Seeing that her wife was truly angry, Shan Yi didn’t dare to be reckless anymore and slowly moved away from her.

As the weight on her body disappeared, Shen Tiantian sighed in relief. She hurriedly sat up, wanting to create some distance between her and Shan Yi. Suddenly, her vision began to darken, and she quickly closed her eyes to ease the sensation.

“What’s wrong?” Shan Yi noticed her unusual reaction and reached out to touch her forehead. “Are you feeling unwell again?”

Shen Tiantian swatted her hand away. “You don’t need to worry about it.”

Her subconscious action had an intensity she couldn’t control. With a ‘pa’ sound, a small red mark appeared on her fair hand. Shen Tiantian was briefly taken aback and sneakily glanced at Shan Yi from the corner of her eye.

Seeing this, Shan Yi furrowed her brows, seemingly a bit helpless. “You’ve hit me already. If this helps you vent your frustration, then go ahead and hit a few more times. Don’t get too worked up, be careful of the baby,” she said as she moved closer.

Initially feeling a bit guilty, Shen Tiantian’s sentiment changed when she saw Shan Yi’s mischievous expression. She let out a soft snort, thinking ‘You even care about the baby? If it weren’t for you making me angry, would I have vomited until my legs went weak?’

Ignoring Shan Yi, she pushed her face away with her hand, got off the bed, and walked out on her own. Shan Yi sighed and followed her worriedly. When she saw Shen Tiantian knocking on Shan Yue’s door, she couldn’t help but feel a bit puzzled.

Knocking several times with no response, Shan Yi couldn’t help but say: “Auntie should be on duty today. Why are you looking for her?”

She lowered her hand that was about to knock again, taking in Shan Yi’s words. Shen Tiantian glanced at her lightly, then turned and went downstairs. She smiled politely at Mother Shan, exchanging greetings. Shan Yi, who had followed them downstairs, was stopped by her mother. She watched as her wife entered the kitchen.

“You better tell me, how did you manage to make Tiantian angry?” Mother Shan furrowed her brows, her expression stern as she asked.

Due to sharing the situation regarding Celia twice during her studies abroad, the family was aware of her existence. Shan Yi didn’t hide anything and replied: “Celia is in China now. She came to the company to see me just now, and that made Tiantian very angry.”

After spending some time together, Mother Shan had gotten to understand Shen Tiantian quite well. She was gentle and kind, not someone who held grudges. Normally, if they discussed the matter openly, it shouldn’t have caused anger. This was the first time she had shown anger in front of her, so the only reason had to be her daughter. Surely, she hadn’t explained things properly.

“Then explain it clearly to her. Unless, did you do something to hurt her feelings with Celia?”

Shan Yi: …

When did she become this kind of person in her mother’s eyes?!

Mother Shan continued, “Can you still go out normally tomorrow? Are the wedding photos still happening?”

These plans were made a month ago. Her daughter wasn’t someone who would create unnecessary trouble. The arrangements should continue as planned. However, as she looked at the person coming out of the kitchen, she became a bit unsure.

Mother Shan had already walked over and smiled: “Tiantian, it’s time to eat. I’ve made fish head soup for you. Come and taste it.”

“Sure, thank you, Mom.” Despite being upset with Shan Yi, Shen Tiantian still smiled sweetly at Mother Shan. She voluntarily took Mother Shan’s hand and walked together towards the dining room, not even glancing at Shan Yi as they passed by.

Shan Yi sighed inwardly and reluctantly followed.

The dining table was set for just the three of them. Father Shan and Shan Xu had gone to a charity event and hadn’t returned yet.

Perhaps noticing that nothing was extracted from Shan Yi, Mother Shan switched the topic to Shen Tiantian, as if unaware of the tension between them. Her tone sounded casual, “What time are you two leaving tomorrow?”

“10:30 AM, we’ll head to the airport two hours in advance.” The one who answered was Shan Yi, and she was looking at Shen Tiantian while speaking.

Shen Tiantian’s hand paused while picking up food, and she muttered something in her heart, but her expression remained unchanged. She had been so angry a moment ago that she had completely forgotten about the upcoming trip to Shan Lan Sea tomorrow.

Considering their current state, could they really take the ideal photos the day after tomorrow? Instead of ending up with lifeless wedding pictures, it might be better not to take them at all. She startled herself with her own thoughts.

“That’s good, make sure to send us some photos,” Mother Shan said, thinking that Shen Tiantian’s silence indicated her agreement. She smiled and nodded.

Whether as a couple or a married couple, conflicts were inevitable when living together. The important thing was to find solutions, and going on a trip, leaving behind the petty issues of work and daily life, was indeed a good approach.

However, soon a strong sense of reluctance crept onto her face, and with a touch of melancholy, she sighed: “I won’t be able to see Tiantian for five days, nor my granddaughter.”

Shan Yi: …..

A slight twitch formed at the corner of Shen Tiantian’s mouth, and she found it somewhat amusing.

After finishing the meal, Shen Tiantian mentioned that she needed to pack her luggage and went upstairs. Back in her room, she took a shower first. Regardless of whatever Shan Yi had tried to say, it was all ignored. Her face clearly read “I’m in a bad mood.”

Shan Yi wished she could peel off her own face, stomp on it a few times, and then put it back on. She resorted to all sorts of tricks. She gently pushed Shen Tiantian, who was engrossed in her phone, looking all pitiful, “Wifey, give me some attention. Cellphone radiation is harmful to the baby. Can we talk a bit?”

Shen Tiantian was deeply engaged in a group chat with Liu Wanjun and Kang Jiaya. She cast a glance at Shan Yi and replied, “I don’t want to talk to you right now.”

She knew she was easy to sway with a few words, and if she responded more, she might forgive her right away. Shan Yi had obviously hit her weak spot and was intentionally trying to engage her in conversation.

She told her best friends about today’s events, crying and seeking comfort. Kang Jiaya had just started working on her end and had seen Shen Tiantian’s message. She immediately got furious and started berating Shan Yi in the group chat.

Kang Jiaya: Who would have thought that someone who looks decent on the outside would turn out to be a scumbag?!

Liu Wanjun: I couldn’t have guessed she was like this. Do you want to come stay at my place for a few days to make her anxious?

With her back turned to Shan Yi, Shen Tiantian’s fingers swiftly moved across the screen: I’m supposed to go for the wedding photoshoot in the Shan Lan Sea tomorrow. Should I still go?

Kang Jiaya: You’re in a bad mood and still taking photos? Can you actually produce good photos like this?!

Liu Wanjun: But this plan has been in motion for a long time. It wouldn’t be good to skip it.

Kang Jia Ya’s perspective aligned with her own, but Liu Wanjun was already married, so her viewpoint leaned more towards ‘consider the bigger picture.’

Indeed, it’s not like they’re breaking up, and the wedding photoshoot has been planned for a while. Skipping it just because of a fight would be difficult for Shan Yi, and her parents would probably notice if something was off between them, right?!

The last thing she wanted was to worry the elders, especially now that they finally had a family.

She didn’t respond to the group messages. Lost in her thoughts, she suddenly drifted into sleep, her consciousness fading away.

Perhaps due to her prolonged inactivity, Shan Yi quietly leaned in to take a look. Seeing that the screen had darkened, she softly called out, “Tiantian?”

No response.

With a sigh of helplessness, Shan Yi gently removed the phone from her hand. Just as she was about to place it back on the table, the screen suddenly lit up. A message appeared in their private group of three.

Kang Jiaya: She’s the one who caused this mess, but now she wants others to share the blame with her? When she was hiding it, she should have considered that Tiantian would be angry…

The rest of the message was cut off, but based on the conversation, it seemed that Shen Tiantian had already told her best friends about the situation. Shan Yi pressed the password, wanting to discreetly see what Shen Tiantian was thinking.

She knew that peeking like this wasn’t right and felt extremely guilty. Just then, Shen Tiantian, who was deeply asleep, seemed to be uncomfortable in her sleep. She moaned softly and shifted her position, ending up in Shan Yi’s arms. Shan Yi stiffened entirely, thinking that her wife had woken up and not being able to come up with a quick explanation at that moment.

Fortunately, Shen Tiantian only shifted in her sleep without showing signs of waking up.

Shan Yi let out a relieved sigh, closed the phone, and placed it back on the bedside table. It wasn’t really her style to pry like that. Shan Yi smiled helplessly, pulled the blanket, and snuggled up with her wife to go back to sleep.

Perhaps because they went to bed early the previous night or due to the upcoming flight, Shen Tiantian woke up early in the morning, while Shan Yi was still sleeping.

She gently moved her arm away from her waist, got out of bed quietly so as not to wake her up, and stood up. While brushing her teeth, she vomited for a while. Thankfully, it wasn’t too severe and didn’t make her legs weak.

When she left the room, Shan Yi had also awakened and was walking towards the bathroom, either looking for her since she wasn’t there or planning to freshen up.

“Good morning,” Shan Yi said softly.

Shen Tiantian instinctively replied with a “good morning.”

After saying it, she scolded herself inwardly. Why did she respond? It made her seem like she wasn’t angry anymore.

Shan Yi ruffled her hair, swiftly moving away from Shen Tiantian before she could hit her, and smiled as she entered the bathroom.

With only a five-day trip ahead, their luggage wasn’t much. Both their belongings fit into a single suitcase. When they were getting into the car, Mother Shan hugged her several times, reluctant to let go, Shen Tiantian didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. She was touched and gently reassured Mother Shan: “We’ll be back soon. I promise you, I’ll post updates every day, alright?”

As if she couldn’t believe it, Mother Shan confirmed directly: “We agreed, don’t forget, okay?”

Shen Tiantian nodded firmly.

Once they got in the car, Shen Tiantian let out a sigh of relief. She looked at Mother Shan with a hint of reluctance. It was the first time she had complained about Shan Yi for going out, but since the plans were already made, there was no turning back.

On the way to the airport, they hardly exchanged any words. After getting off the car, Shan Yi firmly held Shen Tiantian’s hand, and they completed the check-in process before waiting in the boarding area.

After a while, Shan Yi asked: “Would you like some water?”

Shen Tiantian hesitated for a moment. In her heart, she reminded herself that giving in didn’t mean she wasn’t still upset. After consoling herself, she softly agreed with a “Hmm.”

She was pregnant, and that was a responsibility she should take as another mother. Shen Tiantian felt satisfied with the reasoning she came up with. As she looked at Shan Yi’s back, she nodded slightly. Unbeknownst to herself, a faint smile formed at the corners of her lips.

Shan Yi bought bottled water and some spicy chicken feet to prevent Shen Tiantian from getting airsick. She had also considered buying medication, but with her wife being pregnant, she didn’t want to take any unnecessary risks.

These days, Shan Yue was occupied with who-knows-what. Whether it was daytime or evening, she was rarely at home. Her phone calls went unanswered, and asking her anything, even about medication, seemed impossible.

Despite having grown up, this was Shen Tiantian’s first time flying on an airplane. While she had traveled for work before, it was mostly by high-speed rail. As she looked out of the airplane’s window, she felt a strange sense of anticipation.

Seeing the spicy chicken feet in the paper bag, Shen Tiantian’s mouth began to water. Sensing her gaze, Shan Yi chuckled, “Want some?”

Shen Tiantian nodded, then quickly shook her head, retracting her gaze and pretending to look out of the window stubbornly. Shan Yi laughed and opened the packaging of the chicken feet. The aroma wafted over, and Shen Tiantian couldn’t resist sniffing the air, before giving her a glare, “I said I don’t want any.”

“Then I’ll eat it,” Shan Yi said innocently.

Shen Tiantian let out a soft hum, but her eyes were fixated on what Shan Yi held in her hand.

Seeing her almost tearful expression, Shan Yi didn’t dare to tease her anymore. She quickly offered the chicken feet to Shen Tiantian’s mouth.

An upset wife is also very cute, she wants to kiss her.
