Shen Tiantian had no idea about the jumbled thoughts in Shan Yi’s mind as she took out a hairdryer to blow-dry her hair. The person sitting on the bed got up and walked over, attempting to snatch the hairdryer from her hand. Shen Tiantian dodged away, saying, “You go shower first.”

Shan Yi replied: “I’m not in a hurry.”

The hairdryer buzzed, and Shen Tiantian couldn’t hear very well, but she could still guess what Shan Yi was saying. She turned off the hairdryer and urged: “Go on.”

“I still prefer to blow-dry your hair for you.”

Shen Tiantian paused for a moment and then burst into laughter, “CEO, do you know what you look like right now?”

The person being questioned raised an eyebrow, asking: “Like a lovesick fool?”

“Yes, exactly like that.” Shen Tiantian nodded earnestly.

Shan Yi’s expression changed slightly, looking at her with a wounded look, “You actually think of me like that? My heart hurts.”

They had been living together for almost a month. If she still couldn’t see Shan Yi’s penchant for theatrics, she would truly be foolish. Shen Tiantian pushed the person away a bit more forcefully, who was trying to get closer, “Go take a shower.”

“Then give me one more kiss.” Shan Yi said playfully.

Shen Tiantian couldn’t help but laugh and cry, “Are you a child?!”

Shan Yi didn’t say anything and brought her face closer.

Unable to resist her, Shen Tiantian gave Shan Yi a peck on her left cheek. When she noticed Shan Yi started making a move, she realized her own naivety, so she swiftly kissed her on the lips.

“Go on.”

So, the satisfied individual finally went to take a shower.

Due to Shen Tiantian’s influence, both of them went to work as usual. Shan Yi returned to her normal self, as if yesterday’s incident had never happened. Shen Tiantian didn’t bring it up either and soon completely forgot about it, happily indulging in their affectionate moments together.

The shooting date was set for Wednesday, but Shan Yi was afraid that her wife would get tired, so she arranged it for Tuesday. Since they had a four-day break, on the day before the break, Shan Yi entrusted her work to Assistant Yang under the pretext of a business trip. Their five-day trip was about to begin.

But she always felt like she had forgotten something. She checked the time, and it was almost the end of the workday. Assistant Yang had been in since a little after four, and still hadn’t come out.

Her CEO wife and herself were different; she was busier than she had imagined. Shen Tiantian didn’t know if she could leave work on time today. Mother Shan had even asked them to leave early, worried that their schedule for tomorrow would be too rushed.

Taking advantage of Sunday’s rest day, Shen Tiantian had already packed up the things she needed; now they just needed to go to the designated location.

At 5:45 PM, Assistant Yang finally emerged from the office. She looked at Shen Tiantian with a somewhat complicated expression.

According to the regulations, Shen Tiantian was under Assistant Yang’s supervision, and any leave requests needed to be approved by her first. However, Shan Yi had intervened and skipped this step. When the CEO mentioned this matter to her, she was surprised, as she had never heard of it before.

After sitting down, Assistant Yang looked at her computer screen, expressionless, and asked: “Did the CEO say you’re going to start taking time off tomorrow?”

Shen Tiantian was momentarily taken aback, then remembered what she had forgotten—she hadn’t requested any leave!!! She immediately became nervous. Shan Yi had arranged everything, and being asked by Assistant Yang like this made her feel like she had been disrespectful to her. After all, Assistant Yang was her direct supervisor.

“Yes, I’m sorry. I forgot to inform you. Is it still possible to request leave now?”

Clearly not expecting Shen Tiantian to apologize, Assistant Yang was also briefly taken aback. She felt somewhat pleased, as at least Shen Tiantian was considering her perspective.

With a barely noticeable curve of her lips, Assistant Yang tilted her head slightly, then adjusted her expression when looking at Shen Tiantian, her tone becoming serious. “Write a leave request for me.”

“Okay.” Shen Tiantian smiled brightly.

Assistant Yang was almost blinded by her bright smile. She awkwardly averted her gaze and caught a glimpse of Shen Tiantian seriously typing on her computer to edit the leave request. She hesitated for a moment and couldn’t help but ask, “Are you planning to travel with the CEO?”

Shen Tiantian hadn’t expected her to ask and was momentarily stunned, taking a few seconds to react. She thought about what Shan Yi had said. Could it be that Assistant Yang actually had feelings for Shan Yi?!

This question popped into her mind, and she nervously rubbed her hands together. She considered looking at Assistant Yang’s reaction and a bold thought crossed her mind: Should she reveal it?!

As the words left her mouth, Assistant Yang sensed that something was off and quickly added, “If you don’t want to say, you don’t have to.”

Shen Tiantian was about to wave it off, but her fidgeting hands on the desk betrayed her nervousness. Despite her intentions to keep it a secret, she blurted out, “We’re planning to take pre-wedding photos.” She fixed her gaze on Assistant Yang, awaiting her reaction.

A flicker of shock quickly passed through Assistant Yang’s eyes. She had assumed that Shan Yi was pursuing Shen Tiantian, but she hadn’t anticipated that they were already discussing marriage.

Her strong self-control allowed her to conceal her surprise well. She raised a faint smile and inquired: “Are you planning to get married?”

Though fleeting, Shen Tiantian caught the look of astonishment. The fragile thread in her heart seemed to snap, making a sound like a snapped string.

Could it be that Assistant Yang truly liked the CEO?! The CEO was both beautiful and talented, and such exceptional individuals were naturally likable. But Assistant Yang was also exceptional. Exceptional people tended to be drawn to each other, and it was not impossible.

The more she thought, the more unsettled Shen Tiantian became. She quickly dismissed her jumbled thoughts. If Assistant Yang really had feelings for the CEO, with such an outstanding person around, how could she possibly have a chance?

And from the very beginning, Assistant Yang had known about her and the CEO’s relationship. In less than three short months, they were already talking about getting married. Anyone would be shocked by that, right?!

Shen Tiantian let her mind run wild for a while, scolding Shan Yi in her heart. She blamed her for making such jokes with her, otherwise she wouldn’t have overthought things.

At the same time, she felt guilty. She shouldn’t have approached Assistant Yang with such a malicious mindset.

She had pondered a lot and decided that since she had already revealed part of it, she might as well continue: “Uh, yeah, after we finish taking the wedding photos, we’ll get our marriage certificate. As for the wedding ceremony, we’re not sure when it will be.”

Yang Li felt like she couldn’t maintain her smile any longer and softly said, “Congratulations.”

Shen Tiantian’s face flushed a bit, and she sincerely thanked her. Seeing that Assistant Yang didn’t intend to continue the conversation, she closed her mouth and focused on writing her leave request.

The curvature of her lips gradually flattened, and Yang Li stared at her computer screen, but couldn’t concentrate on anything. Her mind was full of the fact that her crush was getting married.

Shan Yi is so astute; she must have figured out that she likes her. Regardless of the reason, if she doesn’t reciprocate the feelings, she doesn’t. The fact that she’s getting married is real, and she can’t reject it. She’s not a stubborn person. Since it’s a secret crush, she’ll secretly let go as well. Suddenly, she regrets not speaking up earlier. Maybe there would have been a glimmer of hope, even though it might have led to rejection. At least, there wouldn’t be any regrets. But now, saying anything would only complicate things.

Her family was torn apart by a third party in the past, leading to ruin. She despises being a third party and would never become that kind of person. Since she’s going to get married, she’ll start giving up from this very moment.

Shen Tiantian printed out the completed leave request, placed it on Assistant Yang’s desk, and spoke seriously, “Assistant Yang, this is my leave request.”

Assistant Yang glanced at it. Though it wasn’t necessary, she still signed her name, “Approved. You can hand over your work to Mo Xin.”

“Thank you,” Shen Tiantian smiled sweetly, her eyes curved, and a faint dimple appeared on her right cheek.

During her learning period, Assistant Yang didn’t assign her much work. Shen Tiantian found her colleague Mo Xin and briefly explained her extended leave plans. Approaching the end of the workday, upon receiving such a message, Mo Xin couldn’t find much happiness in it.

She has been at Yue Feng for about three to four years now. During the tenure of the former CEO, she was still the executive secretary. When the former CEO was reassigned, she thought she could retain her position, but she didn’t anticipate that Shan Yi would bring Yang Li over.

After the new CEO took over, instead of getting promoted, her position even saw a downgrade. How could Mo Xin possibly accept this? Unfortunately, Assistant Yang’s performance was flawless, and unlike the former CEO, Shan Yi wasn’t as accommodating. Gradually, Mo Xin lost her desire to regain her position, and even though she was just going through the motions every day, she found it hard to leave.

After all, Yue Feng’s benefits were quite good. Furthermore, since Shan Yi’s arrival, the company’s performance had improved, and a salary increase was on the horizon.

Perhaps she had sensed that there was a significant connection between Shen Tiantian and Shan Yi. Though she wasn’t happy about it, she didn’t let it show on her face. She subtly or not so subtly probed into the reasons behind her leave.

Shen Tiantian and Lu Xiaochun have known each other for nearly three years. She hasn’t taken the initiative to tell Lu Xiaochun about her relationship with Shan Yi, let alone Mo Xin, with whom she hasn’t had much interaction. However, since the latter is a senior colleague, she can’t be too rigid and can only find excuses to get by.

Speaking of Lu Xiaochun, they haven’t seen each other for over a month without realizing it. Although Lu Xiaochun occasionally sends her messages on WeChat, their conversations don’t last long, mainly because Shan Yi, that lemon-spirited person, gets jealous easily.

She thought she would invite Lu Xiaochun for a meal after they finish the wedding photoshoot.

With these thoughts in mind, Shen Tiantian finished up her final tasks, nodded politely, and returned to her seat. The clock’s hands pointed to six, and the once quiet office became bustling as everyone picked up their belongings and left. A few minutes later, the office fell silent once again.

Yang Li was not in a good mood either, so she packed up her things early. “I’m heading out now. Have a good time,” she said.

Shen Tiantian smiled, “Thank you. See you next week.”

“See you next week,” Yang Li’s tone was subdued.

She also took advantage of these few days to adjust her own mindset. When she comes back next week, she feels that she’ll be back to her usual self.

When the office was empty, Shen Tiantian gently pushed open Shan Yi’s office door, making a soft knocking sound.

Shan Yi looked up, leaning back in her chair and opened her arms.

Shen Tiantian walked over with a smile, leaned down, and kissed her cheek. “Are you done yet? Mom wants us to go back early.”

Shan Yi replied: “Just finishing up. I’ll be done soon.”

Hearing that, Shen Tiantian glanced at the computer. “Is it about the Summer Project?”

Shan Yi nodded, “Please sit and wait for me.”

Shen Tiantian obediently didn’t disturb her and clasped her hands behind her back, slowly surveying Shan Yi’s office.

She walked to the floor-to-ceiling window and could vaguely see the bustling traffic flow below the building. The sky was getting dark, as if it was going to rain.

After a while, Shen Tiantian heard the sound of the computer shutting down, and Shan Yi’s voice came, “Let’s go home.”

Shen Tiantian turned around, “Coming.”

She walked over, held the hand that her wife extended, and looked at the sky outside, saying: “Looks like it’s going to rain.”

“Yeah, that’s why we need to head home early.”

Just as the elevator doors closed, Shan Yi’s phone started ringing. Shen Tiantian accidentally caught a glimpse of the numbers on the screen, and her brows furrowed slightly.

Seeing that Shan Yi had no intention of answering, she couldn’t help but ask: “Why aren’t you picking up?”

Without any hesitation, Shan Yi hung up the call, wrapped her arms around her wife’s ample waist, and said lightly: “It’s not important.”

“Are you…hiding something from me?!”
