Chapter 75: Nervous

In the morning, Elena had just made breakfast, and Martin entered the Carter house on time with his washed hair on his head.

Lily wanted to speak, but Martin's fist was already raised.

Elena asked: "Going to exercise?"

Martin pulled up his chair and sat down: "It's not easy to persist, and you can't interrupt."

Lily suddenly asked: "Is Martin's physical strength very good?"

Elena's mind turned a little slower: "How do I know?"

With a stabbing sound, the fork in Martin's hand pierced the most protruding point of the round loaf.

Lily dropped the spoon in her hand, quickly picked it up and continued eating as if nothing had happened.

Martin asked Harris: "How many copies did you sell?"

Harris was beaming: "Six servings! I made $1,200."

"Even an idiot like Lily can sell four copies." Elena was surprised: "Is this business easy to do?"

Martin said: "It can't be calculated like this. The first batch of customers are carefully selected."

Harris took the words and elaborated: "Of the six people I circled, five bought it and the other one was a passerby."

Martin guessed that the passerby must be Andrew.

Harris went back to the room, took out a bag, and asked to give half of the money to Martin.

Martin waved his hand: “Take it as my catering expenses.”

Elena was never polite to Martin and took it directly.

The door of the room was pushed open from the outside, and Scott limped in carrying a cloth bag.

Elena, the four siblings were all staring at him.

Scott, smelling of alcohol, picked up a sandwich and ate it.

“What are you doing here?” Elena’s tone was not good.

Scott finished the sandwich, wiped the sauce off his T-shirt, and threw the bag in his other hand on the sofa. He looked at Elena and Harris one after another and said, "This is all I have."

Martin guessed what was in the bag and looked at Scott curiously.

Elena opened the bag and found six small rolls of 20 US dollars inside.

 Harris asked: "Scott, these..."

Scott didn’t speak at all, turned around and walked out. After taking a few steps, he suddenly turned back, walked quickly to the bag, picked up a roll and stuffed it into his pocket: “I also want to buy wine and points.”

He hesitated for a moment, then picked up another roll and stuffed it into his pocket.

With this move, Scott only saw dollars in his eyes, and stretched out his hand again to grab the bag.

Elena snatched the bag and hid it behind her back.

“They are all idiots, a bunch of trash!” Scott limped away.

Lily ran out and chased him to the door, only to see Scott walking towards the new dealers' stronghold without looking back.

She came back with her head hanging down.

Elena handed the bag to Harris: "Don't spend it randomly."

Martin added: “Scott does not earn this money easily.”

“He won’t become a dealer, right?” Elena worried.

 Martin said vaguely: "No."

Elena quietly reached out and held Martin's hand: "It's a good thing that **** Jack is gone. Scott..."

She didn’t know what to say, so her voice became lower: “Scott gets nervous once in a while.”

After breakfast, Elena gave Harris the car keys. He and Lily continued to go out to sell stars, and they were bound to sell the entire universe.

Martin took Elena to the mall to buy clothes. “Someone actually bought the right to name a star.” Elena felt it was untrue:

Martin said casually: "All the land on the moon can be sold."

After finishing shopping for clothes with Elena and having lunch together, Martin sent her to work at the Bishui Bar and drove to the Atlanta branch of the Savannah School of the Arts to audit language courses at the School of Acting.

In the following period, Martin lived a very regular life and basically studied during the day.

With all of his love for me, he occasionally invites Bruce out to practice shooting.

Not only for future career, but also for safety reasons.

In addition, Martin asked Kelly Gray to help collect information and study how Hollywood movies work.

These are all things Martin lacks.

By September, Harris was enrolling in college and Elena was becoming well-known in the bartending industry, earning enough from tips alone to support the family.

Faced with competitors to poach employees, the boss, Mary, had to raise her hourly wage to $10.

Martin was also busy, spending most of his time at Gray's Company, dubbing the early cut version of "Zombie Gigolo."

He has the most roles in the film and naturally has the most voice acting.

Director Benjamin wears many hats. In addition to being an editor, he is also a dubbing director.

 “Ah! Huh...ha!”

In the dubbing studio, the male voice sounded very strange, as if he was doing something shameful: "Come on!"

At the end of a dubbing session, director Benjamin gave a thumbs up to the dubbing studio.

Martin put down the headset and came out, took the towel from his assistant, and wiped the sweat from his hands: "Ben, these films you directed have allowed me to accumulate a wealth of experience."

Benjamin said: "There is no need to be modest, you are born this way."

Martin fired back: "You are the most suitable person to go to the Sacred Valley. The Sacred Valley needs you to save it! Nowadays, the Sacred Valley movies are increasingly diluting the plot and have no fun at all."

He came to Benjamin: "With your talent, you will definitely become a **** with one film and win the best director."

Benjamin said: "I haven't found a wife yet."

Martin was surprised: “What does this have to do with finding a wife?”

“You don’t know?” Benjamin saw that Martin was not pretending, and said: “The one who can win the best director must either have his wife as the heroine or his husband as the hero.”

Martin lamented: “It’s more ruthless than Oscar!”

After a few casual words, people relaxed, and Martin entered the recording studio again.

Benjamin’s lines fit perfectly with the B-movie atmosphere.

Martin got into the mood and gestured at the screen in the recording studio: "Either surrender to me, or I'll blow your head off!"

When it came to the flying battle, Martin watched himself and Jenna flying in the sky, fighting to the death.

He has rich experience in actual combat and can always shout the most appropriate howl at the most appropriate time.

The dubbing of this scene is over and it’s lunch time.

Andrew ran over and invited Martin and Benjamin to have dinner together at a nearby restaurant.

While eating, we discussed the afternoon dubbing.

Benjamin said something: "Martin is an outstanding actor. It is very necessary to strengthen in-depth communication with women. For our drama, one actor has enough practical experience, so the filming went extremely smoothly."

Martin thinks it is very correct.

The three of them were discussing the very serious art of film, and no one would be biased.

Benjamin added: "If an inexperienced actor is used in these plays, even if I write all the lines, does he know what tone to use?"

He praised Martin: "You are that experienced young woman."

Martin almost spit out the soup in his mouth, and quickly changed the subject: "Ben, the post-production can be completed before mid-October."

Benjamin said: "No problem, everyone knows my high efficiency, and the film will be completed before the Savannah Film Festival."
