Fate's Reversal: The Divines Return

As the «Palace of Shadows» crumbled behind him, Kaiden entered the portal and closed the notifications. However, he remained curious as to when he critically damaged Erebus. 'Didn't he escape before Kroxus' last strike? Nevermind that, I'll have my answer later.'

Exiting from the portal, Kaiden's appearance began returning to normal as if nothing ever happened. However, the telltale sign was his extremely pale appearance. A few system notifications sounded notifying him of his current situation.

[System: In order to heal your Soul Temple and Vital Core, you'll need to find a remedy of at least the Legendary grade. Due to the presence of a Mythical Soul in your Soul Temple, it has suffered damages that only certain items can reverse.]

"Ah, it doesn't give me any information nor has my stats changed. I'm guessing this has something to do with the physique then. However…" taking a look around him, Kaiden was utterly shocked by the changes. If the system didn't tell him. Then he wouldn't believe what he returned to was the Crescent Wake Town. 

"Why is the population so high?" he muttered while venturing through the town streets. Although it gave the same vibe as before, it also felt entirely different. The streets were unusually crowded.

However, what Kaiden didn't know was that word was spreading like wildfire about the Sanctoria World becoming increasingly fun. «World's Destiny: Redemption» had recently received an extra influx of users. Regrettably for them, they had just missed out on a highly rewarding event.

At the same time, multiple announcements sounded as Kaiden continued in the direction of the Lunar Essence Mansion Gates. It seemed that everyone who returned arrived within the Town Square of their respective areas.

Before he was able to do anything else, Snow Bunny's face appeared before him slightly startling him.

"D-Did you make it back safely?! Oh, it should seem so," nodded Snow Bunny before continuing while also completely curious, "What was that back there?"

"Err, in short, it was a past teacher taking over my body. It wasn't me honestly. I'm not capable of doing such things. As you saw, those strikes were beyond what we can currently comprehend. Especially that last one, it felt as if it was capable of destroying everything. However, according to my teacher, it's an incomplete technique. It would seem it lacked a certain something," replied Kaiden before all the notifications he experienced vanished. 

In its stead, a large screen appeared before Kaiden as SIGMA's voice sounded, interrupting both Kaiden and Snow Bunny's conversation. 

「Sanctoria World System Announcement:

Although the beginning was rough, you all have done well to complete the event. As a result, you guys have bought yourself much more time. After all, your earlier actions were not without cause. Nevertheless, this message is simply to distribute the rewards to those of you who left early as well as those of you who completed the optional objective. In truth, it was the latter which has truly brought you more time. Without further delay, continue to grow and in the meantime, take your rewards.」

A long wall of notifications appeared before Kaiden slightly overwhelming him. However, his attention remained on the two odd messages he received. 

'Sole contributor? Interesting. The fact it went so far as to indicate I've received "all" of the rewards. Does this mean everyone present didn't receive the complete reward? Now that I think about it, that may be true. After all, too many Legendary Treasure Chest in circulation can damage the balance whereas introducing everyone to the main quest is impossible. Everyone can't complete the same main quest,' thought Kaiden before continuing to silently ponder.

'As for this special reward… what is- oh my! It's just what I need!'

Within his grasp was a small vial containing one or two drops of liquid. It was a vibrant green color. As for the information, it was such:

「Item Name: Worldly Quintessence - Provenance Lifeblood

Type: Consumable

Information: The Worldly Quintessence is something that seldom appears. It can't be sought and only appear during the creation of a new world. It's an item of the myths as it is said to not exist. However, it is said to pale in comparison to abilities bestowed from the lifeblood of Yggdrasil the Undying World Tree.

Usage: Ingesting the Provenance Lifeblood will heal all injuries under the Mythical Level. However, after using, another ingestion isn't allowed for a year. This is the period of activity. In other words, ingesting it while it is still active inside your body will render it useless. In addition to healing injuries, it also possesses other hidden effects. However, certain things are needed to facilitate it.

'If it heals all injuries then it should be able to remedy my current state. Except...what could these hidden effects possibly be? I'd be lying if I say I'm not both curious and apprehensive. I'll have to explore this more closely. Not to mention, Yggdrasil? It goes without saying my knowledge of this world is spotty at best. Actually… come to think of it, I have yet to explore outside of the leveling fields. What lies beyond? It's time I change that,' thought Kaiden as he stowed away his special items.

"Did you get your rewards? I got a Legendary Treasure Chest, darling! Only… this thing is kind of well… Why does it require so much Strength to open? Hmm?" grimacing at the fact that a Legendary Treasure Chest couldn't be opened currently, Snow Bunny gazed back toward Kaiden while continuing the conversation.

"Just take it as, they're items which aren't supposed to appear at this moment. After all, if it was so I'm afraid certain advantages will present themselves. Additionally, it wouldn't just be an advantage over other users. If I'm not mistaken, we'll have a run-in with forces of this world based on some of its history and current state," informed Kaiden while pressing his hand against the gates of the Lunar Essence Mansion.

"That's true. You're right. Uhm, are you logging out anytime soon? I-I err… really want to see you," towards the end Snow Bunny's cheeks flushed as he coquettishly played with her fingers as her mind traveled.

"Yeah, it's been over 2 weeks in reality since we've logged out. We'll need to check the state of our body. While it isn't an extremely long time, we've only just begun our road to cultivation. We have to remain mindful," commented Kaiden while entering the Guild Residence. Widening his eyes, he remained shocked by the change. 

'It seems the Guild is infinitely close to Lv.4? But how is that the case? The majority of my members were present with me. Could something have changed in my absence? I'll have to ask Tyler,' inwardly thought Kaiden as he glanced over the new faces as well as the new faces. 

"Kassy, I'll see you later. Let me take care of a few things before I reach out to you," calmly smiled Kaiden as he proceeded toward the Training Area in search of someone.

"Okay, I'll call you again later," conceded Snow Bunny as she ended the call. Meanwhile, Kaiden glanced at his character screen with irregular thoughts, 'During this entire time, my character level has been a rollercoaster. However, it's ultimately settled at what it is now—Lv.51'.

Arriving at the Training Area, Kaiden placed his hands on the back of Kriishna inspecting the state of his previously damaged body. It was partly his fault Kriishna was in the state so it was needless to say he showed him tendercare, at the same time he contemplated things, 'He's originally of the Mythical Grade, however, Kairo said his potential was partly unawakened. So, it's worth it.'

"Kriishna, I've found an item that'll be able to heal you. You won't need to waste your time stimulating your healing process."

"Oh! My Lord," bowed Kriishna before continuing, "You don't need to go to such lengths. If it's capable of healing me then heal yourself with it. After all, I can tell your damage is much worse than mine. More importantly, you're my lord. Therefore, your well being comes first."

"Save it and open your mouth. I already have something to deal with myself," commanded Kaiden in an unmoving tone as his aura turned stern.

Frowning, Kriishna obliged, "Yes, My Lord."

Retrieving the Provenance Lifeblood, Kaiden dropped a bead of liquid on Kriishna's tongue. Evidently, he was familiar with such an item as his eyes widened in shock. A Mythical item was something which appeared along with some ancient beings. Not to mention, healing products were an even rarer commodity as it required the most extreme of beneficial environments.

"My Lord! This…"

Shaking his head, Kaiden cut his words short. He understood what he was trying to say, so he immediately thwarted his words, "You're worth it, Kriishna. Now let it heal you," he remarked while patting his shoulder and leaving.

Meanwhile, Kriishna's expression relaxed as the healing aura within him strengthened with each passing instant. At the same time, his gaze grew increasingly sharp and focused as his sights remained on Kaiden's retreating back, mumbling, "My Lord...you can also rely upon from now on. I swear to you, I will accomplish it."

For a moment, his eyes gleamed a radiant gold before calming down.
