Apocalypse: System of lotteries

139 "You...are..."

Bruno and Torena stood back to back, guarding their fronts amidst the chaos. The two had teamed up to survive since the advent of the apocalypse.

The commotion made it arduous for them to differentiate between friend and foe. They could only spin in place and swing their weapons at anyone suspicious.

"Oh my god, isn't that the monster from the copy?" Bruno exclaimed, pointing his weapon forward.

Torena, who held two swords, followed his gaze and glimpsed a figure in a leather jacket, sporting sunglasses, and a mask, rushing towards them with a chainsaw.

The two of them hollered in unison, "Chainsaw Maniac!"

"What should we do?" Torena asked.

"We follow the copy's strategy!" Bruno replied.

They swiftly removed their headscarves and applied an unknown adhesive substance from their storage to their faces. Concurrently, they shouted at the chainsaw maniac who was closing in on them, "We are uglier than you!"

Ming was taken aback and glanced at them, thinking, Are they crazy? And isn't it a wrong time to admit you guys are uglier?

"Look, he slowed down, just like in the copy!" Torena observed.

"But he's not wearing the same outfit," Bruno noted.

"Who cares? As long as it works, let's slay him!"

"Let's kill him!" There was more than one.

Bruno and Torena bellowed loudly as they charged toward the electric saw man. However, the "electric saw maniac" in front of them sped up once again, and they watched as he over them and swiftly turned around.

They witnessed the "electric saw maniac" holding the electric saw and severing the arm of a masked man wielding dual blades before swinging the saw forward and chopping off both of the man's legs.

"Oh my goodness!" Torena and Bruno were shocked by the gory scene; the electric saw maniac was too savage.

At this point, the "electric saw maniac" turned around and glanced at them sideways. They were so frightened they stepped back, only to hear the other person say, "I'll leave the rest to you two  together."

"..."

Dammit, the electric saw maniac can talk and even invited them to chop up the body together!

Then they watched as the guy, holding the electric saw, charged toward the crowd again.

Smack! Smack!

While the two were still stunned, someone tapped them on the back of their heads.

"What are you two standing there for? Chop it up!" David scolded them and then employed a sand spell to wrap up the zombie without legs and arms. He advanced and ripped off the mask on the zombie's face, revealing shimmering blue eyes.

"Chop it up!" David bellowed at the two.

Bruno and Torena peered at the motionless zombie enveloped in the sand, their minds somewhat dazed.

Was the electric saw maniac an ally?

As David departed, he stated, "Once you finish dismembering it, immediately run through the crowd and tell everyone to remove their masks and goggles so that all the elementalists and mutants can remove their face coverings and lessen misunderstandings! "

"We understand!" Torena and Bruno nodded in unison, hacking away at the zombie.

David then proceeded with his quest to find Ming.

Jeremy was exceedingly calm. Since he had followed god's guidance and became an expert in stealth, he had adapted entirely to this world. He could walk around without any clothes on, and no one could detect him, not even the zombies.

He looked upon the frantic crowd around him with a smug smirk. He strolled around the battlefield, picking up swords and equipment that had fallen on the ground and stripping clothes off the dead bodies, storing everything in his inventory.

He spotted a "person" in the crowd holding an electric saw at that moment. After severing the limbs of another individual, the "person" darted past him. Jeremy had reason to believe that this was a humanoid lord zombie, but he didn't attack. Instead, he followed closely behind, sensing that this potent creature could yield more equipment.

Hekate grasped a narrow sword and observed the chaotic crowd panicked and scurried left and right, attempting to flee. She glimpsed a "person" wielding an electric saw, slicing individuals into "human sticks" and then charging towards another location to resume the process.

"Electric Saw Maniac!"

Hekate was extremely frightened, and at that moment, she saw the blood-spattered maniac rushing toward her!

"omg !"

"Crazy Explosive Bomb!"

Hekate shouted as she traced a flaming circle in front of her with her sword and swung her sword with both hands. The flaming hoop burned brilliantly, and the explosive bombs spurted out like a barrage, spraying forward.

"I'll incinerate you; I'll bludgeon you to death!"

"Ah! Explosive bombs! Explosive bombs!"

"I'll burn you to death!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Hekate leaped around, continuing to swing her sword wildly, but her mental exhaustion was too immense. Suddenly, she felt dizzy and was about to take out a mental potion to drink when she saw the electric saw maniac appear in front of her and gaze at her, saying, "What kind of grudge do we have that you had to use your nirvana to me?"

"You, a zombie, can speak? Ah! Explosive bombs!"

Hekate raised her sword to use her spiritual ability but discovered that the electric saw maniac had seized her arm. He yanked her back and flung her behind him, causing her to tumble.

"I..."

Hekate struggled to rise with her hands on the ground, but she witnessed the maniac holding the electric sever the arm of another "person" and then turn them into a "human stick." She then observed that the maniac removed the cloak and hat of the "human stick," revealing a pair of eyes that sparkled with a blue light.

The electric saw maniac looked back at her at that moment and declared, "Don't just sit there. Use your skills against it as you did earlier." He then dashed back into the crowd.

Jeremy had initially assumed that tracking the electric saw maniac would allow him to collect a plethora of equipment. However, to his astonishment, he didn't see any equipment as he followed him. Instead, a barrage of explosive bombs suddenly struck him in the face. Despite having various escape skills, he was still burned by the flames of the incendiary bombs, and his skin was blistered like a steamed crab. To his dismay, he had lost all of his body hair.

Hekate stood up, finally comprehending that the electric saw man was a good person. She then imbibed a bottle of mental potion and brandished her sword, yelling, "Crazy Explosive Bomb!" at the "human sticks" on the ground.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

David continued to search for Ming after immobilizing a zombie. As he passed by a woman, he was stunned by her madness. Her use of fire-based skills was nothing short of insane. As he passed by her, he remarked, "Miss, don't make yourself dizzy!"

"I know!" Hekate swayed her body and then took out another bottle of mental potion and drank it.

"Wow, you've got some spunk!" David gave her a thumbs up and sprinted forward, reaching Ming's side and stating, "It's utter chaos. There are numerous friendly-fire incidents. I believe there are at least dozens of lord-level zombies interspersed among us! Perhaps even more! Specifically, the elementalists and the aliens tightly cover their faces, giving those zombies an opening."

"Then ask them, do they prefer their faces or their lives?"

"I gave up my face a long time ago." David removed his hood and bandana, exposing a face coated in flowing sand and dust.
