Back For My Daughter

1196 Where Is Jiao?

Seeing Yuan Meng walk into the elevator while the door closed from the corner of his eyes, Lu Jian heaved a sigh of relief.

"Thanks, brother Le, if you hadn't said that, I would not have thought about it just then."

Lu Jian shook his head with a wry smile, normally he would not have been like this, but that strange form of Yuan Meng had instilled deep fear into his mind and heart, even if he didn't feel the same on the surface, he still was petrified knowing that Yuan Meng was about to walk out of the office.

And he was right at the entrance.

So for him to not have reacted even with such loud sounds and yells was not something that he could easily come up with a way that would look acceptable.

"I got you, kid."

Le Zheng laughed and then remembered.

"Now take care of that guy, be better not die from the pain, and cough up some excuse."

"Yes brother Le, taking care of a scum is nothing to worry about, if Eldest Young Miss had not made him suffer so much, you know that I would have wanted to wash my hands as well."

Lu Jian glanced at the closed door, rising to his feet and walking towards it.

"Haha, no matter how much we would want him dead, we can't let him die either, a few people know that Eldest Young Miss went to the office, so it won't take long for people to get back this to her, so now only you, the peon from vice rector's office can easily give an excuse for this."

"I got it."

With that, Lu Jian walked into the office, but only after taking a look at the vice-rector did he understand why Le Zheng was saying all that.

But he also didn't hurriedly call the people right after but in fact, did some basic medication and checked if the vice-rector would still be able to live if he were to wait for a while.

It was only after 15 minutes since Yuan Meng had walked out of the office did, he rushed out of the entrance calling out.

"Quick, come here, the vice-rector fell from the file rack!"

Meanwhile, back in the staff room.

"Sister Meng, you didn't lie to me right?"

Nign Wei asked with her brows raised right on her forehead.

The genuine surprise on her face was enough to let one feel that she was really shocked to hear some kind of news for the first time and couldn't actually believe it.

"Ufff, Sister Wei, now it's been like more than 10 times that you have asked the same question and I have also answered the same."

Yuan Meng could not help but roll her eyes while playing with the pencil with her fingers.

"Huh, umhm, I am sorry."

Ning Wei smiled dryly, squinting her eyes before turning back to do her work.

Right now both of them had off classes and so they were both making test papers for the final exam for the academic year.

Right after Yuan Meng walked into the staffroom, there had been many gazes filled with mockery that glanced at her, not like she cared and wanted to tell them that she was not going to leave and nor would anyone force her to.

But that was not the same with Ning Wei.

The woman was so shocked in amazement that she would have jumped for joy if not for Yuan Meng stopping her, nonetheless, she was still filled with joy.

Even though she had been determined to make herself tougher, it would still take a while for her to become one.

All this long, it was only Yuan Meng who was her friend and later on they stumbled with Jiao, that grumpy girl.

So for her, even just the possibility of Yuan Meng not being together with her was enough to make her sad.

"But Sister Meng, you didn't tell me how you convinced the vice-rector not to make you leave the school?"

Ning Wei pursed her lips asking, as she remembered that the vice rector was a fatso and from his gaze, she was sure that he was not a clearly good person either.

Yuan Meng raised her brows, giving it a thought and then continued.

"That... I just said him that the results of my students have been great if he was to compare that to the last years and then he easily agreed to let me stay."

"Just like that?"

Hearing Yuan Meng's words, Ning Wei was confused as she asked while tilting her head.

"Hmm, yeah, just like that."

As she nodded, the corner of Yuan Meng's lips curved into a smile as she turned back to the book.

Ning Wei looked around and then asked with a whisper.

"Sister Meng, that guy didn't try to take advantage of you right?"

"If he had then you know I would have made him pay for that."

Yuan Meng shook her head and then asked.

"Sister Wei, why do you ask such a question?"

"Umm Sister Meng, that day when he was at the meeting, he was staring at me and I didn't like that, it made me feel uncomfortable."

Ning Wei pouted and then continued.

"If I was not in front of so many people and he was not the vice-rector, I would have hit him with my sandals."

From the looks of it, Ning Wei seemed to be really annoyed with the vice-rector.

"Hehe, Sister Wei, then you should not be worried, because that guy might have already gotten what he deserved."

Yuan Meng giggled, holding her hand on her lips.

"Huh, what do you mean?"

Ning Wei was again confused by her words, but Yuan Meng asked something to her even before she could say anything.

"Ahh, Sister Wei, did Jiao say anything to you, that girl has turned smokes all these days."

Yuan Meng pursed her lips thinking of Jiao.

Although she had tried to call her a while ago, she was not able to after being called into the office, but later she thought that maybe Ning Wei might know of something since Jiao might have hung out with her when Ning Wei didn't stay with them.
