Huo Minyong's face turned ashen white when he heard something that he wished he hadn't heard.

Di Tianluo and the other clans are planning to overthrow the Tong royal family to establish a new dynasty. That meant there would be a bloodbath very soon, and any clans would not be safe from it.

'C-Crazy… the 6 powerful clans are drunk on power and even dared to plot against his majesty.' Huo Minyong thought.

No matter how much he was against this idea, he needed to pretend to be on the side of the rebels for now if he wanted him and his clan to live.

After all, Huo Ning was beside him alongside the other members of the Huo Clan.

He cupped his fist and stuttered, "I-I will do my best to find them. Those two would definitely come to our Huo Clan soon if they want to sell off their items."

Di Tianluo nodded his head.

"I'm glad that you have chosen wisely, Elder Huo Minyong." He flashed a gentle smile.

Just when Huo Minyong thought he had escaped death, Di Tianluo suddenly retrieved a worm-looking insect from his sleeve and slammed it into Huo Minyong's chest.

BAM!

Huo Minyong collapsed to the ground after the sudden assault as he glared at Di Tianluo.

"What did you just do to me?" He roared. "Didn't I agree to assist you? Why did you still attack me?"

"Relax yourself, Elder Huo Minyong. I just merely implanted a Gu Worm on your chest as a safety measure." Di Tianluo kindly explained.

"Our 6 powerful clans have been planning this for a long time, so how could we allow someone to go and risk having the chance of them informing our plan to  his majesty?"

Huo Minyong could only clench his fist in anger before asking if they could leave.

Di Tianluo granted his request and allowed them to walk away. After all, with the Gu Worm on his body, Di Tianluo was sure that he wouldn't do something stupid.

Once he was done with this task, the other elders belonging to the 6 powerful clans had managed to threaten the other second-rate clan to join in their cahoot.

"Hmph, once we overthrow the emperor, I'll make sure to trample the mountainside of those two cultivators." Di Tianluo swore in anger. He would not let his humiliation go by without taking revenge.

So what if he cured Di Qiaowei's broken meridian?

He could just capture them and force them to teach them the technique of healing broken meridians. It was killing two birds with one stone.

While Di Tianluo cooked up some wicked plot, Jiang Ming and Yang Liqin had arrived home through the teleportation array.

"Phew, home at last." Jiang Ming exclaimed happily as he threw himself at the comfortable couch. "I hate going on expeditions and having to constantly fight monsters."

"You say that, yet you have forgotten about requesting me to let you go on an expedition in the past." Yang Liqin took off her mask and snorted coldly.

"Who was the one that made me almost have a panic attack by wanting to go to the dangerous Haze Forest?"

Jiang Ming was stupefied when she suddenly brought that incident back up.

"Did you really have to say that?" He asked.

Yang Liqin shrugged her shoulders. She took a seat next to him and whispered, "If you dare to request that kind of thing again, then I will not forgive you. Do you understand?"

Jiang Ming nodded his head vigorously. How could he still dare to ditch her when she is extremely fearless.

"Oh right… Where did your Kractacle go?" Jiang Ming asked when he recalled her contracting a magical beast.

"He currently resides in the soul-house, a special place for a contracted cultivator with a magical beast. It's similar to a spatial ring, but a much more efficient one." She explained.

"I see how it is. That means you have a hidden trump card on your sleeve at all times." He said sinisterly. "Those who wanted to harm my aunt would surely suffer a disastrous consequence~"

"Tch, you're getting real cheeky with your aunt right now." Yang Liqin's eyes turned fierce as she pinched and twisted his ear. She didn't hold back her strength, so Jiang Ming felt like his ear was being ripped apart.

"Ow ow ow, forgive me, aunt." Jiang Ming cried pitifully. His ear was nearly turning red from the twisting, and Yang Liqin seemed to be adamant about punishing him.

"Hmph, don't think I'll forget about the part where you selfishly decided to enter the testament of will alone. Did you know how frightened I felt when your soul went in?"

It was only after hearing her words did Jiang Ming finally realize something.

His aunt, Yang Liqin was an extremely petty person that remembers every grudge and action.

'My poor ear, endure the pain at all cost. Otherwise, we would suffer even more.' He prayed silently, hoping that her anger would reduce as time passed.

Sometime later, Yang Liqin released her grasp on his ear and shoved him aside.

"Anyway, shouldn't you be explaining about this house spirit that had been residing in our house already?" She asked abruptly, causing Jiang Ming to be shocked.

How did she figure out the presence of Xue Daiyu?

Jiang Ming was positive that her presence had only been known by him. And the fact that Yang Liqin was clueless about her presence despite their first meeting was enough evidence.

Meanwhile, Yang Liqin seemed to understand his thought process as she snapped her finger, entrapping Xue Daiyu who had been eavesdropping from the side.

Xue Daiyu's spirit-like appearance was trapped in a cage whereas Yang Liqin casually brought her to the front using spiritual qi.

"Ever since the Blood Curse disappeared from my body, I have been slowly recovering my cultivation base. Thus, I can subtly feel the aura of this house spirit when you were out exploring with Yuan Chunhua." She casually explained.
