Chapter 41 Part 2 一 Ruan Yōu’s Bunny Doll.

After dinner, Ruan Yōu was half relieved and half nervous. It felt really good to vent out and have someone listen. She was grateful that Gu Fuchen could listen to her. When she got up, she really wanted to call him “brother,” but on the first day they met, she didn’t address him that way. Even though she now considered Gu Fuchen as her brother, she felt too shy to say it out loud.

It always felt overly dramatic.

She paused for a moment and silently went upstairs.

Once Ruan Yōu’s figure disappeared from sight, Gu Fuchen sent a message to Song Wen.

Half an hour later, Song Wen sent him the relevant information about the Sheng family.

As he read through it, he messaged Zhu Chiyang.

The Sheng family has already settled in City N. It takes a three-hour flight and then an hour’s drive after landing.

Gu Fuchen arranged for his assistant to book the earliest flight and instructed the driver to go to the Jiang family.

Jiang Huai had just returned from Country M, and before he even had a chance to put his luggage at home, Gu Fuchen forcefully dragged him back.

“What are you doing?”

“Go to City N and drive for me.”

“Why are you going to City N?”

“To retrieve my sister’s little doll.”

. . . . .

City N.

Jiang Huai couldn’t understand why he, a rightful heir to a good family, ended up doing things like “stealing” with Gu Fuchen.

Oh, and “kidnapping” as well.

Before boarding the plane, Gu Fuchen also brought someone named “Zhu Chiyang” along and strictly forbade him from sending messages or making phone calls, just asking him to stand there like a wooden stake and keep a close watch.

Gu Fuchen sat in the co-pilot seat and closed his eyes for a nap.

Ever since he heard what Ruan Yōu said, he couldn’t calm down. His hand, hidden in his pocket, trembled slightly.

“Now you have to tell me where we’re going, right?”

Gu Fuchen: “It’s on the navigation.”

“Okay, okay, I won’t ask.” Jiang Huai vaguely felt that it should be related to the Bodhisattva Sister.

The Sheng family lived in a villa area, and when Gu Fuchen arrived, they were happily watching TV inside.

Jiang Huai cautiously looked inside and asked, “Are you sure we don’t need to call for bodyguards?”

“No.”

He protects his younger sister, does he still need a bodyguard to intervene?

Gu Fuchen looked at Zhu Chiyang, “Wait for me at the door later.”

Jiang Huai was speechless.

“So you brought him all the way to City N just to let him see you go in and settle accounts with someone?”

“Yeah.”

He wanted Zhu Chiyang to know that Ruan Yōu’s real brother was much more powerful than him.

Not just any idiot could approach his sister as a relative.

Jiang Huai: …

At the entrance of the villa, Zhu Chiyang had no idea why things had escalated to this point. He tried his best to explain, but every time he spoke, he only received a cold, icy gaze from Gu Fuchen.

“Shut up.”

The person who came to open the door was Sheng Bei.

“Why are you here?” Sheng Bei smiled when he saw Zhu Chiyang, but his gaze fell on Gu Fuchen. “Who is this?”

“He is…”

“I am Ruan Yōu’s older brother,” Gu Fuchen frowned, glanced inside the room, and confirmed that there were only four people inside, making sure no innocent people would be involved. He forcefully pushed Zhu Chiyang towards the entrance and closed the door with a loud bang, startling everyone inside the room.

Sheng Bei took two steps back in fear.

Sheng Shu quickly stepped forward and said, “Who are you? Get out immediately, or we’ll call the police.”

Zhu Chiyang signaled to Sheng Bei and Sheng Shu with his eyes and silently mouthed two words, “Zhu Yōu.”

Gu Fuchen rolled up his sleeves and spoke in a calm tone, “Are you the neighbor who took away my sister’s doll?”

“What doll…”

Before he could finish his sentence, Gu Fuchen threw him heavily to the ground with a shoulder throw, almost shattering his spine upon impact.

Sheng Bei was terrified and hid behind his parents, shouting, “What doll? You’ve mistaken the person.”

Gu Fuchen frowned, paused for two seconds while gripping Sheng Shu’s back, and said, “Many years ago, you stole a rabbit doll from a little girl named Zhu Yōu.”

Sheng Bei recalled what Zhu Chiyang mentioned in the morning about Ruan Yōu, and instantly understood. She quickly waved her hand and said, “You misunderstood, my bunny doll was definitely given by a friend. How could I snatch something from Zhu Yōu?”

Mentioning this matter, Sheng’s parents’ faces turned pale.

Gu Fuchen furrowed his brows and suddenly felt like laughing.

They took away their sister’s doll, bringing such a huge disaster to her life, yet they lived on without any guilt in the following days.

They never cared about this matter, whether it was Ruan Yōu or Zhu Yōu, whether it was a doll or a toy, they simply didn’t care.

The victim suffered, while the perpetrators felt no remorse.

Interesting.

Gu Fuchen stood up, his lips slightly curved, a smile so gloomy that it made Mother Sheng heart tremble.

Sheng’s parents already understood from Zhu Chiyang’s attitude that this person held a high position. Mother Sheng smiled in an attempt to please him and said, “It was our fault, it was all our fault back then. I will have Bei Bei return the doll now.”

As she spoke, she patted Sheng Bei’s shoulder heavily, “Hurry up and go!”

When Sheng Bei tremblingly presented the rabbit doll to Gu Fuchen, he was not at all happy.

The soft and fluffy doll was covered in dust, and its fair fur had acquired a yellow tint from the passage of time.

“Do you all not remember this incident?” Gu Fuchen tightly held the small body of the rabbit doll and suddenly spoke.

Mother Sheng shook her head in a hurry, “We remember, we remember!”

“At that time, children were ignorant, and we reprimanded them.”

Gu Fuchen chuckled lightly.

“Reprimanded them?”

He placed the doll in the pocket of his coat, lifted his gaze, and expressionlessly scanned the four members of the Sheng family.

“If you don’t remember this incident, it’s fine.”

“I’ll help you remember.”

“From now on, you are blacklisted in the business circle,” Gu Fuchen raised his gaze, looking down on them as he said calmly, “I will make sure you leave with no assets and a ruined reputation.”

“Remember, from this moment on, all the misfortunes that await you 一 being blacklisted in the business circle, being ostracized by others, and not finding peace even if you flee overseas 一 are all because of you taking away my sister’s little rabbit doll.”

Gu Fuchen tidied up his clothes and glanced at Zhu Chiyang, who had a pale face beside him, before leaving. He said, “Pass on a message to your parents for me. Your son can no longer get by in the country or abroad.”

“Everything you do will be monitored by someone.”

He won’t stop until they resort to begging.

Sheng Bei, unwilling to accept it, cried and asked, “Who do you think you are? What gives you the right to be so arrogant? Even if you have some status, so what? This is called bullying the weak with your strength.”

Gu Fuchen’s hand paused on the doorknob upon hearing these words.

He chuckled lightly, without a hint of amusement in his voice.

“Yes, I do bully the weak with my strength.”

“To you, money means you can do whatever you want.”

Weren’t this family the ones who took advantage of his sister not being liked and snatched her stuffed rabbit doll?

“If you’re not satisfied, you can come find me.”

The door was firmly closed by Gu Fuchen.

Sheng Bei cried in a distressed manner, “Who the hell is he?”

Zhu Chiyang managed to squeeze out a sentence.

“Gu Fuchen.”

Father Sheng felt a chill throughout his body.

As Gu Fuchen opened the car door and got in, he faintly heard the sound of loud crying coming from the villa.

Jiang Huai scrutinized him and, after making sure he was fine, teasingly asked, “What did you do to make them cry so miserably?”

Gu Fuchen raised his hand to signal him to drive quickly.

“It’s nothing.”

Those who bully my younger sister will not have a good ending.

When Gu Fuchen and Jiang Huai returned to Marysue City, it was 3 a.m.

Jiang Huai didn’t go home; he went straight to sleep in a guest room at Gu’s house.

Gu Fuchen was in the study on the 6th floor, clumsily learning from a maidservant who knew how to sew.

“Young Master Gu, your stitches are too loose.”

At 7 a.m., after spending a full four hours, Gu Fuchen looked at his work in satisfaction. He quietly went up to the 7th floor and waited for his sister to wake up.

Ruan Yōu remembered that she had to pick up her parents. She had slept restlessly all night and at half past seven, she vaguely heard the doorbell ringing. Thinking it was Wei Wen letting her in, she mumbled from under the covers, “Let me sleep for another half an hour.”

One sleep turned into an hour and a half.

At 9 a.m., Ruan Yōu was awakened by the alarm. She sat up drowsily and opened the curtains to look outside.

The sky was vast, and the sunlight was brilliant.

It’s a good day.

Ruan Yōu’s eyes were a little swollen. She planned to apply a face mask first to reduce the swelling and then go and see her parents looking beautiful.

When she got out of bed, her gaze unintentionally swept to the two neatly arranged rabbit dolls on the bedside table.

One looked a bit old, the one that was taken away from her over ten years ago. It had a lovely appearance, and the rabbit was cute and adorable. The other one was “roughly made,” with the rabbit’s facial features crooked and sewn poorly.

There were two small notes below.

Ruan Yōu picked them up.

The first note said, “Ruanruan, your brother helped you snatch back the rabbit doll.”

Ruan Yōu had mixed emotions, feeling touched and pleasantly surprised. She admitted that when she said those words to Gu Fuchen yesterday, she secretly wished for her brother to help her seek revenge. Everyone likes to be cherished by their family, and she was no exception.

But she didn’t expect Gu Fuchen, a domineering overlord and the successor of the Bozhan group, to go to the Sheng family and snatch back the rabbit doll.

Just as she was about to open the second note, Lu Ming’s phone call came in.

“Ruanruan, today I ran into the stall owner who used to sell duck blood vermicelli. Finally, I found out what happened to the roadside stalls.”

“The boss of the duck blood vermicelli stall said that the roadside stalls will come back. A wealthy person bought the entire street some time ago and said they would build small shelters for each vendor. That way, when his sister comes to eat snacks in the winter, she won’t be exposed to the cold wind.”

Ruan Yōu thought of the conversation they had when they went to eat at the roadside stall.

一 It must be really cold to eat here in the winter.

一 Yes, but the food is delicious.

“Ruan Chenchen did it, right?”

Whether in the past or the future, Ruan Chenchen tried hard to squeeze into Ruan Yōu’s memories, filling up those unpleasant memories clumsily by buying the roadside stalls and renovating them.

He didn’t ask for much, just hoping to add a touch of joy to his sister’s black-and-white memories of the past while presenting a new future life to her.

“Ruan Yōu, we won’t feel cold when we go to eat at the roadside stalls in the future! On behalf of the students of B University, thank you, big brother.”

Ruan Yōu was stunned, feeling a bit emotional, and looked down at the second small note.

“Big brother made a new doll for you.”

A new doll, a new life.
