with the skirt also beginning from the waist.

She had to admit, Shan Yi was quite thoughtful.
