Cativation

As soon as Bluetail's paw is fully inserted into the hole, the sticky liquid activated. It enveloped Bluetail's paw, to the point where every thread of fur is covered. The sticky liquid then extended along Bluetail's leg to cover his whole body, if someone look from afar, he would see a cat trapped inside a huge green blob of gross, sticky and slimy matter.

Bluetail is terrified. He could not move his body at all but was conscious during the whole process. He is filled with the feeling of helpless and did not even dare to blink. A voice ran through his head :

''Cat race, male, ninth life, one-hundred soul points, three tails family, access granted.''

Bluetail's body which is covered in green slimy liquid then shrink at a visible speed and s.u.c.k.e.d into the hole.

In the other side of the stone door, two tubes are connected to where the two holes are, one is filled with green light and other is filled with green slimy liquid. The tube filled with green liquid has a small slit and suddenly something ejected from the slit. The thing grow bigger and the slimy liquid covering it was s.u.c.k.e.d back into the slit, revealed the miserable Bluetail.

''Why would they built a door if they decided to pull people in by suck a disgusting way? '' Lamented Bluetail after he managed to stand up, it feels so weird after having one body shrank.

The room he is in look the same as the coffin room in the ruin but a lot taller. In the middle of the room is a big hollowed glass ball, the two green tubes are connected to this ball, one at the top and the other at the bottom. The ball itself are filled with green slimy liquid and green light mixing together, this make Bluetail think about alien technology, where they put corpses and baby into glass tubes filled with liquid to preserve them. As Bluetail mind still wandering through movies and aliens, he saw something swimming inside the glass ball.

''Alien do not exist right ? Where is the exit ?'' Thought Bluetail while he steps back until his back is glued to the stone door.

''Nope, nope, nope, how do I nope the folk out of here ?'' Panicked Bluetail as the crystal glass moved and float toward him.

''Aren't you a daring and curious one darling ? Why didn't you come closer and see me ? '' A voice goes through his head.

''What are you ?'' Bluetail did not move an inch, he is so scared but he managed forced him self to calm down a bit, he does not know how to speak through his mind so he voiced his thought out.

By now the glass crystal is only two meters from him, he can clearly see the thing inside it. Unlike his imagination of an alien or a zombie, it is a female cat. She looks very alive and her yellow fur are brushed smooth, clean and elegant, she must has cleaned herself every day. Her eyes are also yellow but they are not bright anymore. She is smiling sweetly. Bluetail noticed that she has a big blue circle on her back.

''Oh me ? I am just a cat like you, actually, you and me will become one soon.'' Said the female cat.

''What do you mean ?'' Bluetail started sweating as he thought about soul possession in Chinese novels.

''Oh right, you have not reached Immortail Realm yet so you don't know. I will own you a favor soon so I should explain what is happening.'' She tapped her head and said.

"You should have guessed it by now, yes my name is Bastet, and you are in a world created by me. I am from Blue World family and every cat from out family have a blue circle on our back, we can create a pocket world only souls can enter."

"My physical body died four-thousands years ago but I managed to seal my soul away in my pocket world before it dissipated. However in exchange, I have entered a weakened state and most of my power was sealed. During those four-thousands years, I tried to resurrect myself by finding a suitable host and also to recover my power."

"Then I encountered a problem, I have no energy source to do all that while I need to use energy myself to maintain this pocket world. But heaven gave me a chance by sending a dying cat in front of my tomb, I used most of the rest of my power to create a soul thread to possess that corpse when he was dead. I used that corpse to pull cat souls from all over the world to this temple to become my energy supply and also looking for a suitable host." Continued Bastet.

Bluetail already has a guess at this point, and it was confirmed when he spotted Old Ginger in a corner of the room. Turn out everything was an elaborated scheme, Old Ginger must have somehow manipulated Stone owner to make him interested in Bastet Temple, which in turn influenced Stone and Bluetail himself.

"Then why did you kill Stone but not me? And what with all those trap and the maze?" Asked Bluetail.

"Impatient aren't you? You see those two green tubes? The one filled with green light is energy to power the maze and this world, the one filled with green liquid are the energy supply. The energy supply comes from cat souls that I gathered here as I mentioned. Everything in this maze is made to select the strongest of each batch, anything else are killed, their corpse are then absorbed and turned into this slimy liquid. Your friend is here too." She flicked her hand as she said that, the slimy liquid then transformed into Stone corpse and floating around the glass ball.

Bluetail can not help but feel his heart turned cold and his head is filled with terror. He does not dare to imagine what will happens to him next, maybe a sudden and painless death like Stone isn't that bad after all, at least he did not experienced such a psychology break down.

"Oh I forgot to mentioned that soul that turned into energy this way can not reincarnate anymore as it is used." Bastet lets out a sinister smile but soon turned into her sweet self.

"As for you, you are the strongest of this batch even though there was only two in your group. You are a bit too weak but I will not break my rule. You have the honor of being the host for my resurrection, however will it happen or not depend on our compatibility. Good night darling, have a sweet dream." Bastet soul walked straight through the glass ball wall and extended her paw toward Bluetail head. Their distance was less than two meters and she acted so suddenly, Bluetail did not have any time to react and Bastet swiftly entered his head.

Bluetail fainted.
