Cativation

Bluetail's soul is free falling through the hole. Even though one couldn't be killed or hurt in soul form, he couldn't help but be scared. The hole is pit black so he has lost his sense of surrounding and time, create a sensation of nothingness, where he feels minuscule, where his souls and his body aren't belong to him but only his consciousness. This is the first time he experiences this sort of sensation and couldn't have but shivering, make his hair stand on end.

Poof.

Suddenly Bluetail is on the ground, on his four legs. The surrounding is brightly lit, which blind his eyes which were already used to darkness.

''What the folk?!?!'' Bluetail couldn't help but cursed out loud. His intuition is telling him everything after the black hole was fake.

Next to him are Stone and Old Ginger. Stone is waving his four legs frantically while screaming. Old Ginger already fainted with white foam all over his mouth. He gives Stone a kick to drag him back to reality and slap Old Ginger hard to wake him up. Both look confused and fear written all over their faces. He then looked up and saw the scary hole is only 3 meters high and from here they can clear see the blue clear sky. What happened? What sorcery is this? But most importantly, where are we?

In front of them is a huge, massive maze. The trio is on a high stone platform where they can look down on the maze, but even so they still can't see the end of the maze. The maze wall is around ten meters high and made of some kind of dark stone, with ancient patterns carved onto it, they look incredibly heavy and unbreakable. Through the maze entrance, they can see a hazy and cloudy white fog, sometime there are streaks of green light flashed in the fog. Apart from this entrance, there isn't any other exit.

'' Seem like we can only exit through this maze, but do they think we can be stopped with some wall?'' Said Stone. He then charged full force, head first into a wall, fully expect to go through it to the other side. But joke on him, his head collided with the wall and produced a loud bang. His soul body was bounced back to where he was, a bruise actually appeared on his soul head.

Everyone was flabbergasted. One must know that soul form isn't like physical body, they can't be hurt or killed. Any deformation can be easily fixed since soul form is just waves of energy emitted from the brain, with enough energy waves, the brain can then construct a body made entirely of energy. Through Soul Building, Soul Tempering Stage and through every reincarnation, a cat soul is further enhanced and strengthened to the point where they can control this body made of energy wave from an absolutely unbelievable distance. They are capable of traveling in high speed, pass through wall and communicating with other soul forms. Of course there are inconvenience like it's impossible to interact with the physical world. They also can't fly because of their soul isn't strong enough at Soul Splitting Stage so the energy wave need to use earth or water as medium, they are still capable of jumps or stay off the ground for a short duration though.

But now? Their soul form is disconnected from their physical body, can't pass through wall and apparently was hurt and deformed without ability to heal. It's like their soul form has became their physical body. It's unlikely though as they can still travel in high speed. However that isn't important, What is important is why is this happened, the unknown is always the scariest and this make Bluetail uneasy.

''What do we do now?'' Asked Old Ginger.

''I don't see any other options other than going through this maze to have a chance to exit, it will be fine, I don't think Bastet would harm us, there is nothing to gain to worth this much investment.'' Said Bluetail. While he is assuring other, Bluetail himself is worried inward. It's true that there is nothing to gain to go as far as cutting their souls from their physical body then putting them in a massive maze like this, but Bastet wouldn't go as far to do all this for nothing either. The question is why? Bluetail couldn't answer this even if he doubles his brain size.

With a heavy heart and troubled mind, Bluetail, Stone and Old Ginger entered the maze with great caution.

The passage between two walls isn't wide, it was only enough for two people to walk side by side. The trio feel like they are trapped inside a stone cage of ten meters high, they feel oppressed and the wall may fall down and crushed them effortlessly. Their vision is heavily impacted by the heavy and cloudy fog, they can barely see a few meter in front of them, Old Ginger already scared shitless and talked about strange aliens suddenly popped out of the fog like in some movies. Those streaks of green light that they saw at the start are emitted some cat paw symbols on the walls, the same symbol Bluetail touched in the coffin room.

The easiest way to solve a maze is to pick a wall and follow it to the end. Which is exactly what they are doing now. The group turned left, then right, then right again and so on. They continued for a while before stopped in front of a pit. This pit isn't deep, only three meters high but filled with sharp daggers pointing upward, the dagger blades are gleaming in white light and clean spotless, it gives of a feeling of pure and untainted with blood.

'' Bastet can't believe this will stop intruders right? I can pass through this without break a sweat.'' Old Ginger was about to jump down but Bluetail held him back. Bluetail then threw down a stone he found nearby.

Nothing happened. The stone bounced off some daggers then lays there motionlessly.

''Am I over cautious?'' Bluetail wondered inward.

Old Ginger curled his lip and about to showoff his three sixty flip with a smile on his face. Soon his contempt smile turned into an ugly one.
