Attack On Titan: Alternate

Chapter 34 - Paper Plane

Waiting in the shadows, Aria needed to wait for an opening to talk to Yimir. To be honest, Aria first wanted to jump in and grab her from the beginning but she was stopped bu Annie for being a bit to optimistic. What if she reacts like it would be a kidnapping, they probably wouldn't want to cooperate with them. Therefore, she recommended to sneak in and talk to her without bursting into the scene.

Since then, Aria had been waiting on the side lines until there was a gap. If Yimir could stray away from the group and be on her own, Aria could speak to her easily. But she could only grab a small piece of paper and write what she wanted to say. The letter consisted of a few things, possible alliance with her and helping her. Also, Aria asked if Yimir could stay with the scouts until they find the mystery behind the walls.

As Yimir was a marlayen citizen, she knew what would happen if they finally figure out what was beyond the walls. So Aria was certain she would agree to help. After writing it, she carefully folded it into a paper aeroplane and waited a second longer before throwing. Yimir, who had just finished speaking with Hange, lay somewhere on the side to heal the rest of her wounds. When she turned her head, a small white bird like thing was flying her way. It eventually landed by her feet waiting for something. She looked in the direction the paper bird came from but didn't see anyone. She picked up the paper and unfolded it, seeing words, she began to read what was written on it.

After reading it, she was thinking about what the letter would mean. The future could be better or worse, but what the letter read was if she stayed with the scouts it would turn out much better than any other route. She finally agreed to stay after thinking about protecting Historia. Managing to burn the paper before anybody saw it, Yimir thought about the person who wrote it. Aria was very good looking, she had a good temperament. It seemed that she stayed around with Annie and finally progressed in their relationship. She also wishes she could say the same thing, but it seemed she would have to wait a little longer.

...

After arriving on the wall, the scout team waited until they could move again. They also got most of the injured up onto the wall. Although Yimir only got an injuring on the side, it messed up quite a bit on the inside as well. She was lifted onto the wall with a stretcher, other people also got carried up who didn't have access to ODM gear.

When Yimir reached the top, Historia raced over and sat with her. Hange also walked over and wanted to ask her some questions. She carefully sat down with a clipboard and paper and asked the first question "What's your objective here in the walls?"

"My objective?" Yimir looked at Historia then continued "I accidentally came here a few years ago, originally I wanted to go home but I couldn't anymore. When I heard of Historia's problem back when I snuck into a church to get food, I heard two pastors talk about her and their family."

After Hange had finished writing it down, she asked another one "Are you here to help or destroy humanity?" Yimir suddenly laughed but it turned into a violent cough due to the injury. "I don't have a side, I mainly here to continue living my life and helping Historia."

"Do you know the identities of the colossal and armoured Titan?" This was one of the questions Hange really wanted to know. Yimir kept quiet for a second but said "I don't really know, but they might be on the scouts. That's all I know." Now excited by the information she got, Hange asked one more question.

"Is there anyway for us to transform like that?"

"Not like Eren or me, but the Titans you see roaming around could be you" confused by the words, Hange left crestfallen and waited on more information. Suddenly, the garrisons advanced squad came running along the wall. Hannes who was in charge, saw the people on the all and seemed amazed.

...

A few minutes later, after he climbed onto the wall, he looked at the group and said "There's no hole in the wall, we've been looking for it the whole night but we couldn't find it. Hange seemed stumped but said "As there no hole, we fall back to the Stohess district." Everyone nodded and started to get ready for the journey back.

While walking back, Armin started to contemplate what was happening "If there wasn't any hole in the wall, then how could titans get in? Could they just have magically appeared or something." Armin couldn't tell why they were there and how they got there. Suddenly he thought of something. He ran of towards Hange with an intent to ask something. As he got up there he quickly talked "Captain Hange, I think I might know how the Titans got in!" She spun around and looked at him. he looked at her and continued "If we think about it, we know that some people can transform into Titans. But, the people who can seemed to do it willingly and know. With the brainless titans, do we know were they came from. No, but i believe, they were transformed just like Eren or Yimir but forced to do so"

After listening to Armin's explanation, her eyes lit up and thought back to what Yimir said. She thanked Armin with a hug and ran back with a small notebook and start to madly write down some theory's.

At the back of the group, Reiner and Bertholdt had stopped Eren to tell him something. Eren looked up and asked "What do you want?" After a slight pause, he said "Eren, im the Armoured Titan and Bertholdt is the colossal Titan. We originally came here to destroy humanity, but its not needed anymore. If you come with us, there is no need."
