“Don’t lie to me. I’ve never done that before.”

“I’m sure you did.” She shook her head. “Not often, but occasionally. It happens when the changed present resonates with the future. Give some thought to it. There must be. I’ve had a few dreams myself too.”

“Really?”

“Of course.”

“What did you dream about?”

Kancia answered nonchalantly. “A dream, I guess.”

“So you’re saying you’ve dreamed about the future?”

“Very often. But those dreams are unnatural, so the lady won’t remember and forget them right away.”

I was a realistic person in the first place, so I don’t bother myself with any dream. That’s why I’ve never tried to remember any single dream I’ve had.

“From now on, record it as soon as you wake up. It’ll be forgotten in no time, but if you want to know the future, you should try at least.”

The reason why I somehow stuck to Kancia was because the word “side effect” kept bothering me.

“…what was it?”

“I don’t know my biological parents. Help me find them.”

“And how do I find them?”

“You said you couldn’t find them at that time because your crystal ball was broken. But now that you’ve turned back time, it probably hasn’t broken either.”

“Ha.” Kancia let out a sigh. “You’re really smart.”

“Yes, I’m very very smart. I’m a genius.”

“However… the crystal ball hasn’t come into my hands yet. We’re still far from the future.”

“Then how do you find that crystal ball? If I find it, can I also use it myself?”

“My lady is neither a gypsy nor a magician. You won’t be able to find it or use it.”

As I stared at her with disbelief, Kancia grabbed her chest as if she was wronged.

“Then Kancia must be someone with great powers…” I sighed and asked, “So why do you live like this?”

“Fine. Do whatever you want.”

In a different sense, she was a very consistent and confident person. If so, I didn’t intend to give any admonition to her decisions.

“Anyway, when can you find the crystal ball?”

“Then why aren’t you asking me where I live? You’ll have to come to see me if you’re going to show me, right?”

“Where do you live?”

I touched my forehead at the insincere question. I have no confidence in accepting promises from a gypsy who was insincere and who could lie well.

It was impossible to deal with people who lived like trash and had nothing to lose or want.

“It’s the Duke of Casseus. I’ll tell them in advance that if someone named Kancia comes, they’ll have to  lead you to me unconditionally.”

 I said leisurely as I looked at Kancia’s narrowed eyes.

“Come to the Duchy by then. Because me being a genius doctor is an unchangeable fact.”

“Liar!”

Kancia got annoyed.

“You’re doing this because of the crystal ball, right? Do you think I’m going to visit you? There are so many doctors in the world!”

“Yes, there are many.” I answered calmly. “But there’s only one Lise Estelle.”

Letting go of Kancia’s wrist, I folded my arms and leaned my back on the chair’s backrest as if it was fine if she decides to leave right away.

“I’ll think about treatment once you come and show me the crystal ball.”

I couldn’t stop myself roasting her, giving the taste of her own medicine.

As Kancia stared at me, she jumped up and walked out of the store. Whether or not she would come, I hummed while drinking tea.

It’s a disease caused by mana dysfunction, so she’ll have no choice but to come looking for me.

‘I wouldn’t have been so cheap if you’ve just cooperated in the first place…’

I sighed, and after a while, I noticed that my bracelet had disappeared.

I don’t know when, but she must have done it secretly.

He memorized the store name and started running to the place he had promised with Lise. Contrary to his endless worries, his body was faithfully following her instructions.
