Chapter 6: Clearing Quests

On the second day, Nocturne woke up extra early to get ready. After he ate breakfast and fed Chubby Blue, he went into the game again.

A lush scene appeared before his eyes, as though a layer of green mist shrouded dawn itself.

On the way back, he saw several wild boars wandering around and it reminded him that he had a quest to kill 10 wild boars.

“Hmm, I think I should add the attribute points first. I’ll throw everything into Strength, it’s easier to kill monsters like that. The stats will reset after a class change at Level 10 anyway.”

He grabbed his weapon and headed to the nearest wild boar.

When he got in range, the wild boar lifted up its ears and turned around to Nocturne. It locked on to him and after a few grunts, it charged over.

The two exchanged hits back and forth, Nocturne was basically trading his HP away to kill the wild boars.

It was what a newbie fight looked like.

Nocturne relied on his level and attributes to kill the wild boars. After easily killing 10 wild boars, he got three pieces of wild boar meat and two pieces of damaged leather.

The NPC’s reaction was outstanding, the chief even offered concern for Nocturne.

Nocturne then went to the restaurant and saw the owner, Thomas. Thomas was a middle-aged fat man.

“No problem.”

When Nocturne walked into the leather shop, he saw a beautiful woman wearing a leopard-patterned leather outfit. “Quest description: You’ve accepted fishing shop owner, Maxus’ request. Collect 20 long-mouth eel from the river outside the village.”

“Okay… I think I should go farm some materials to fulfill the quests first since it’s not as crowded now. If those night owls wake up, it would be a hassle trying to farm the materials.”

With that, Nocturne continued killing monsters in the simplest way. 

He started in the morning and managed to finish all his quests late in the afternoon, he even consumed all the Small Buns in his bag. 

Fortunately, he also gained a level.

He returned to the village and submitted the quest at the restaurant first.

“Hey, you’re back! How’s the meat collecting going?”

“They are all here.” Nocturne then passed all the meat to the owner.
