Beauty Is A Beast

Another one week again has passed. All Li Wei and the others did was to train. Today, they were going to the Mythical Forest to find a rare plan for the Old Man Cheng.

The Lycoris or also known as the red spider lily. This is a poisonous plant but Old Man Cheng said that it can be used for concocting a potion. He said, it is super rare you can only found one in the Mythical Forest.

"Where is he going to used that plant? Tsk!" Liu Xu click his tongue as he ask annoyed.

"I read from before that even though Lycoris is poisonous the poison won't be effective if you partnered it with the red lotus. I don't know the result after. If the red lotus leaf can bring back the person in deaths door, I don't know what will happen if both plants are mix at each other." Mu Yang explain.

"I forgot that you were an alchemist. You should learn from Master together with Li Wei. I should had go with them but master don't want us too. What are they doing now?"

The group was split into two groups. The first group was Old Man Cheng, Li Wei, Feng An, Meimei, and Ye Sa. And the other one are, Liu Xu, Liu Qing, Mu Yang, Chu Lin, and Qi Shuang.

The members only have the same goal. To find the red spider lily. But never would they thought that something bad will happen later.

"There's no vicious beast here, right?" Qi Shuang asked. Her guard up and her hands tighten at her bow.

"There are. But today isn't the full moon so there aren't many strong vicious beast around." Liu Qing answered.

"That's good." Qi Shuang said in relief. Although she can defend herself, she's just a normal human being. Fighting those beast will be akin to suicide!

On the other side. Li Wei's group just finish killing off some wild boar to eat. They have been searching around the flower for almost 5 hours.

"What would you about that plant, old man?" Li Wei eats the roasted t.h.i.g.h as she ask.

"That plant, is one of the main ingredients...to bring back the dead."

Li Wei and the others abruptly stops eating. What the f.u.c.k did they just heard.

"Is that even possible?" Ye Sa looked at the elderly unbelievably. Is he crazy?

"Yes, it is only possible if the dead body hasn't been pass by 10 days. That's why many wanted to find the red lotus and the red spider lily. Since the three of you came from another world, and you from the lower land, it's no wonder that you all have no knowledge about this." Cheng Ki explain.

"It's true. When the lord of the Phoenix Clan bring back his son, Hei Feng to life 19 years ago."

"Hei Feng...is that the widely known Dark Phoenix."

Old Man Cheng turn stiff. He turn to looked at Li Wei with the expression of "How did you know?"

"My spirit beast told me about the Dragon Clan and the Phoenix Clan." Onigiri came out from his contracted space and looked smugly at the Old Man.

"You're pretty knowledgeable." Cheng Ki commented.

"He participated in the war."

"What?"

"He is a griffin."

Old Man Cheng laughed out loud. The corner of his eyes brimming with tears as he cupped his stomach from laughing.

"Him? A Griffin? He doesn't looked like one!" He said. Ye Sa and the two servants nodded in approval.

"You! I'm gonna evolve if I found the remaining remnants of my power!" Onigiri said angrily. How could these old man laugh at him!

"Ah, sure sure." Cheng Ki wipe of the tears from his eyes and stops laughing. It's true that the Griffins participated in the war. Unless this cub was badly hurt that's why he can't get to his real form.

"What is your name?" He asked seriously. The only Griffin that participated in the war are the family who had a surname of Fu. The Griffin that achieve the Sacred rank and morphe into human beings. The first beast ever recorded to achieve this rank. Thankfully, the Griffins are still very much alive. But never would Old Man Cheng thought that this is what they looked like when they weren't in their full form. They must be evolving as they grew on power.

"Fu Lin." Onigiri answered.

"Fu Lin it is." Old Man Cheng nodded.

"What an ugly name. Onigiri is still the best name for you." Li Wei roast Onigiri's name that made old man Cheng choke and Fu Lin (Onigiri) vomits blood from anger.
