“Maybe he’s not like what others say he’s like?” Wen Ran retorted with a frown on her face.

“Even if he isn’t as impotent as the others say he is, have you ever thought about why he married you? Wen Ran, don’t tell me that you don’t know that he’s Mo Zixuan’s half-brother.”

Bai Xiaoxiao was just concerned for her friend. After all, Wen Ran was like a sister to her. She had suffered so much. She didn’t want her anymore pain.

“Xiao Xiao, I have some other matter to attend to. I’ll call you back later.”

When Wen Ran inadvertently caught sight of Mo Zixuan coming out of the car, the expression in her eyes changed. She hung up the phone without giving Bai Xiaoxiao a chance to speak any further.

Upon seeing him walking towards her quickly, she was annoyed. Why on earth was he being such a stalker?

“Ranran, follow me into the car, and we’ll discuss things clearly.”

With her escaping from him in the morning, Mo Zixuan grabbed her and didn’t give her a chance to run away this time. He turned around and dragged her away.

Wen Ran was a step slower, so she was unable to avoid him. He dragged her to the side of the road. She furiously used her bag to beat him angrily while demanding, “Mo Zixuan, you let me go this instant!”

“I will not let you go,” Mo Zixuan said firmly. He wouldn’t let her go. Even though he had slept with some other women, the person he truly loved was still her. He felt that she should forgive him.

Moreover, he was set up by someone. That night, if it weren’t for the fact that he was drugged, he definitely would not have slept with Zhou Lin.

“Let her go!”

A low and cold roar was heard out of the blue. Mo Zixuan turned around in shock, only to see Mo Xiuchen stepping forward from the black Aston parked beside the road. With a cold expression, he grabbed Mo Zixuan’s arm, and his other hand pulled Wen Ran away.

Mo Xiuchen suddenly came that Mo Zixuan didn’t have time to escape him at all. His arm felt the pain from being pinched. As soon as he loosened his hand, Wen Ran was snatched away.

“Mo Xiuchen!”

Wishing he could kill him, Mo Zixuan glared at Mo Xiuchen.

Ignoring the hateful expression on his face, Mo Xiuchen warned him, “I don’t care what your relationship was with her before. From now on, she will be your sister-in-law. Don’t let me see the scene that happened just now ever again!”

With that said, his cold eyes swept across his arm, seemingly to imply that the next time it happened, his arm would be broken.

Wen Ran’s face turned pale, and her body stiffened a little.

The veins on Mo Zixuan’s forehead bulged, and his eyes were fixed on Mo Xiuchen. His anger overwhelmed his fear. “Don’t think I don’t know that you set me up, Mo Xiuchen. You despicable villain! Even though she might be married to you, the person she loves is still me!”

Disdainful of his accusation, Mo Xiuchen snorted. Turning around, he pulled Wen Ran into the car. It seemed like he was deliberately angering Mo Zixuan. He opened the passenger’s car door for Wen Ran in a gentlemanly manner, watched her get into the car, then walked around the car and sat at the driver’s seat.

Watching the black Aston drive away, Mo Zixuan clenched his fists, then gritted his teeth, and vowed that he would take Wen Ran back.

The Aston drove at a steady speed.

Inside the enclosed compartment, the atmosphere was tense and awkward.

As Wen Ran breathed through her nose, she got a whiff of the masculine and refreshing scent of the man beside her. Her heartbeat was inexplicably irregular.

After getting in the car, he didn’t say a single word. His handsome face appeared cold, his facial features were stiff, and the aura he was exuding reminded her that he was angry.

Wen Ran’s slender fingers gripped the strap of her bag tightly. After some thinking, she looked up at his perfect side profile and tried to make small talk.

“Weren’t you on a business trip? Why did you come back so suddenly?”

Mo Xiuchen’s bony hands grasped the steering wheel and his eyes scanned the rearview mirror, then he answered coldly, “I sent someone else instead.”

His thin lips were tightly pursed into a cold straight line. If he hadn’t come back, would she have gotten in Mo Zixuan’s car?
