Just a few months later on Damons 10th birthday, Ren bought one of the rarest spirit beasts using qi stones as it was one of the most delicious spirit beasts that were easy to kill, it would be hard to obtain so naturally the cost started to rise. He cooked a full meal for everyone even using the bones of the animal to make a soup so none was wasted. Planning to give Damon a task to complete so that he could temper himself Ren decided to treat him tonight.

"Wow brother Ren your meals are always the tastiest, even Tristan's meals aren't as good," stuffing his face Damon could stop eating the food prepared by Ren.

"Haha, because it's your birthday I thought I should treat you to a meal. Damon whats your cultivation at now? it should be close to qi gathering 8."

Once you've done that you should have a better grasp over fighting against beasts it should also help temper your body and also improve your control over your qi. After some months Damon had learnt a lot from Ren including how to build shelter, items that are useful when exploring the world and multiple herbs fruits and the effects they have as well as a numerous amount of beasts even saint beasts. Preparing himself he stored everything he needed into his new spacial ring and listening to Ren's advice he covered the ring with copper so it wouldn't look like one so people wouldn't attack him in greed, Ren also told him to strap the dagger to his leg so that he would still have it on him even if he had the ring stolen or he was in a situation where he couldn't get stuff from the ring. Leaving the city in the morning Damon set off on his tempering mission set by his brother.

"Matt, when does the academy start recruiting? Also, I heard that they hold a yearly competition with great rewards, is that true?"

"Young master, could it be you're planning on enroling into the academy? Well, I think that the recruitment starts in 6 months time and I'll do my best to find out more information about the rewards"

"Yes I'm planning to enter the academy with Damon purely for the rewards of the competition I'm also hoping that there will be enough combat for us to gain some experience"
