Chapter 11: Learn to be a civilized person

Chapter 11 Learn to be a civilized person

Bright skylight brings warmth and a sense of security.

Martin ran around the Clayton community at a constant speed. After his leg injury healed, he began to exercise in a planned way. If a poor man wants to be successful, he must have a good body.

A rolling shutter door opened, and Scott Carter came out of the grocery store with seaweed in his mouth and a wine bottle in his hand. He spat out the seaweed with only his **** left, and shouted to Martin: "Idiot, aren't you tired? You have to know how to enjoy it. !”

Martin was too lazy to pay attention to him and directly gave him the middle finger.

Why exercise? Of course it is for future enjoyment.

After going back and taking a quick shower, Martin went to Carter's house next door to have breakfast.

Lily and Hall packed their schoolbags and got ready to go to school.

Elena brought an omelette sandwich, and while Martin was eating, he asked Harris, who was flipping through a book: "Aren't you going to school?"

Harris said: "I am preparing to apply for college, and it is more efficient to review at home than to go to a public high school."

“Wish you good luck.” After Martin finished breakfast, he took out the tip from last night’s harvest from his pocket and threw it to Elena: “My food money.”

Elena was surprised: "Idiot, are you crazy? Did a **** hit your head?"

Martin drinks milk without looking up: "Found a new job as a bartender at the House of Beasts."

Lily suddenly interrupted: "Why not a gigolo? I'm saving money..."

With two bangs, Elena suppressed them with an iron fist, Lily and Hall covered their noses, and they all became honest.

Martin drank up the milk and said to Elena: "I plan to buy a second-hand car, let's go together?"

Elena picked up a chastity ring and put it on the ring finger of her left hand: "I went to the Methodist Church in the morning to help. The Methodist Association recently joined forces with the Atlanta Methodist Church to promote neoconservatism and provided a generous free lunch."

The first time Martin heard the name: "Methodist?"

Elena explained simply: "Conservative organizations have the same origin as the Methodist church that advertises compliance, and their ideas are just as **** conservative!"

Martin understood: "So you put the ring on?"

Elena said: “I will trust whoever provides the most free food.”

Lily was about to interrupt again, but Martin was on guard: "If you don't want to be beaten like a pig, just shut up."

Elena asked: "You have found a new job, let's have a party to celebrate?"

"When I'm done with this, call your friends and drive in my backyard." Martin pointed to the rented house: "Recently, I always feel that James is not very quiet lying down there. Ask more people to sit on James' head. Dancing, he will definitely stay down there with peace of mind when he sees us living a happy life.”

Elena nodded: "I asked Monica and the others to come over."

Martin called Bruce and met him in the south of the community. The two had made an appointment to go see the car together yesterday.

Vincent-Lee's family is involved in many businesses, including a second-hand car dealership. Bruce is Vincent's crony, and he can get a commission for introducing business to the car dealership.

Among the several cars recommended by Bruce and the salesman, Martin chose a Ford. The price of $4,500 had to be paid in installments, of course.

No matter how cheap it is, he is worried that it will break down on the road.

After paying a down payment of US$900 and completing the formalities, the two went to the gun store.

Martin has no bad record and will definitely buy legal firearms.

The gun store has second-hand guns for sale on consignment, including 80% new Glock 17s from treasure hunters in Tao Warehouse.

Bruce took it apart and inspected it carefully, and suggested that Martin buy it.

The pistol comes with two magazines, including the holster and maintenance oil, plus 100 rounds of ammunition, for a total of US$380.

Georgia has relatively loose gun control, and applications for handgun licenses are very fast. According to gun shop owners, the state government has even discussed a bill to carry handguns without a license or concealment. Entering the small shooting range provided by the gun shop, Martin took out two $5 bills and handed them to Bruce.

Bruce put it away and said with a naive smile: "I'm yours before going to work in the evening."

Martin reminded: "Man, you are a civilized person, and I must also be a civilized person, and don't say anything that can easily be misunderstood."

Bruce removed the magazine and asked, "Ever used a gun?"

Martin shrugged: “I have only played with prop guns and toy guns.”

Bruce started teaching by switching the safety and loading the bullet, while reminding Martin: "Don't forget the poster you promised."

“Don’t worry, don’t worry.” Martin pressed bullets into the empty magazine.

Bruce received the money and taught very seriously, and Martin also studied very seriously.

Not only can you use survival skills, but you can also use them to win roles.

When Professor Bruce shoots, he first explains the essentials of the action and then demonstrates it himself. He moves quickly and has good marksmanship, and his gun hits the target ten meters away.

Martin put on earplugs and fired a few magazines one after another. At least he knew what pistol shooting was like.

As for marksmanship, we can’t talk about it yet.

"For the sake of letting me make money, here are some words of advice." Bruce pulled up a chair and sat down, saying: "When you meet a black scumbag from the south, just like last night, don't hesitate to show that you have a gun. It ensures that we continue to be civilized people.”

Because of what happened last night, Martin made up his mind to buy a gun and a car. He immediately responded: "I will learn from you to be a civilized person."

Bruce added: "When the police come to check you, if you have not committed any serious crime, you must do what the police say. Don't even think about touching the gun. You will be emptied of bullets, you, a **** rookie."

Martin has seen too many videos of this and said: "I won't give them a chance."

Bruce said the last point: "You are a rookie and cannot scare people. When the other party still has a gun, find a way to escape quickly."

Martin said with a smile: "I will run away like shit, and then I'll ask you, an old bird, to get back in trouble."

Bruce sighed: "Now is the era of civilized people. When I first left the army, I dared to hold an AR and shoot with people from other gangs. At that time, I was really stupid and didn't understand that my life was my own."

 Martin asked: “Been a soldier?”

“In the 1990s, I was stationed in the UK.” Bruce said, “I was forced to retire.”

Martin was a little curious and asked: "Why? If it's inconvenient, just pretend I didn't ask."

Bruce smiled naively: "There was a British soldier who lost a bet with me and didn't pay the chips. Don't the British call themselves civilized gentlemen? I used a civilized way to collect the debt."

Martin praised: "Can I comment? You did a great job!

Bruce asked: "You think it's civilized too?"

Martin clenched his fist and touched Bruce: "If you have another chance like this, call me!"

Bruce is a talent, and there is no harm in building a good relationship with him.

In the next two days, Martin practiced shooting for an hour during the day, read recruitment information in the newspaper, looked for suitable opportunities, and went to work in the club at night.

He earns about $20 in tips every night, a figure that could easily double if the club had more patrons.

But there are rarely more than 50 customers present at the Beast House at the same time.

Wednesday afternoon, Martin received a notice from the Marietta Theater Company and went to the Midtown Art Theater on Thursday to wait for the cast selection.
