Beauty Is A Beast

"You really are stupid!" For the ninth time, Mu Yang kept the same sentence, again and again, berating Li Wei.

"Stop berating me, you're not my mother." Li Wei retorted back. Her ears hurt. Mu Yang is screaming in her ears.

"Here, eat this. It will stop the numbness. Although I'm still an alchemist apprentice, I assure you I have learned a lot to make this pill."

"Are you sure, it's not poison?"

"You!"

Mu Yang stumped the pill to her mouth in anger. Li Wei looked at Mu Yang murderously. The Pill gave her a cold and soothing feeling, she moves her hands and feet a little, her hands and feet gave a twitch, the numbing pain also slowly dissipating.

"Why did you help me?" Li Wei asked the cold and expressionless Mu Yang on the side. She notices that the girl had a gloomy expression but quickly disappeared when she turned to look at Li Wei.

"Because you're stupid." Mu Yang answered smilingly, but receives a warning glare of Li Wei.

"You're stupidly courageous." She added. "You're the only person I met that take advantage of the dangerous situation to get even stronger, even though, you don't know if you'll be able to get out alive in that situation. If I wasn't there, you won't be able to escape. Maybe...maybe right now, you are completely devoured by the fire scorpion."

"Thank you." Li Wei looked away. Mu Yang's expression is sincere, making Li Wei unable to think.

"I am Mu Yang, I came from Yue Ling country. Who are you?"

"Li Wei."

"You're still poison. I will get some help." Mu Yang said and exit the cave hastily.

"Poison, huh? Brings back memories."

Flashback...

"Mother, this is the beast dungeons. Why are we here?" Asked the 12-year-old Li Wei nervously. This dungeon was a scary place. There are different beasts inside, poisonous and non-poisonous. Scary and non-scary.

"Oh, so you know of this place." The Queen smiled evilly.

"Yes, mother. It is a scary place."

The Queen opened the gate and it made a scary metallic sound. Li Wei was taken aback when the Queen pushed her inside and hurriedly close the gate.

"Mother! What are you doing?! You can't leave me here!" The corners of Li Wei's eyes brimmed with tears.

"Yes, I can, my dear. You said you'll do what I want, right? Then, stay here! I don't care if you got poison to death or devoured by them. Dead or alive, I will see tomorrow." The Queen turns to leave and the 12-year-old girl tried to grab the Queen's dress but her small hand never reach her.

"MOTHER!!!" Li Wei's scream echoed in the dungeon but no ears even heard her fearful scream. Only the beast in the underground dungeon was the only one who heard it.

"ROAR!!!"

And the rest of what happened is history...

"My Queen! We are losing her!"

"The Princess is dying!"

The priest and doctors were gathered together to save the Princess. Her small body was riddled with bruises. One of her ribcages is exposed. Her intestine came flowing out from her stomach. Li Wei's appearance looked horrifying.

"Your Majesty! What did you do?!" The General shouted in anger.

"Shut up!" The Queen raises her hand, and a ball of fire came out from her palm, directly hitting the General.

BANG!

The General was sent flying meters away and he spat out a mouthful of blood. His clothes were burned, exposing a coal and burned stomach. One of the archpriest quickly came to the General's side to treat him.

"Save the Princess now! Or Everyone of you will be the one end up dying!"

All the archpriest and doctors did their best to save the Princess. When she was healed, she was called by the Queen. For what?

To receive a slap from her majesty.

"Your majesty." Receiving the hard slap, Li Wei lowered her head and murmured the two words. Her left cheek stinging in pain.

"I thought you wouldn't dare to die."

"Your majesty..."

Li Wei said softly.

The Queen slam the armrest in annoyance. "Speak!"

"Your majesty, there are too many of them. I can't kill them all." Li Wei kneeled, her voice low and hoarse.

The Queen tsk-ed before speaking; "You're just too weak."

"Receive 50 whiplashes!"

"Mother, my body just got healed. I'm still too weak to receive that punishment."

"Then, die!"

"Your Majesty! The Princess body may be healed. She is still too weak, and we, doctors were still not able to get rid of Princess poison. Punish us on behalf of the Princess!"

The two archpriest and 3 doctors kneeled beside the Princess. The man closer to her whispered;

"Your Highness, this is all we can do for you." One of the archpriest whispered in a voice that only the Princess can hear.

"We will create a pill for you. A pill that can immune you to any poisons."
