Saving a Friend's life

As they are planning to do something drastic it's now a very serious situation. I thought, 'It seems that the negotiations are not coming up too well. So it has come now to a do or die situation. I have no interest in being a hero but I have to do it'. As I was thinking about what to do and making plans, I noticed that I can't do it alone because there are many situations where multiple people are needed but I can't openly ask because if the guard heard hears it we all will die and it will be on me.

I saw around myself and found that 5 of my friends are sitting very close by. I thought that this is the optimum number, not too much to create disturbance and not too little to have a problem in carrying out the mission. I then went up to them and said, "Hey guys I am about to say something serious so please do not make any kind of sound or face" I then waited for them to settle down and then said, "The Terrorists are planning something drastic, I heard them saying something about bomb, It must be nothing but I don't know I got a bad feeling about it. I have a plan but I need your help".

Ashutosh- From their movement, it seems they are indeed doing something but what can we do. We are normal students with no normal experience in these manners.

Avinash- Yeah Ashutosh is right about no combat experience.

Pawan- I don't want to agree with him since he took my crush and asked her out first but the situation is serious it seems I will have to agree.

Himanshu- Yeah Ashuhtosh is right but what will we do if they blow us away in bombs after negotiating away with government.

Chandu- I agree with you Adarsh but what will we do and why we only. If we fail we will surely die.

Adarsh- Yeah Chandu you are right but what will happen if they blow away the bomb as you know these crazy groups of terrorists have killed countless people so to kill is a no big deal to them. We will all die and in this case, we might have had a chance to live. Guys its do or die now say what will you do?

After thinking about it they agreed. Then I started to say my plan, "From what I have heard there are about 40-50 in the terrorist group. And they are placed in Room-B1 and B3 surrounding the auditorium. There are about 3 people in the balcony as snipers, 4 people here to guard the auditorium. From what I have heard and estimated there are about 10-15 in room B1 where they relax and about 20 people in room B3 where they make their strategic decision. And when 1 person goes to the toilet there is a guard going with him/her", I waited for them to digest the information then said, "Till now is the info that I got and now the plan is like this-

1- I will go to the toilet and one of the guards will go with me. There I will blitz attack him in any chance or die trying. Saying this I showed them the Swiss Knife I have secretly.

2- Then there is a secret way up to the top floor where there are 3 people acting as snipers. One good thing is that they are far away and they can't see each other. SO I will try to kill them as fast as possible. We don't want to make any disturbances so I will try to make it under 10 minutes.

3- While this is going on I want all of you to go near the three remaining terrorists, so when I came their attention will be towards me and you will make use of this chance to attack them will all your force. When he is down using this chance to kill him permanently. I know you can't do it alone as you have no weapons so what you guys will do is that gather few more trusted people who will not make any disturbance and gather them near you. So it will be easier to kill them silently. One benefit is that the soundproofing of the auditorium. And when they are dead close the doors and control the crowd or they will fail our plan and we all will die.

4- After that, some of you will gather the benches and chairs and silently stack them in front of B3 where most of the terrorists are. Don't underestimate them and place as many tables as they won't be able to open even if they throw the grenades.

5- As you guys completed this task I will take all their hand grenades as I see each is carrying about 3-4 of them. I will open the B1 door and suddenly throw as much as grenade possible with Ashutosh. After the explosion, we both will go and kill the remaining of the terrorist alive.

6- Then we will take all the dead terrorists weapons and grenades and wait for the guys in B3 to come out after using grenades and bullets. You guys along with some other stand infront of the door and kill whoever comes out of the door. And I will go to the backside if they do something unexpected. Once the attack started I will join you guys".

They took about 5 minutes to take in all the information then Ashutosh said, "You know you talked a lot about killing. We are killing humans and how can you be so calm".

After that others also said similar things, then I smiled at them and said, "It is because I don't consider them as human. They r.a.p.ed the poor girl like a beast and killed her. They kill all those students, teachers and guards just for fun. Where is the unity and now its a do or die situation. Now is not the time to think all about it and if you are uncomfortable to forget I asked anything. I will rather die trying than be a sitting duck only to be blown away by those bastard's bomb".

After that, they all agreed my reasoning and Himanshu said, "You are taking the most risk so be careful". Then Ashutosh said, "Don't die on me you are like a brother to me". I just smiled and said," Don't worry we will kill all those bastards and then you can enjoy yourself with your new girlfriend". He then blushed a little to which we all just smiled.

After that, the mood seemed to become a little bit bitter but I put up a serious face and said, " It's 6:30 Pm and we will start at 7:10 according to the big clock. SO be ready". They didn't say anything but their eyes were buried with newfound determination. They then went towards to talk with other people and gradually started to move towards the four guards. The guards noticed them but didn't say anything as they don't put common student's onto their eyes.

At 7:10 I asked a guard for the toilet, then a guard went with me. The guard didn't notice anything but was a little irritated as he was the only one going away with students. I went to the washroom and peed for 1 minute then washed my hands then started to move. The guard was ahead of me and his back was towards me. I thought that it is the best chance, then took my knife and stabbed in his neck from the back. He was surprised then started to make noise.

But before he could do anything I put a hand in his mouth and slit his throat. Then I quickly pulled him towards one of the cubicles so nobody notices until our plan was over. I pulled him and went to a cubicle. Just as I was about to put him in I heard the sound of flush from near the end cubicle of the washroom. I panicked a little but managed to calm down. I put down the guy that I was carrying and pulled my Knife. Just as that guy came out he met with my knife slash towards his throat. Before he could do anything I again stabbed him in the heart. After some time I put both of these guys in the cubicle and closed the door.

It was my first time killing someone, I was feeling uneasy but then quickly managed to calm my mind. Then I noticed 3 minutes must have passed. Then I quickly went to the top floor silently through the staircase. It was my luck that the guy I killed was guarding the staircase. Then I quickly moved towards the other two. As they never expected, somebody to attack from behind and they were checking any enemy movement from outside. I quickly killed them by slicing their throat. Then I thought to myself, 'Aren't I becoming more and more like an assassin'. But then quickly threw that thought away.

Now that I have done phase2 of my plan. I was hoping that they will pull their plan but to be safe. I will come and quickly move towards the one near the other door. (as auditorium has two doors on both sides). Then on the remaining time, I went and put on the clothes of one of the terrorists whose build was similar to me and put all the guns and grenades.

Then I went towards the auditorium 2nd door and pushed the door with a little bit more force. All the terrorists were watching who came and made a scene. I suddenly came and ran towards the guy near me and slashed his throat and stabbed his heart. At the exact time, all my friends started tye operation and kill them. Phase3 also completed. We quickly went up to the stage and briefly explained the plan to them and what they have to do.

There were a lot of scared people but we said them to wait or help in phase 4, then they are free to go as they will be watching the CCTV near the gate to check the movement of police. Then withing 3-4 minute Phase 4 was successful. Then in no time me, Ashutosh and Himanshu went up to B1, I will open the door and both of them throw hand grenade as quickly possible. I opened the door slightly and they started throwing the grenade. Ashutosh was quite mad by the **** of the girl as he was thinking what would he have done if that happens yo his girlfriend Sarah.

After noticing two of the terrorist tried to move out only to die under my gun. After then the explosion happened. Phase 5 completed. But then all the terrorists in room B1 noticed and tried to open the door but it was locked and a mountain of tables were intricately arranged to make the door locked. Then I looked at the other people and said, " All of you go out and tell the police about it". They nodded and went away. I and my friends took all the guns from the dead terrorist and pointed towards the gun. As the door opened we started shooting. We have no experience but we don't need any as we only have to his the door to not to let them out.

As they were closed in the room, I started to went to another side to check everything is okay. In the meantime, Ashutosh and Chandu were throwing hand grenades like baseball. We don't know how to reload properly. So we placed all the guns loaded so we don't have to reload. I checked but nothing out of the ordinary happened. After throwing grenades and shooting we went inside the room. We noticed that some of them were alive but we vented out anger by killing all of them.

We group of friends were enjoying to be alive when we saw Professor Mahajan(Maths department) coming from the Main building. I had my doubts but before I could say anything Ashutosh went there happily greeted him and said about their plan and what they have done. He didn't notice but there was a slight frown on his(Professor Mahajan) face but quickly smiled and said, "You have done very well Ashutosh. You should also go with your friends to the gate".

After hearing that Ashutosh went to meet us but I noticed that Professor Mahajan was picking up a Rifle from the ground. Then I feel danger and quickly took out my gun, pushed Ashutosh to the side and pulled the trigger and killed him but I was too late. There was 1 bullet that passed through my liver and others through my stomach. This happened too fast before they could do anything. Ashutosh was shocked that his favorite Professor tried to kill them, he then rushed towards me and said while crying, "Why did you do that? He must be with the terrorists and I was delusional so It must be me not you". I didn't do anything just smiled at him and said in a low voice, "because we are brothers". Hearing this he cried more vigorously. They all heard Ashutosh's crying and came near me and also started crying seeing me in this state. They try to stop the bleeding but it was happening too fast.

I was feeling that I was dying. I looked at all of them and said in a low tone as I don't have much energy, "Don't cry you, idiots. We all knew what was at the stake, Its good that you all survived. You are all my brother in arms who helped me in this matter so don't cry. And enjoy your life and live happily and make me proud. Say to my Big brother that I couldn't be around to make him angry and he should live a happy life. Also, say my parents that I died happily in the arm of his brothers and also I am sorry that I couldn't be a good son. I wasted my whole life, I wasted their money and wasted their love which they have given me. Say to them that I love them very very much. And I am so..."
