Aromatic Flesh

Chapter 19.2

Gu MingYue was struggling to stay conscious within the artificial cave as he used her again and again as she could hear the conversation between the Princess and the Duchess. Wei Min was a smart heroine, and her love for Mu JinYu was clearly sincere and genuine, hence she would definitely not give up so easily.

For a lonely man such as Mu JinYu, who had lost his mother in his early years and was constantly being harmed by his stepmother, the only way to truly move his heart was sincerity. This was exactly what Gu MingYue had done, and she clearly knew that the only way to convince someone was to first convince herself.

However, the Princess’ love for him was pure and sincere, and in the long run, no man would be able to avoid reciprocating such strong feelings. When that happened, Gu MingYue knew that she would not be able to keep him by her side such as now, because not only had she been defeated by the so-called “love”, she would also be defeated easily by the difference in their statuses in society1.

But, Gu MingYue had not lost the fight yet, as she was still holding on to the ultimatum. And after that happened and he still chose Wei Min over her, she would accept her defeat!

After finishing within her once again, the haze within his eyes was finally clearing up, and upon recalling the group of women from before, he was finally slightly filled with a sense of awkwardness.

Being rumored as a starving and unfulfilled man was one thing, but being seen like this in real life was another thing entirely!

Wei Min had waited outside the artificial cave for an entire hour before the couple finally appeared at the entrance. She quickly landed her gaze on the woman who was being carried sideways within his arms, whose face, though exhausted, was pink and fulfilled.

Such a disgraceful creature!

Women like her were only meant to be a plaything for men! And to think that this bed-warmer would look so attractive… Her anger was almost unbearable.

Noticing that her plan had worked and that Wei Min was filled with rage, Gu MingYue struggled against Mu JinYu’s hold and walked up shakily towards the princess before curtsying and greeting her respectfully, “Your Highness.”

Wei Min clearly knew that this wasn’t the time to reveal her hostility towards this woman, hence she merely nodded slightly to acknowledge her greeting, before fixing her gaze on Mu JinYu and staring mesmerizingly straight into his eyes.

Wei Min’s heart clenched bitterly as she realized that his beautiful obsidian hair was slightly unkempt, most probably due to their previous activities.

However, she kept her expression blank as she moved past Gu MingYue nonchalantly, “Isn’t this… the scent of the Jaded Nectar Aphrodisiac?” Her eyes were full of care and concern for Mu JinYu, “Sir Mu, so just now…” Her expressions showed pity for his situation and position in this household, but also understanding that he was not in the wrong.

Mu JinYu’s eyes widened slightly at her words, surprised that she knew about this aphrodisiac, but after giving it some thought, he decided that it made perfect sense, as she was, after all, a princess from XiLiang, and the drug was, too, originated from the same country.

Because of the aromatic scent from Gu MingYue’s body, Wei Min was sure that Gu MingYue must’ve been one of the accomplices who drugged Mu JinYu. Moreover, everyone in the city knew that he was very happy with the beauty gifted to him by the Duchess. Wei Min decided that Gu MingYue must’ve committed this scandal deliberately under the orders of the Duchess to ruin Mu JinYu’s reputation among the nobles.

“I understand the difficulties you’re in, and I’m sure you know how much you mean to me. If you wish to punish the person who initiated this cruel plan, I’m more than willing to help…” But her words were quickly interrupted by the man standing in front of her.

“Your Highness is very kind and this one appreciates it a lot, however, this is a family matter, and I will handle it myself accordingly.” Mu JinYu knew that Princess XiLiang had probably misunderstood the situation from the fact that she was staring daggers at his beauty. Her gaze was like hard cold steel, and if gazes could kill, his beauty would’ve been slashed to pieces within seconds.

From their stiff conversations, Gu MingYue understood that Wei Min seemed to have misunderstood the situation, but she had no reasons to explain to a love rival. In fact, this is actually advantageous to her, imagine seeing your love interest getting harmed and still shielding the suspected accomplice after being treated unfairly, and whatnot, the suspected accomplice was his current lover…

No sane woman wouldn’t feel deep hatred in her heart at this.

And that was exactly what Gu MingYue needed! She wanted her to feel intense hate and jealousy, to the point that she loses her senses and poise from the resentment. This is the only way to make her say or do something that was out of her place in the heat of the moment.

Wei Min gaped at him in disappointment, it was obvious that she had not expected him to reject her in such an outright manner.

All because of this lowly plaything! She could not fathom why he would protect a bitch who had harmed him.

But Wei Min, who had only witnessed the bottom half of the conspiracy, would never have guessed that the Duchess’s initial plan was to frame Mu JinYu with her own niece.
