American Fame and Fortune

Chapter 90: 40 million investment project

Chapter 90: 40 million investment project

Los Angeles Satellite City, Sherman Oaks.

Martin drove into the courtyard of an independent villa on the south hillside.

The car crossed the lawn and stopped at the side of the villa with a red roof and white walls. Martin picked up the gift from the co-pilot and got out of the car.

Wearing a suspender skirt and a silk shawl, Louise walked up to us quickly. Before she even got close, she asked, "Where's my recipe for Italian cannelloni?"

Martin presented a gift box: "Alcoholic, can you be a little patient?"

Louis was not polite to Martin and took it and opened it directly. Inside was a bottle of wine.

 She understood immediately: "White wine?"

Martin said: "Try them all, they all have their own flavor."

The two of them entered the villa together. There was a 40-year-old white woman standing at the door of the villa.

Louise said: "This is Mary, my housekeeper." She briefly introduced Martin: "He is Martin. Give him a key to the house. He can come at any time."

 Mary responded.

Passing through the front hall and entering the living room of the villa, Martin saw a long bar. The glass wine cabinet behind the bar was densely packed with wine.

At the most conspicuous place of the bar, a crystal glass display cabinet was erected, with several copper plate certificates placed inside.

Certificate of creator of three new cocktails, penicillin, expansion screw and romantic halo, issued by the International Bartenders Association.

Louis warned Martin: "Don't laugh, what you trade to me is mine."

Martin pulled up the high chair and sat down: "I didn't laugh, and I didn't say it wasn't yours."

At this time, Mary sent the key and consciously left the villa and went to the annex building next to it.

Louise untied her shawl, threw it on the sofa, and sat opposite Martin: "I haven't settled the score with you yet. You are with Kelly, why are you calling my cell phone? Do you know how uncomfortable I am?"

Martin got to the point: "Why didn't you hang up?"

Louise couldn't explain it at all. She was an alcoholic and a pervert, and she was so cruel that she took out her mobile phone and dialed Kelly's number. When she was connected, she turned on the speaker: "If you dare to hang up, I won't have a friend like you!"

Martin picked up the mixing pot and mixed penicillin and expansion screws respectively.

Waiting for the female drunkard to come over to get the drink, she pressed it directly on the bar.

Martin said into the phone: "Kelly, long time no see, I suddenly remembered a saying, life is so **** up, your posture must look good!"

Kelly's voice came from the mobile phone: "Martin Davis, Louise Mayer, you couple!"

After a long time, Louise’s mobile phone ran out of power and automatically shut down.

The two of them calmed down and were finally able to talk properly.

Martin took out a pen and paper, wrote two notes in a row, and said: "The Italian gun was improved from the French 75, and the taste is a bit picky."

“Hmm.” Louise was lying on the bar, too lazy to move.

Martin tore off a piece of note paper and handed it to Louise: "The recipe for Italian cannon, please remember the preparation process."

Louise picked it up with her fingers and stuffed it into a drawer next to her, jumped off and put on her suspender skirt, and lay on Martin's arm lying across the bar counter: "How is Los Angeles?"

Martin smiled: "Except for missing you, everything else is fine."

Louis knew that he was coaxing, but she seemed happy to hear it, and asked: "How are you doing with your Hollywood accent?"

Martin put on a Hollywood accent: "I've been taking classes and practicing, and I'm much better than before. Listen, do you feel like a big star?"

“It’s easy to be a star.” Louise sighed deliberately: “It’s really hard to be a bartender.”

Martin supported Louise's lying body with his left hand, and tore up a second note with his right hand: "This is a rocket. The raw materials require some effort. I guess you have to go to a special supermarket to purchase them."

“Why do the names of your cocktails always make people think of something else?” Louise straightened up, walked out of the bar, picked up the black-rimmed glasses and put them on, and the slutty air of a drunkard and a pervert dissipated.

She opened a cabinet, took out the document bag she had prepared, and handed it to Martin: "Look at this."

Martin found that the folder was marked Warner Bros., and he opened it to find the script and plan.

"Look at me, I've forgotten things after drinking too much." Louise took away the plan and put it back in the cabinet, saying: "I'm back for vacation this time, and I'm working on a new platter project, initiated by Warner Bros., my Pacific Pictures Ready to participate.”

The script has no name, only a code name "House". Martin quickly flipped through it. It is a typical American two-stroke horror story about a young man traveling.

The story mainly takes place in a wax museum in an abandoned town.

Louise simply said: "The Hilton family has found some people to invest in the remake of Warner Bros.'s "The Devil in the Wax Museum" and will bring funds into the production."

At this point, she started to be unserious again: "You have seen her video tape, right? Honestly, how is her technique?"

Martin really looked at it: “It seems like her eyes and **** are not the same size.”

Louise was very curious: “I’ll take a look when I have time, and we’ll watch it together.”

Martin was still looking through the script and asked: "There are two important male characters."

"Apply for whichever one you like." Louise briefly explained the project situation: "The public cost of the film is 40 million U.S. dollars. The actual investment... You have experienced "Zombie Gigolo". This kind of film production does not cost much. You have the qualifications of a leading actor with a box office of nearly 7 million US dollars in North America, so you are very competitive."

Martin closed the script: "The key is that you are there."

Louise reminded: "Pacific Pictures is only the fourth investor besides Warner Bros., Fox and Lottery. I was involved in an epic production in Morocco. When I returned to North America, I didn't have the energy to take care of the crew. I wanted to get it." You have to work hard for your next role.”

She will not give Martin unrealistic illusions: "I can't guarantee that you will get the role, but you must be the strongest competitor."

Martin picked up the script and asked, "Shall I discuss it with my agent?" "Okay." Louise agreed.

Martin recalled what Louise said just now: "You invested in an epic masterpiece? Cooperated with Warner Bros.?"

Louis said: "The film is almost finished filming, so don't think about it."

“That’s not what I meant.” Martin explained: “I heard people say that Warner Bros. and Brad Pitt are collaborating on a new Trojan Carnage movie.”

Louise shook her head: "You are talking about Troy, I am investing in another one, about Alexander the Great."

Martin was not hopelessly bad, so he asked: "Has all the money been invested?"

"Of course." Louise went to get the wine glass and poured a glass of wine for herself and Martin: "So, I have to keep an eye on the set."

Martin didn't know what to say. In fact, nothing was appropriate. He had no qualifications.

Louis toasted to Martin and said, "Let's go take a shower first and then watch the Hilton family's **** together."

Martin hugged her directly: "Do you have a video tape?"

Louis hung on Martin: "I got it a long time ago, but I haven't looked at it yet."

Not long after, a special movie was released in Louise's private screening room.

Louis took out Martin's cell phone and dialed Kelly's number.

The call was connected on the other side, and Kelly shouted: "You guys, if you want to open the door, hurry up!"

Martin clicked on his mobile phone to play the call.

Louis was going to have dinner with her family in Brentwood in the evening. When it got dark, she got into a Bentley and left the villa.

Martin took the script and went straight to Century City.

In order to compete for this key role, brokers are indispensable.

Although it was dark, Martin always believed that Thomas was a very professional agent.

I definitely wouldn’t mind talking about work at this time.

 He specifically called Thomas midway.

 …

In a high-end restaurant in Century City, Thomas very gentlemanly helped his girlfriend pull out a chair and waited for her to sit down before going to the opposite side.

He asked someone to book a seat and specially apologized: "Amanda..."

Amanda turned to look at the night view outside the window and said softly: "I'll give you a chance to see how you perform."

Thomas loosened his tie and laughed.

The waiter brought the menu, and Thomas asked Amanda to order. The two of them had just finished ordering when Thomas' cell phone rang suddenly.

Amanda's face dropped.

Thomas was cruel and cut off the phone.

But within ten seconds, the call came again, and the name on the caller ID was Martin Davis.

"An emergency may occur." Thomas quickly explained: "I just want to ask, just one thing."

Amanda is not an unreasonable person and nodded slightly.

Thomas answered the phone and pinched the fuse burning in his chest: "If you have something to say, tell me something."

Martin is a very particular person, and without any nonsense, he said directly: "We have a very important job to talk about, the leading actor in a project with an investment of 40 million US dollars, co-produced by Warner Bros. and Fox, Pacific Pictures participating in the platter, Louise May The opportunity you fought for me.”

He emphasized: "I just got the script from Louise, Thomas, we have already taken the lead!"

Thomas immediately realized the importance of this opportunity to Martin and to him, without thinking: "Where are you, we will meet now..."

Having said this, he suddenly woke up.

Things should not be like this. I took some time tonight to apologize to Amanda before going to the hotel.

Thomas covered the phone receiver: "Amanda, please listen to my explanation..."

Opposite him, Amanda put on her coat and gave Thomas a **** regardless of being in a high-end restaurant: "We're done."

Thomas looked at the phone in his hand and then at Amanda who was leaving quickly, hesitating.

Martin's voice rang on the phone again: "A production worth 40 million US dollars, the leading actor, we can't miss it!"

Thomas cursed Martin ten thousand times in his heart. If he could kill someone with his mind, Martin would definitely explode on the spot.

Love and career, dog-licking and success, what choice should you make?

Thomas was still hesitating, and Martin's voice came out again: "Where are you? I'll go find you."

An outstanding newcomer trained by an established entertainment agency made a man's choice. Thomas punched the armrest of the sofa and said, "I'm in Century City. Come here quickly."

This **** up life, these **** up clients.
