Back For My Daughter

"You ask me why?"

In the office, the vice-rector looked at Yuan Meng with a look that seemed to be laughing at her intelligence as he didn't answer to her question but instead asked one.

He then sneered as he placed the pen back into its holder, giving a glance at Yuan Meng.

"I think that you should be aware of the reason yourself."

Yuan Meng's eyes narrowed as she frowned.

So far in her 2 years of work here, there had been nothing that she thought she might have done wrong.

In fact, the reason why she was willing to get such a low payment was not that she could not get a better job.

But the reason was that she didn't want to let her presence known.

And being a teacher would be said as an occupation which didn't ask for much of a background.

As for the others, she was aware that the people of her family would get to know where she was if she were to work in any of the big companies even with her qualification and ability.

One had to know that although she didn't pay much attention to the big industries of the Yuan Family, under the guidance of her grandfather, Yuan Meng had a great understanding and an in-depth idea about everything that a corporation or a company would need to in order to get better and bigger.

In fact, if one were to compare, then maybe it was possible for her to be compared with Li Zhiyun who had grown the Han Corporation to its current heights with her more than a decade of hard work and patience.

And both of their abilities would not fade when compared to each other.

The reason was that, even if Li Zhiyun had to make Han Industries bigger and better, she was not like Yuan Meng who had commanded and taken over the billion-dollar worth of Yuan Industries under her hands.

One had to know that while making something better, one would only need to understand the good things that one would need to implement to make the company or the industry better.

But in order to continue the already grown industry to remain in its flow and still continue to make progress in order to not be taken over by the competitors, one would have to keep a lot of things in their mind.

This was the difference between Yuan Meng and Li Zhiyun.

But right now, Yuan Meng didn't want her ability to be known since she was aware that in her mind, the rise of a company would not take long and would defiantly not be left unnoticed by the other big players of society and eventually it would lead to her family knowing of her presence.

Although these years they didn't treat her or deemed her with any kind of importance.

But after the death of her Grandfather, she eventually felt wary about almost everyone present in the family.

And there was only one exception to that.

Before Ye Qian's demise, she had never thought about these things thoroughly, but after he went missing when she thought of how she was going to take care of her family and raise her child, Yuan Meng had a wary feeling that she should not use her means and experience in the Yuan Industries here.

"There is nothing that I can think of, I have always been a good teacher to my students and also my class had the most progress in this academic year."

Without even taking a pause to take a breath, Yuan Meng continued as she narrowed her eyes at the Vice-rector.

"As for my subject, the results are even better if you are to compare the results with the last academic year, Vice Rector."

Hearing Yuan Meng's rant, for a moment the vice-rector also felt a shiver run down his spine.

He smiled wryly feeling his back which seemed to have turned cold.

"Hehe, Miss Yuan, you seem to be pretty much angry about the management of the school, but let me tell you, this is not due to your teaching."

For the moment, he was afraid of Yuan Meng, which made him say this, but after a moment his voice turned cold.

"But, this same attitude of yours with your colleagues, and the other teachers, has made us the management to take this kind of decision."

As soon as he said that, Yuan Meng released a breath and frowned looking at her hands which she had banged on the table just a moment ago.

The vice-rector smiled gleefully thinking that Yuan Meng had finally given up and thought that the previous outburst was just because of her sudden anger.

He had seen her file that day and knew that apart from his daughter who was in kindergarten there was absolutely no one with her in this city.

And with the pay that she was probably getting, it was already quite hard to keep their stomachs filled by the end of the month.

He thought that after venting her anger, Yuan Meng would understand that and she would give up any hope and would want to try to do anything that it would take for her to continue to keep on working here.

And with Yuan Meng holding her head low, this only made him confirm that his thoughts were right and now was his chance to OFFER HER HELP.

"SIGH, Miss Yuan, I know that this letter of expulsion might have caused a dramatic change to your life, and I really sympathise with you."

He sighed while standing up and saying he really felt bad for such an outcome for her.

"I know that your child is still in kindergarten and other than the two of you, you don't really have anyone else to rely on in this city."

His voice sounded melancholic as he was sad that Yuan Meng had to face something like this.

With that, he extended his hand towards Yuan Meng's shoulder wanting to assure her.
