American fame and fortune

Chapter 289 Almost Died

At JFK Airport in New York, most of the crew were walking around in the waiting hall boredly, waiting for the weather to improve.

A sudden heavy rain caused large-scale flight delays, and the crew's chartered flight was temporarily unable to take off.

Martin stood by the window, the raindrops crackled on the glass in front of him, so dense that even the Boeing airliner not far away could not be seen clearly.

Bruce came over with a bottle of water.

Martin took it, opened it, took a sip, and asked, "Only the polar bear's civil aviation pilots dare to take off in such a horrible weather?"

Bruce shrugged, in a standard American tone: "Who knows, they go crazy and even drink antifreeze."

Chad hurried over to check the rain, and muttered, "When will it stop?"

Martin asked, "Girlfriend is waiting for you in Los Angeles?"

"I'm a bachelor and I don't have a girlfriend." Chad organized his words a little and said, "Remember the Marcus we met at the Angel Shooting Club in Kane?"

The name was familiar, and Martin recalled it a little bit, and remembered: "The soldier who served in Afghanistan?"

Chad nodded: "Yes, that's him. Marcus is particularly interested in the film industry, and wants to turn to stuntman and action director after retiring, and he has been in touch with me."

He paused for a while before saying: "In December, I lost contact with him. I only learned last week that Marcus's SEAL team was attacked during a mission. He was the only one who survived."

Bruce continued: "He's lucky. In a ghost place like Afghanistan, being alive is better than anything else."

Martin didn't say anything, and wasn't interested in the life or death of the SEAL team.

Chad added: "Marcus retired from the army and decided to settle in Los Angeles. He suffered a lot of psychological trauma. I originally made an appointment with him, and I went to see him as soon as I got off the plane."

Martin said: "Don't worry, this kind of strong convective weather will come and end soon."

After waiting for nearly two hours, the crew finally boarded the chartered plane back to Los Angeles.

Martin asked for a blanket to sleep on.

Bruce leans over to Chad and they chat about Afghanistan.

Returning from the cold and humid New York to the sunny Los Angeles, people feel inexplicably comfortable.

Especially when a blond beauty with a body that explodes rushes over to ask for a hug, the mood will be even better.

After a passionate kiss, Martin and Bruce got into the big Mercedes-Benz driven by Blake.

Bruce was driving back to Coty, and Martin and Blake were still unloading luggage from the car when the doorbell rang.

"Who?" Old Bu went to open the door and found that it was the neighbor next door.

Jenna, with blond hair tied into a ponytail, greeted with a smile: "Hi, old Bu." She tilted her head and looked inside the door: "Is Martin back? I've checked for him a few times and he's not there. I just heard something..."

"She came to see you a few times." Black said something to Martin first, then went over and said with a smile: "Come in and talk."

Jenna looked at Black, who had a fantastic figure, and couldn't help asking: "Blake, how did you exercise?"

Blake let people in and said as he walked: "Part is innate, part is exercise. I have been a cheerleader since sixth grade, and I have been exercising a lot."

Martin greeted Jenna and invited, "Sit in the room for a while?"

Jenna shook her head: "No, I'm going to the Sacred Valley soon." She opened the shoulder bag she was carrying, and took out a packaged square box from it: "The wanted sample is out, you know this series best, I'll send the sample Come here, I want you to help me see if there is any room for improvement."

Martin took it, handed it to Black, and said, "You are too kind."

Jenna smiled: "Without you, I wouldn't be able to obtain the copyright of the remake, and I wouldn't be able to borrow the popularity of the arrest warrant. Of course, I'll show you the first time the film is produced. You weren't at home when I came here a few times before."

Martin said politely, "I'll see."

Jenna hurriedly said: "I'll go first, we'll talk later."

Martin and Black sent her out of the house, and when they came back, they took the suitcase and entered the villa. Old Bu winked and went directly to the auxiliary building.

Putting down his luggage, Blake curiously opened the square gift box, and inside, as expected, was a beautifully packaged CD.

Sacred Valley version of "Wanted"!

The heroine Jenna occupies most of the cover.

After all, Blake was only 18 years old, so he couldn't help but said, "How can anyone help me study this kind of film?"

Martin took it and threw it on the coffee table casually: "Give it to Old Bu later."

Blake took it back again, curious: "How about... let's take a look?"

Martin dragged him upstairs: "Go to the bedroom and have a look."

The next morning, after breakfast, Blake went to Burbank to take accent lessons and practice his New York accent.

Martin and Bruce got into the Escalade and went out.

As soon as Bruce turned onto the road, he saw the Joneses taking a walk.

Mr. Jones waved to this side, Martin had no choice but to let Bruce stop, got off the co-pilot, said hello, and asked, "What's the matter?"

"It's not important." Mr. Jones said with a smile, "Did Jenna send you a sample?"

Martin nodded: "It was delivered to me yesterday."

Mr. Jones was very concerned about his daughter's new work, and asked, "How was the filming? Is it okay?"

This question made Martin feel awkward no matter how he listened to it. He thought of several ways to answer it, but felt awkward.

On the other hand, Mr. Jones was not embarrassed at all, but very serious, as if he was discussing a serious art topic.

This is the subject of art! Martin could only hint to himself in his heart, saying: "The filming is very good, a masterpiece, I think Jenna can win this year's award."

Mr. Jones was quite gratified: "If you can really come back with a big prize, it will be considered a great achievement."

Martin decided to end the chat between the two: "I still have things to do, let's talk when I have time."

Mr. Jones said: "When Jenna comes back, I invite you, Old Bu, and Blake to come to my house for tea, and give some opinions on the film with your professional eyes."

Martin waved his hand and hurried into the car.

Bruce stepped on the accelerator, and the car accelerated away from here immediately.

"How is your research?" he asked.

Martin said seriously: "It's very difficult for men to pick more men, but it's much easier to do it the other way around."

Bruce muttered: "When will I be able to 1v2?"

Martin didn't bother to answer the bad guy's bad question, so he took out his cell phone and called Leonardo: "I'm back in Los Angeles, where are you? Come out!"

"I can't do it anymore!" Leonardo seemed to be walking in a hurry: "I just learned that Old Jack's bastard is in the hospital, and I'm going to see him."

Martin raised his voice unconsciously: "What's wrong with him?"

Leon Ando said: "I don't know either. He is at the University of California Medical Center. Come here when you are free."

"Old Bu, go to the University of California Hospital Center!" Martin said to Bruce first, and then said to the phone: "I'll go there right away."

Threesomes of assholes don't turn into twosomes, do they?

Martin rushed to the medical center, found Nicholson's ward, and when he knocked on the door and entered, Leonardo was already standing in front of the bed.

Nicholson lay on the hospital bed, looking very listless.

Martin lowered his voice and asked, "What's going on?"

Leonardo looked serious and pointed at Martin: "Because of you!"

Martin was puzzled.

"That's right, it's because of you." Nicholson raised his head slightly, speaking weakly: "I used the magic medicine you gave me, and then I became like this, almost dying!"

Martin looked at Nicholson, then at Leonardo: "This...how could this be?"

He found that Leonardo was not normal, and immediately took two steps back, leaning against the wall, shaking his hands and face, his voice trembling: "How could this be?"

Leonardo frowned and roared: "You bastard, think about how to make it up!"

Nicholson glanced at him and couldn't help shaking his head: "You are too bad, you have too many flaws."

Before Leonardo could speak, Martin strode over and put his arms around his neck: "Have you used it?"

Nicholson sat up, and instantly regained his energy: "He is a coward, he dare not use it."

Leonardo pointed to Nicholson: "You..."

Martin said: "Your signature triple strike is out, I don't see you acting?"

Leonardo was helpless, he turned out to be the one whose acting skills were despised in the trio.

Martin ignored the bastard, and asked Nicholson, "Why are you in the hospital? You can't have a rave party, do you have too much at once?"

"Basketball game." Nicholson was a little excited: "That bastard referee, the whole game was aimed at the Lakers, and I yelled at him behind him, reminding him to be fair and just, but he went too far..."

Martin said quickly: "Calm down, calm down."

Nicholson took a deep breath: "I was so angry that my blood pressure rose, and my heart felt a little uncomfortable. It's nothing serious."

Leonardo said: "You are the mascot of the Lakers. If you yell at the referee, the referee can't do anything to you as a spectator. They can only blame the team."

But Nicholson said: "You don't watch basketball very much, you don't understand it at all."

Leonardo spread his hands and said no more.

Martin said to Nicholson: "You have a good rest, don't think so much."

Seeing that the old bastard couldn't listen, he simply said: "Don't you think I will have fun with Leo in the future, and you will just watch?"

"Absolutely not!" Nicholson listened this time, and lay back obediently on the hospital bed: "I will fight for another ten years, and I will avenge Naomi Campbell!"

Leonardo was amused by him: "Martin, you bastard can do it!"

Nicholson chased people away: "You two bastards, go away, don't disturb my rest."

Martin said: "You take a good rest, call me and Leo if you have anything to do."

Leonardo also said: "The bastard trio is still waiting for you to come out and preside over the overall situation."

Nicholson didn't sound right: "I'm just a little problem, and you say it's like I'm going to die!"

Leonardo pulled Martin out of the ward together.

Martin said, "Want a place to have a drink and talk?"

Leonardo responded, "Let's go."
