“Come on! The ceremony will begin!”

As I hurriedly headed to the cathedral, I asked the maid. “When will the lord’s new work be completed?”

“Does the groom swear to love and devote himself to your bride for the rest of your life?” asked the priest.

“Does the bride swear herself to the groom for the rest of your life?”

“I swear.”

“Then, let the groom take off the bride’s veil and promise God eternal love with the vow kiss.”

A kiss between the bride and groom at the wedding was certainly not a new ritual. Even so, Clyde and I froze.
