Broken Destiny

Chapter 15 - Capitulum 13 - Forgotten Memories 4

Reincarnation does exist. But we all just have to wait to be reincarnated. People who leave this world unhappy, wishes for more than nothing else but another life. This is their mistake. We all have to be patient in order to get what we want, properly. And when we get it, we should be grateful to the Gods.

A loud crash woke Luciera from her slumber, pulling out of her dream world.

The sudden exposure to light made Luciera's vision hazy and vague.

Releasing a heavy sigh and groan, she attempts to carry her seemingly heavy body up, only to be pinned down again.

She struggles against the tight hold around her arms, still not able to see the faces of the people who pinned her down on the bed.

For what seemed like an eternity to her, her vision finally clears. And what she saw shocked her being.

These were her family's royal guards! How did they find them?

She struggled and struggled, until she felt a stinging sensation on her cheek and a painful punch on her stomach, making her insides churn.

And she blacked out.

---

Luciera wakes, finding herself in her old room in the castle. Everything seemed the same, except that there were bars on her windows.

Why is she here? How?

She tries to get up, only to find her hands were cuffed along with her one foot.

"Let me out, you bastards!" she screamed towards her door, knowing that there were guards behind it.

She screamed and screamed until she could scream no more. Her throat went dry, as her cheeks got wet with her tears.

Why had this happened to them?

Them. Then she remembered Leo.

Where is he?!

She looked around her room, only to see a body lying on her stoned, cold floor by the corner. With wide eyes, she walks toward the body, silently praying that this was not Leo.

"Leo?" she says in a hushed, quiet tone as she taps its shoulder.

A small grunt shocks her, making her step back with her hands by her hanging mouth.

No. It cannot be!

"Leo!" she cries before trying to reach for him again. Her steps were only as her foot was chained to the foot of her wooden bed.

"What have they done to you?" she silently cries, nesting his head on her t.h.i.g.h as she sat before his half-conscious body. She c.a.r.e.s.ses his hair gently, afraid to hurt him more than he already is.

Leo only answered her with a small, painful grunt as he lay on her cold, uncomfortable floor with his blood beneath him.

And Luciera could do nothing more than just to lay his head on her t.h.i.g.h, c.a.r.e.s.s his hair, and cry silently.

That entire night, Luciera waited for Leo to finally open his eyes, but he never did.

"Stay awake, Leo. Please." she whispered selfishly into his ears.
