Hero System! Transported to Another World

Ryan explained the use of the phone and the earpiece to Alex. "That's about it on your equipment. Now, I do have another thing to tell you." Ryan looked serious.

Alex nodded and looked towards Ryan, waiting for him to speak.

"Well, It seems like Hana has attached to someone as a trustworthy individual. I hope you don't break her trust. And, well… I guess you'll know when the time comes but just be sure to take care of her when you can. I'd love to take that role but she doesn't seem to let me close… I might not make sense here but essentially what I'm trying to say is, take care of her. She is quick to anger and might make irrational decisions… Especially, in this case, she might look calm but she is burning with anger and hatred inside. I know this is a weird request, but don't let her make the wrong decision." Ryan said to Alex with a very serious expression.

Alex nodded and smiled," I don't know how I can do that but I guess I can try. I already have a feeling that Hana has been through one of these experiments of had a close friend who went through it and something bad happened." Ryan smiled when he heard Alex's reply. He nodded, "You're a good man." He sat down on his chair and looked towards the door to the file room.

Hana walked out at just the right moment and looked towards Alex and Ryan. Her face was completely red in anger, it looked like she could blow up at any time. She walked towards Ryan and looked into his eyes, "Where did you find these files. And if you knew what was happening all this time, why didn't you do anything about it?"

Ryan looked towards Hana and shook his head, "I didn't do anything to get them. My investigation was just looking into what the files said and piling them up until I knew that they weren't false logs. I called you here as soon as I deduced that they were all true. The truth of the matter is, I know that you will get to the end of this. I told Master Zhun about this investigation and he was the one who told me that it would be the best choice to give you the job to investigate and find out where this is happening and put an end to it… Any means necessary."

Hana took a deep breath and nodded, She looked up and said, "I guess I get to finish this part on my life once and for all. I can be set free after I do this." Hana then quickly turned towards Alex, "I guess your chat is also done, I'll go to my office. You go to the apartment. I have a lot to do today."

Alex could see that Hana was hiding her anger but deep within her anger seemed to hide sadness. She didn't seem true to her own emotions. Alex then noticed that Ryan was looking at him with a meaningful gaze. 'I guess I understand what he means. I can see sadness withing her eyes, hidden behind her anger. She seems to have a history with these experiments, and a bad one at that.' Alex made up his mind to help Hana in any way possible. When thinking of ways to help her, he could only think of one thing, 'Get stronger.' If Alex could become stronger, he would be able to Join Hana while she confronts the experiments.

Hana walked out of the office, Alex followed behind. He knew what he had to do, 'I will need to rely on the system to get stronger, much much stronger.'

Hana looked towards Alex and said, "I'll be taking another car to my office. You will be driven back to the apartment in the same car we used to get here. I'm sorry but I won't be accompanying you as much anymore. I know that it's been a day that you've come here and everything is just piling on you. New information, new people, new powers, everything must be difficult. So I wanted to accompany you for a few more days, at least until you were used to everything. But now, huge things have come up and I can't do that anymore. You can contact me anytime you want. I'll probably answer it."

Alex was happy to hear Hana try to comfort him even when she was the one who needed it more. He didn't know how to reply to her. Alex smiled, "Thank you, but don't worry about me. I'll be fine, You take care of yourself. This seems like a huge thing for you but don't overwork and take care of your health." A small smile appeared on Hana's face when she heard Alex.

The two walked out of the building. Alex went into the car that they used to get to the bureau. Hana went another direction and get into another car.

While Alex was in the car, he took out the phone. Just before he separated with Hana, she had taught him how to call people on the phone. 'It's pretty easy.' Alex said to himself as he fiddled around with his phone.

He looked at the map and could see the entire city. "No gates." He said to himself. He looked around and was surprised to see that there was an option to look at the entire country. 'Now that I think about it, This world is probably like where I came from. Different nations, cities, and so on. I wonder how similar they are.' Alex looked at the country map and surprised, "It's so similar yet so different. It seems like the location of this country is similar to that of Hojo, the country where I come from. Some shapes are also similar but the rest are different. It still feels surreal to think that I am not only on another planet but in a different universe. These gates, so many mysteries."
