Daigi and Shion were riding the train together.

Although he mentioned going out, he hadn’t been told where they were going, so he had no idea.

For the time being, he decided to go wherever Shion wanted to go, but even on the train, when he asked where they were going, she said it was a secret and didn’t tell him.

It was getting late in the evening, so he asked if it would be okay even if they were out late.

“Today, both my dad and mom are going to be late, so it’s okay if we stay out a bit.”

She said.

Feeling reassured that he had enough time, and with the surroundings growing darker, they arrived at their destination station. They got off the train and walked a little from the station, where it seemed their intended place was located.

While walking together, Shion asked,

“Are you tired? Are you okay?”

To which Daiki replied,

“I’m not tired. Are you not tired either? By the way, where are we heading?”

Shion happily responded,

“I’m fine. We’ll be there in a little while!”

After a short walk, they arrived at their destination, and Daiki was also taken aback.

“I wanted to come here! Isn’t it beautiful?!”

The destination was the illuminated cityscape.

“Even after Christmas, they’re still doing this, huh?”

Shion replied, with a joyful expression,

“I heard they’re doing it until the end of the year, so I wanted to come and see!”

Daiki naturally smiled and said,

“I can see why you’d want to come here! I had no idea.”

Seeing Daiki’s smile, Shion felt relieved.

“I’m glad you’re happy! Shall we go over there?”

Shion grabbed Daiki’s arm and started walking.

While walking together, Daiki thought to himself,

“I’ve never gone out with a girl other than Wakaba.”

After walking a little, a delicious smell reached their noses.

Since Daiki hadn’t eaten lunch, he was starting to feel hungry. When he saw a restaurant with a tempting aroma, Shion said,

“Are you hungry? Shall we eat something?”

Although Daiki said

“It’ll make you get home late, so it’s okay,”

his stomach was indeed growling.

Then Shion said,

Daiki couldn’t resist the tempting smell either and suggested,

“Should we hurry and eat so that you won’t be late getting home?”

So they decided to have a meal and then head back. They entered a hamburger restaurant and quickly placed their orders. Since they were both hungry, the food tasted delicious.

Shion, despite her slender figure, ate heartily. Daiki was surprised by how much she could eat.

After they were full, they quickly paid the bill and decided to head home to avoid being late.

Daiki offered to pay for the meal, saying it was a thank-you for bringing him to see the illuminations, but Shion insisted on paying for herself.

However, Daiki didn’t give in and insisted on treating her.

Shion seemed apologetic throughout but said,

“Next time, let me treat you, and that will be enough.”

He nodded happily when she told him.

They boarded the train and enjoyed a pleasant conversation about their day as they headed back.

When they arrived at the nearest station, Daiki offered to walk Shion home, but she declined, saying it would be too much trouble.

“Thank you so much for today! I’m really happy! Thank you for coming with me to see the illuminations. See you at school!”

Shion waved happily and walked away.

It had been a long time since Daiki had such a fun day, so he felt very satisfied and content.
