Aura didn't get Fiona because he pitied her, nor did he get her because he was interested in her as a toy, though he'd be lying if he said she didn't arouse him.

He bought her because he thought she would make a great experimental subject, since Aura would have to replace her leg, her eyes and probably some of her internals. He'd also have to heal her tail and help her recover from her trauma.

Aura was no mad scientist, but he only knew the basics of healing magic and couldn't learn more without devoting himself to a god. If Aura lost a limb, he would be able to function in the short term by using a force arm, but he couldn't maintain that for very long.

Learning to make force-operated prosthetics was a good way to make up for his lack of faith. Not to mention that this endeavor would allow him to level up all of his crafting skills as well as his force manipulation skill by an impressive amount.

Aura pulled the cart containing Fiona all the way back to the Cliff of Howling Songs, and after tying her to him in a makeshift sling, he rappelled back down into the caves, bringing her to his now mostly-fleshed out base.

He had a basic set of furniture, alchemy and carpentry stations and a room for forging. There was a kitchen, three bedrooms and several unfinished rooms for farming and other processes.

Aura set Fiona down on one of the spare beds and headed over to the alchemy station to make an anesthetic potion as well as a few healing potions.

Now began the grizzly process of chopping Fiona's leg off.

Her leg would never heal to any level of functionality, the bones had been broken so badly that they may as well be powder, so the only realistic option was to cut it off, and healing anything else had to wait until it was gone, since healing potions and spells would try to regrow the bones, which would make things far, far worse.

Aura's Private Residence

The anesthetic potion and all six healing potions were used, and Fiona looked somewhat better.

She had been properly bandaged, and her tail had been set and healed into its original shape.

Fiona herself probably wasn't very happy with these developments, but she hadn't had a choice.

The potions had done their job and sealed the stump where her leg used to be, as well as fixing her throat.

Until Aura got the materials to replace her damaged organs, he wouldn't be getting close to her internals.

From his examinations, he needed to replace just about everything inside her. She needed a new heart, a new lung, her spleen was burst, both her kidneys were in pieces, assumedly from all the substances the bandits had shoved down her throat to make her more obedient, her liver was shot, her stomach wasn't too damaged but Aura was taking no chances, and her large intestine needed replacing too.

Most organs could be replaced using a clone fruit found in a jungle near Farbridge, but the lung and heart would need to be replaced soon, and the materials for those were delicate and rare.

Aura had no intentions of making her a new heart, he planned on getting her a replacement, and there was a convienient place to get one nearby.

Or at least nearby for him.

The heart he wanted was a dragon's heart, normally rather difficult to get ahold of, but in the opposite side of Warrick, a thunder dragon was about to die after having been severely injured in a battle with another dragon.

A dragon heart was way too big for Fiona's little body though, so Aura planned to use the dungeon core's Resize Object function to shrink it down.

On his way back from dragon hunting, Aura planned to head out of his way a bit to grab a rare fish from Shadow Lake, a Black Tuna to be specific.

Black Tuna are freshwater fish (for some reason) that can only be found in Shadow Lake, and their lungs were great for humanoid transplants, since they would give an individual affinity for the darkness attribute as well as functioning as a lung.

Aura also planned to give Fiona the Black Tuna's gills, since breathing underwater would be useful for him in the long term.

Aura would also give Fiona the eye of the thunder dragon, since that would allow her to see spirits, as well as allow her to see dragon force, which she will be able to generate from her new heart.
