American Fame and Fortune

Chapter 18: Benefits from both ends

Chapter 18: The best of both worlds

In the office on the second floor of the club, Vincent sat on the sofa, pressing the remote control, and the TV screen kept switching between several news stations.

On the TV screen, large close-ups of the Beastie House Club appeared many times.

Vincent changed a few more channels. In the relevant real-time news, the House of Beasts frequently flashed on the news screen.

There was a lot of movement downstairs, but Vincent didn't look at it. In about half an hour, he saw a close-up of the House of Beasts on five TV stations.

Tomorrow it will definitely become the focus of social news in newspapers.

Leave aside how much money it costs to achieve such media coverage, according to relevant Georgia regulations, the House of Beasts does not even have the opportunity to advertise directly.

Martin Davis, this idiot, is such a talent!

Vincent poured a glass of whiskey and tasted it slowly.

There was a knock on the door and he answered. Martin came in from outside and said, "Boss, there is a situation."

Vincent pointed to the sofa: "Sit down and talk."

"We just rescued Kelly Gray..." Martin quickly said what happened before.

Vincent asked: "What do you think?"

“They can become our largest group of potential customers,” Martin said.

“Do what you want.” The previous operation gave Vincent confidence in Martin.

Martin said one last thing: "Reporters from the media will be coming soon for interviews. Boss, will you come out to receive them?"

Vincent has concerns: “I am not suitable to appear in front of the media.”

"I'll deal with it?" Martin got a clear answer from Vincent and went downstairs to meet a public relations person sent by Kelly. They quickly exchanged opinions and prepared to open the club door.

 …

At the same time, the back door of the club opened. Eight people, including Bruce and Ivan, walked around from the alley to Saijo Street, holding their mobile phones to find their targets.

TV reporter Mia had just finished her busy work and came to the interview car to get a bottle of water. She found a man with a silly smile coming over holding a mobile phone.

She said: "The TV station is working, please don't come close."

Bruce raised his cell phone: "I called the news hotline, and I'm here to get the bonus."

Mia said: "Go to the TV station tomorrow, or leave your email address."

Bruce knew more or less and said: "Don't waste your time, okay? I know you guys have a bonus for breaking news clues."

Mia didn’t want to say more: “This is against the rules.”

Before coming out, Bruce had been taught by Martin and said in a low voice: "Today's matter was caused by the Beast House. I can help you contact the people from the Beast House."

Mia became interested as soon as she heard it. The Beast House, which was the center of attention, has always been closed. After tonight, this gigolo club is bound to become the focus of Atlanta's social news.

She took the bag, took out a check for $50, and put it in front of Bruce: "You promise?"

Bruce took the check, looked at the number, put it away first, and said: "This is the reward for the last news. Now for this news, you have to pay me $100."

Mia hesitated for a moment and took out a check for a hundred dollars. Bruce wanted to take it, but she took it back and said, "Contact the person first."

Bruce dialed Martin's number, but it was Hart who answered the phone. He handed it to Mia: "People from the House of Beasts." Martin, a bastard, would let others take the blame for this.

Mia said a few words to the person on the phone, handed the check to Bruce, and called to the assistant: "The TV truck is driving to the door of the Beast House!"

Bruce collected the check and left, quickly turning into a dark alley.

Mia came to the door of the Beast House and found a rattling sound behind the club door, as if a lock was being opened.

Colleagues who were scattered around looking for people to interview came over one after another.

Mia saw Decker from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and asked, "Why are you here?"

Dike was a little hesitant at first, but when he saw many colleagues coming over, he simply said: "There is a news informant who contacted the people from the House of Beasts for me."

Mia looked ugly: "100 US dollars?"

"The same to you?"

"Me too!"

"Me too!"

The reporters who came over were all like this, with sullen expressions on their faces.

Mia said: "What a bunch of bastards!"

There was no need to guess that it was someone from the club who did it, but they still had to go to the interview because no one wanted to leave.

The door of the club opened and Martin walked out immediately.

The cameras turned around, and the reporters were all inexplicably excited.

The interview ended and Martin returned to the club.

The public relations expert sent by Kelly said: "You have done a very good job. If you have any questions in the future, please contact me as soon as possible."

When the man left, Bruce came over and reminded him specifically: "Man, you are a man!"

Martin said: "As long as it is beneficial to us, I don't mind sending you to Thailand."

Bruce gave him a middle finger, took out the check, and asked, "Will the reporters scold us if we do this?"

"Man, you are used to being a civilized person and have never dealt with the media. Let me tell you, don't be afraid of being scolded when you stand up to the media." Martin was very arrogant: "You think we please them, but they won't Scolding us? You think too highly of them! No matter how much they scold us, they are still famous. The House of Beasts needs to be famous.”

He asked: "Does the club have a legal adviser? In a few days, when the news cools down, we will hold a press conference and send a lawyer's letter to the Methodist Church. This matter can be stirred up several times."

Ivan and others came back one after another with checks and asked: "What to do with the bonus?"

Martin didn’t raise his head, but he noticed that Vincent came to the fence on the second floor and said, “Leave it to the boss to handle it.”

“Everyone participating tonight has a share.” Vincent was very generous, and it was not the club’s money: “Martin will take 30%, and you will share the rest.”

Martin counted the amount of the check and said with disdain: "You shameless people actually got $1,200 back!"

A bunch of middle fingers were raised in front of Martin.
