Fortune Of Lifetimes

"AHHHHHHHH, WHAT THE F.U.C.K IS THIS!" Ren was currently tearing his hair out in frustration over this strange black hole in his dantian. Searching through all of his memories he couldn't seem to find even a shred of evidence about what it could be.

Weeks of trying different things and none seemed to work, the first thing he tried to do was remove it but it didn't feel tangible after trying to probe his consciousness into the black hole he suffered a serious backlash knocking him unconscious for a couple of days scaring Damon and Matt enough to go over and beg Luanne for some help.

As soon as she arrived Ren had already awoken, thanking her by giving her some tips about her refining method she left, thinking that perhaps she should have known that Ren would be fine, after all, why would his master leave him to his death or injury without healing Ren himself?

Now that he had awoken he became worried after all something that directly caused him damage being inside of him stealing almost all the qi he absorbs and not knowing what it was he couldn't help but feel fearful.

Clearing his mind and calming down Ren started to think about what he could, "removing it isn't possible, wait I almost forgot about the miniature world I obtained perhaps it could do something to the black hole"

Getting his storage ring he removed the mini world, after getting it in his hand he started to absorb it into his dantian after 5 hours it was finally stored. Quickly checking his dantian Ren almost relaxed until he saw the black hole start to change shocking him.

Forming ideas about what he could do if worst came to worst Ren thought about severing his own dantian to preserve his life, although he wouldn't be able to cultivate again unless he could obtain a utmost treasure it was better than dying, he could even train some young geniuses to hunt for items so he could try to create a puppet to seal his soul into to live longer.

Getting ready to destroy his own future Ren saw something extremely familiar to him, something that somewhat relived him slightly. A silhouette of the stone tablet that gave him all these memories started to form slightly on the miniature world from the black hole.

"What on earth is this thing it could even put itself into my dantian when i hadn't even started cultivating and it was absorbing all the qi i obtained," an idea suddenly popped into Ren's mind "could it have been trying to form something to support it and the miniature world just happened to be something it could use?"

Before he could think of some other theories his jaw almost hit the ground the world started to recover back from a rock-like object into a shining one. It had entered a state of suspended animation to stop its destruction this was something Ren was aware of and he thought that although he would have to obtain a higher cultivation and nourish it for a long time so it could recover what he hadn't anticipated was that it would suddenly recover within a short moment.

Probing his consciousness into the world he was amazed, although he had already figured this part out what shocked Ren was that this world had tons of spirit herbs in it, in fact, it even had thousands of saint herbs and at the core of it there was a god herb that seemed to be absorbing the essence of the saint herbs.

Checking through his memories he finally found out what it was called, Heavens Gem. It was an item that formed a Gem before it died depending on what it used to grow, seeing that it had only just sprouted he checked its 5 petals, seeing that they where bluer than any other colour he checked the saint herbs around him seeing that there was an abundance of water type ones he started to move the herbs around so that there was a balance of the elements.

Although it was a god herb, it should be used as a material for forging a weapon after it m.a.t.u.r.ed instead of consuming it early for the elemental energy it absorbs. When the flower finally m.a.t.u.r.ed it would start to form a gem using all of the elemental essence it had absorbed. It looked like either the person who used to own this world had a water type spirit root or he just didn't know what kind of treasure he had obtained.

If one was to use the gem as the main item for a sword he could create a sword that could use the elements that the gem was formed from, having a 5 elemental spirit root Ren would be able to use all 5 elements effectively although it would mean that he wouldn't be able to exert an extremely strong singular element, he could use it more tactically deploying more than one element at a time or combining them.

Thinking about it Ren realised that there might not be enough saint herbs here for it to m.a.t.u.r.e a strong gem he started to make sure the herb would absorb all the essence of the spirit herbs first and then start to absorb the saint herbs afterwards although this would slow down how quickly it would take to m.a.t.u.r.e it could give him some time to obtain more saint herbs now he knew that he had to obtain as many saint herbs as he could no matter what.

After coming out of the mini world he was about to go back to cultivating until he remembered the problem that plagued him, the stone tablet, such a mystical item that could even give him memories of his past lives and store itself into his own dantian. "Shall i probe it again... but last time it caused me to be knocked out... what shall i do..."

Realising there was nothing to do other than be vigilant and ready to sacrifice his future for survival he started to cultivate, after just a single moment he was ecstatic "I'm getting most of the qi could it be that now its materialised and has a place to use it doesn't need all the qi although its still absorbing some it's barely even 20% of the qi I absorb at least I can finally progress in my cultivation swiftly now.

Just as he was about to start cultivating madly he decided he might as well check Damon's spirit roots, if he would let him.

Going into Damon's room Ren sat him down and started to talk to him seriously, "Damon, first off I'm going to tell you something that you should remember for the rest of your life. Never let anyone you don't trust check your spirit roots, if you have to be very vigilant as if someone can check them they will also be able to damage them stopping you from ever cultivating and potentially killing you. Now that i have started cultivating I thought I would ask you if you wanted to but first i would check your spirit roots to see what cultivation method to give you,"

"Brother Ren I trust you so check my spirit roots, oh god I'm excited to start cultivating,"

Damon said excitedly.

Checking his spirit roots Ren was a little envious but also happy for his Brother, he had a spiritual body spirit root, Such a spirit root would start to nourish the physical body when one cultivated removing the need to temper your own body in fact people with the spiritual body almost always ended up having countless people rushing to recruit them into their sects and families, by marriage or any means necessary because they where destined to become grand and strong figures in the cultivation world.

What would take a normal cultivator a year to achieve by tempering their body they could do in half the time and that was subconsciously, they didn't even have to stop cultivating to temper the body.

"Brother you have hit the jackpot, let me tell you now if you wanted you could announce your spirit roots and every sect in the world would try to recruit you. You have the spiritual body spirit roots," Telling him what it does and explaining the benefits Damon became giddy with excitement.

"The technique that I will teach you is called the Metal body, it causes the speed at which your physical body strengthens to be even faster, although it will slow down your cultivation slightly your defence will be almost unbreakable, even for people stronger than you and it causes your wounds to recover a lot faster as well"

Teaching Damon the cultivation technique the foundation he had been laying beforehand started to kick in and Damon quickly absorbed the qi in the air forming a whirlpool. Perhaps he has just created a cultivation machine.
