Long Lao Er and Suanni were at the Dragon Palace.

Alongside all the Junior, Senior and Grand Elders.

The Dragon King Long Yazi and his wife the Dragon Empress Long Fuxi were also present.

All the surviving kidnapped kids had been rescued and they were also present alongside their parents.

All the invaders had been wiped out with the Ice Palace as an exception.

Right now Long Qiuniu and Long Pulao were confronting each other over their own failures.

"If I recall, elder Pulao weren't you in charge of protecting the population and tracking those humans?, Why did you fail?, Aren't you afraid of having been fooled by some Qi Condensation Realm weakling cultivators?"

Asked a mocking Long Qiuniu.

Long Pulao with a calmed expression answered back.

"I could say the same about you, elder Qiuniu. I cannot believe that some Qi Condensation Realm cultivators managed to go breakthrough your array barrier.

It's funny how they managed to embarrass a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator's array."

Replied a mocking Long Pulao.

A horrible expression appeared on Long Qiuniu.

Like always, both Long Qiuniu and Pulao loved to mock each other whenever they failed but the circ.u.mstances were so terrible because this meeting was for trying to find a culprit do whomever was found guilty would have a big price to pay.

"You dare!!" said Long Qiuniu to Long Pulao, as Long Qiuniu started circulating his Qi essence.

But before the situation escalated; the Dragon King emitted a killing intent and surpress both elders.

Both Long Qiuniu and Pulao felt a terrible pressure that made them kowtow towards the Dragon King.

Long Pulao was a Grand Elder on the Nascent Soul Realm cultivator on the eight level and Long Qiuniu was the same on the ninth level and yet they couldn't free themselves from the Dragon King's pressure.

Initially, Long Qiut thought that given time and preparation, he could take on the Dragon King himself, but he was so wrong. Their difference in power was like the difference between heaven and earth.

The Dragon King looked towards Long Pulao and asked him.

"Elder Pulao have you been able to find out how those punny humans were able to bypass everyone's spirit sense and kidnap all those kids?"

"Yes your majesty." answered Long Pulao as he stroked his white beard and continue.

"We checked their headquarters and found out that they were using pills based on yin yang roots. With those pills they were able to hide their Qi essence from us. So as long as we didn't see them directly we wouldn't be able to find them."

Said Long Pulao to the Dragon King.

"There's one thing I want to say with my majesty's permission."

Long Qiuniu interrupted Long Pulao.

"Aren't we forgetting something. Shouldn't we also punish the person responsible for the princess kidnapping."

But before anyone could say anything Long Suanni interjected on Long Lao Er's behalf and explained.

"If it's someone's fault then it's my fault father. I ordered Lao Er to help me track down the people responsible for the kidnappings."

Long Suanni continued her explanation on how the kidnappers took her and how Long Lao Er had saved her before she was about to be sullied.

"Sigh, so father if you need someone to punish, then punish me."

The Dragon King silently looked at her daughter but the one that gave the punishment was surprisingly the Dragon Queen.

"Your punishment will be for you to remain in close doors training until you at least breakthrough to at least the ninth level of the Qi Condensation Realm."

The Dragon King nodded and then directed his attention towards Long Yi and elder Long Pulao.

"Elder Pulao, though you failed at the begging to protect the people for that I would normally demote you but since you delivered at the end; your punishment will be to apologise and compensate the families of that lost someone because of

the kidnappings."

"Yes your majesty, your orders are my command." answered back Long Pulao.

"Elder Long Yi, I congratulate you for your achievements not only were you able to rescue the kidnapped kids and wipe out the Demonic Blood Gang but you also defend our realm from the invading forces and set up an example to all cheeky cultivators who in the future may want to hurt my subjects."

Said the Dragon King to the proud Long Yi.

"And I want to commend you, young Long Lao Er who despite his limitations had the courage to rescue my only daughter and helped track those bastards, for that I'll reward you with an art manual from the inner palace. My dear Fuxi I know you're her master, so help him pick the right manual."

Said the Dragon King to his wife and Long Lao Er. Then the Dragon King looked back again at Long Yi and told him.

"Also elder Yi, you just recently broke through from the tenth level of the Core Formation Realm to the First level of the Nascent Soul Realm.

In just 6 years you went from the Qi Foundation Establishment Realm to the Nascent Soul Realm.

You're a genius amongst geniuses. That's why as now I am demoting Long Qiuniu from Grand Elder to Senior Elder and I am promoting Long Yi from Senior Elder to Grand Elder!!"

Loudly exclaimed the Dragon King.

This didn't send well with Long Qiuniu. The Dragon King had removed his killing intent so Long Qiuniu managed to circulate his Qi essence as he loudly complain.

"You can't do that brother. It's true that I failed you but I am still the only one that can fix our barrier and also I am more powerful than elder Yi."

Angered by Long Qiuniu's complain, the Dragon King circulated his Qi essence and unleashed a wave of Qi essence which send Long Qiuniu flying away.

"Now that this has been settled, elder Yi as a new Grand Elder your main responsibility will be to manage the array that creates the barrier which protects our realm."

"Your orders are my command!" loudly answered Long Yi.

Later on Long Qiuniu's chambers inside his courtyard.

The same junior elder that had murdered Yu Jiangshi had appeared in front of Long Qiuniu.

"My lord, I was able to fool everyone and retrieve all the dragon cores just as you ordered."

The junior elder gave Long Qiuniu the cores and went away.

A silent Long Qiuniu was wantonly staring at the cores. For many months he had been planning this affair. He would get a group of human cultivators to enter the Dragon Realm and kidnap kids with low cultivation level.

By giving those humans the treasure needed to poke an spatial hole into the Dragon Realm, exactly on the place where Long Qiuniu would weaken the protection array, the human cultivators would smuggled into the Dragon Realm.

Once in the Dragon Realm, using guerrilla warfare tactics and yin yang roots pill; the human cultivators would kidnap at least 99 kids for their cores and go back once they were done.

As a side effect other human cultivators tried to also attack the Dragon Realm, but that was within Long Qiuniu's expectations as he knew that no human cultivator would be match against a dragon cultivator.

Long Qiuniu didn't care to much that the Dragon Princess had been kidnapped or that Long Pulao's group had taken the credit for successfully solving this problem or that he had been demoted.

What Long Qiuniu only cared was that he had safely gotten 99 Dragon Cores from pure kids with low level cultivation.

With this cores, Long Qiuniu would go into seclusion. Using an old secret manual he had aquired from a mysterious cultivator not to long ago; Long Qiuniu would be able to call the heavenly lighting and jump from the ninth level to the tenth level of the Nascent Soul Realm.

Long Qiuniu then would he take revenge upon his brother.
