Hero System! Transported to Another World

Alex looked up at the ceiling and sighed, 'Will I even have the time to myself? All I want now is to just relax and look at the system, explore what I unlocked.' He was disappointed when he realized that he had to wait a bit more. 

Midnight looked at Alex in a weird expression and snapped her fingers in front of his face. "Alex! Anyone in there? Hello???" She said as he looked at Alex. 

Alex jolted back to reality, he looked at Midnight and scratched his head, "I'm sorry, I got lost in thought for a second." Midnight nodded and said, " You indeed were. The second you open the door, you look up and then lose your focus… Am I that ugly? I even wore a pretty dress." Midnight pouted as she spoke. 

Alex shook his head and said, "No! No! You're very pretty Midnight. Buster is a lucky man. I just remembered something from the past… I guess no matter how shit life was back there, I'd still miss it to remember it haha." Alex quickly made up a reason.

Midnight smiled and replied, "Don't worry about it, I was just teasing you. Plus, you're a pretty lucky guy, you'll know in due time but just be sure to not be dense. For now, Will you stand in front of the door and not let me in? A woman has made some food for you and you don't even let her in?" Midnight put her hands on her hip. 

Alex quickly backed away from the door and said, "I'm sorry, please come in. I really haven't done anything so It's pretty clean. I hope you're cozy here." Alex awkwardly laughed, 'At least I didn't voice any of my thoughts. I'll just need to wait until I have some food. It's already evening so I doubt we will train today. So after having some food, I'll have some time to finally look at the system.' Alex assured himself as he walked towards the living room. 

Midnight took a seat and put down her box. She looked at Alex and said, "I'd be good to have some plates, I'm too lazy to eat in the dining room so let's just have the food here. Plus the view from the window here is very good, At least better than what I get to see."

Alex nodded and quickly got some plates. Midnight smiled and opened her box, Inside seemed to be some sandwiches and some rolls. Midnight looked at Alex and said, "The sandwich is just to fill you up, the rolls however are something you might not have tasted before… It's a special food made in my hometown."

Alex looked at the Roll and nodded, it was gold in color but the exterior also looked to be transparent. Inside the roll seemed to be colorful. Alex had never seen anything like that before. "Indeed, I haven't seen a roll like that, it looks very different." 

Midnight smiled and nodded, She looked at Alex and said, "Well, Why don't we eat?" She grasped a sandwich and started to eat. Alex also took a sandwich and started to eat.

After some time, The two looked at the empty box and smiled, Alex looked at Midnight and thanked her, "Thank you, It was a very good meal. I feel really full now." Midnight nodded and laughed, "It was fun, If you liked it, I'll come tomorrow with some more food. But you'll need to cook yourself dinner and breakfast. I'll be out of here tonight to train. You should rest."

Alex nodded when he heard midnight he looked at her and said, "I do want to rest a bit. So much has happened, A good rest will do wonders." 

Midnight looked at Alex and smiled, "Well, I'll be going now, As I said before. If you need anything, just call me. I'll come right away. You can also call Imani, she might arrive faster than me haha." Midnight laughed as she walked to the door. She slowly walked to the elevator and pressed the button to go to her floor.

Alex watched as the elevator went down. After a few minutes, after confirming that no one else was coming to his floor, Alex finally jumped back to the sofa. 

He opened the system Ui and looked at the menu.

A small smile appeared on Alex's face when he saw his levels, "At least the health and Mana increased… But not by very much. I don't think that it will give me drastic changes in my health and Mana in lower levels but I hope it increases once I get to a higher level, These abilities take a lot of Mana so It's better if they increase so I can do more abilities. " Alex said as he opened the Attributes Menu.

Alex thought for a moment before deciding which attributes to increase. My Health and Mana also get affected by this so I'll need to make a proper choice. After some thought, Alex quickly used all three of his points.

Alex opened the menu to see his Health and Mana.

Alex looked satisfied by the health and Mana and looked back at the system, "If I remember, The most exciting thing was something that the system said I'd only see after I reach level 10. Now that I'm level 11, I've unlocked that new feature." 

Alex quickly looked at the main screen and saw a new prompt at the bottom. [ITEM SHOP]

"Item Shop?" Alex looked confused and pressed the small question mark at the side of the prompt. A familiar voice entered his mind, "The Item shop is the place where the player can buy any items that are available in the shop. The contents of the shop, as well as the price, will remain but as the player evolves, the prices and number of items will increase. The player will need to transact with energy stones."
