Innate ability, which can be referred as bloodline power by many is something every cat have. Cats who were born with rare innate abilities will have their furs marked with colored symbol like Bastet's blue circle or Bluetail's blue stripes. However, this power is locked before one reached Immortail Realm as 256 soul points is the minimum points required to active and control it.

Why a cat still has his or her innate ability after reincarnation is still a mystery, but it is proven that innate ability is the result of countless combination of gene sequences. So as long as a physical body is intact and in good condition, that body can be controlled to unleased the power of the original owner.

By transferring her soul to Bluetail's body, Bastet will get his innate ability while also retaining her original. Double rare innate abilities! Imagine how strong that would be. Those people who killed her? They are so screwed. Four thousand years of waiting? So worth it for such innate ability. Bastet's eyes are sparkling and she almost drool just thinking about her soon to be power.

The dreaming Bastet suddenly wake up as a feeling of weakness washed over her.

"Somehow I have lost connection with the energy tube, what is happening outside?" As her soul is currently inside Bluetail, she does not know what is going on outside and naturally unaware of the disconnection of the slimy tube due to Bluetail's weight.

Alarmed, she looked at the speed her memory is playing on the screen and frowned: "My energy will be emptied before this is over. I need to speed this up else everything will be for naught and I will die for nothing this time."

Bluetail was furiously searching for solutions, he cannot turn off the screen, cannot reach the projector, cannot run away, cannot even sleep to forget all of this. Everything he tried did not work. As he was standing there thinking hard, his brain suddenly screamed danger as he stepped backward subconsciously. A small blue ball flashed past him, burned every whisker on the left side of his face.

Bluetail's back is drenched with sweat. He has recognized this ball, it is the same attack as the one from the senior cat in the battle earlier, he would had died right there if he did not step back. He turned his head and found the source of that attack, it was Bastet.

"Sorry darling, I have to end this earlier, something unexpected happened." Filled with killing intent, she produced another energy ball and tossed it toward Bluetail.

The ball is truly too fast, it flashed pass him and all he can managed was take half of a step back, the rest of his whisker was burned off.

Bastet does not look well though, she is paled and the third attack did not come. She seems to be out of energy.

Huh?

Out of energy?

Back then he tilted his body just a bit so it falls on the green tubes and it worked? Does this mean he can just stall for time and she will disappear or die when she ran out of energy? Chance! But for how long does he need to stall? He needs to pay attention to the memory video too.

"That energy ball of her should have used a terrifying amount of energy. The fact that she used two of them to get rid of me faster mean she will be out of energy before the memory video finished. So, I have two choices: either making her use more energy or stall for time. The question is how can I accomplice either of them?" Analyzed Bluetail.

He ultimately decided to just stall for time as her energy balls are too terrifying and he does not need to risk it as time is in his favor.

As if she can read his thought, Bastet grinned and tossed out another two balls, smaller than before but also faster. One missed and the other pierced Bluetail's left paw. "Do you think you can stall? I can just kill you right now!" She summoned another three balls as she said.

Bluetail looks desperately at the three small balls as it pierced his body and come out from the other side. The memory video still need some time left to finish.

"Damn, how can she have so much energy left? She looks clearly exhausted earlier. I need to hold on." Bluetail struggled to stand up.

To make thing worse, every energy balls Bastet fired till now rose up and with a flick of her tail, they all returned to her side and were absorbed back. "You think I am that stupid to expense even more energy when I am short of it? I can absorb back every energy ball I threw out thus spent an ineligible amount of energy just to guide them, be obedient and die ha ha ha." Said Bastet. Another three balls aimed at Bluetail.

"This is the end of me. Too bad I couldn't get a proper meal before I died for real." Bluetail closed his eyes, he knows those three balls will surely hit and he won't be able to get up after that.

The attack pierced Bluetail's head.

Bastet looks at Bluetail fall with a wide smile. "It's finally over. I can't wait to live again."

Just as Bluetail's soul is about to fade away, it stood up and a thunderous voice thundered next to Bastet ears: "WHO THE HELL WANTED TO POSSESS MY SON? HAVE YOU LEAVE YOUR DEATHWISH YET?"

Bastet froze. What is happening?

Bluetail's eyes are still closing, but he is now walking toward her.

"I am the father of this useless trash, I would not mind if he died due to his incompetence but to die by someone in higher realm? Since when Three Tails family is so easy to bully?"

Bluetail's soul raised its tail, a blue stripe then grew to become a long blue blade. It looked ordinary but gave off a deadly feeling. Bastet felt all her hair stood up and her spine chilled, she felt that she will undoubtably die if she got hit by it.

She wanted to get out of Bluetail consciousness but she hesitated: "I cannot retreat, soul transfer is one-time use, I will not be able to live again if I get out now."

"But the opponent is way above my league. Damn, I will risk it, living this way is already worse than dying." Bastet's eyes are filled with fervor as she summoned four energy balls, her current limit.

"Good, very good, you are way better than my useless son, but too bad you are not from our family, you can only blame your luck."

"DIE"

Bluetail's soul slashed with his blue blade, Bastet responds by flung all four energy balls toward him as well. A similar scene happened, all four energy balls was cut in half cleanly by the tail blade and absorbed by it. The blade continued forward and sliced Bastet in half, s.u.c.k.i.n.g all her remaining energy.

Bastet died with a bitterly smile on her lip. "So close yet so far, the heaven is unfair!"

With Bastet's dead, the pocket world lost the energy support and collapsed. Bluetail's soul got kicked out and teleported back to his physical body while remaining unconscious.

"You useless thing, I wouldn't waste my energy on you if it was not for my promise to your mother. Consider this the end between us, you are on your own now." The sound vanished after leaving the message.
