Hero System! Transported to Another World

Alex nodded, 'She's telling me that if I get any time to Talk to Hana, I should… At least to clear her head because it seems like Hana doesn't let much out to others… But the main problem here is, why would she even want to talk to me about her problems… I don't understand why Midnight is saying all this but If I can be of some help, I will try my best.' Alex finished his food and got up from the chair. Midnight also finished her food and spoke, "You're really in a hurry to learn aren't you?" 

Alex smiled, "I've never been able to learn something so quickly before. I know that once I learn all these techniques, I'll be more powerful. So I'll be more helpful to people!" He looked excited. Midnight furrowed her eyebrows and spoke, "I guess there is no reason a man goes after power, It's human nature to want to be more powerful but don't do the cliche thing and fall into your power's hands. If you do, You'll be out of control and I'll have to come and beat some sense into you." Midnight said as she punched his fists.

Alex laughed awkwardly and spoke, "I really don't want power for the sake of having power. I just don't want to be that weak man that I was before. I want to make it so that anyone like me can live life properly." Midnight smiled when she heard Alex, She pulled him out of the room while laughing, "You're a good lad! Come I'm be teaching you more!" 

The two went to the arena to train. Midnight put Alex through 2 hours of nonstop training to help build his endurance. She taught him all the basic forms of punches, Jab, straight, upper cut, and many more. "Good, You know the basics, you're already on your way to mastering those punches in a span of only two hours… That's a scary feat but something that makes me happy. Alex, by the time this weekend, I probably won't have much to teach you but at least You will be able to battle more efficiently. It'll be the day that you also breakthrough to B rank… Well, you've already broken through it but not officially." 

MIdnight then coughed, "Back to topic, what I mean to say is that, now that you've got the basics down for punches, why not have a go at sparring with the bot once again? This time, the difficulty will be amped up to be around mid C rank. Something stronger than you!" She looked excited.

Alex looked a bit shocked but he took a deep breath and nodded, "That would be amazing. Especially since this time, my enemy will be stronger than me, I will be able to learn my own weaknesses!. I'll also get to see how these techniques will be used in battle!" Alex also felt excited, His blood was pumping. 

Midnight smiled and jumped out of the large circle engraving in the room. Alex looked around and saw a bot jump into the circle, "As I've said before, this arena is used to hold battles and mocks. It can withstand an A ranked awakened's full power blow… IT will break for an S ranks' full power attack but it will not fall. We've had among the strongest S ranks in the world battle here only for there to be some complications but this place help on like a champ. So you also go all out, worry about nothing but your enemy!" 

[Combat Initiated]

Alex nodded and took a deep breath, he kept his eyes on the bot and smiled, "This time, I won't use the dagger unless I really need to." He wanted to use the attacks that he had just learned this day. 'I learned these moves at a scary rate so let's see if these moves that I've learned at this amazing pace are truly useful or not!' Alex already had his answer before when he tested his punch on Midnight but he still wanted to be sure. His doubts on the system were none but being granted something amazing as if it was nothing was the problem for Alex. He wanted to be sure that this ability was truly useful.

The bot looked at Alex and took out a sword from it's back. It then jumped at Alex, the sword above its head. "An overhead strike!" Alex quickly jumped back, he knew that he couldn't block the strike with his hands so Alex had to dodge. 'I need to get close to him but that sword is in the way…' As Alex thought of a method to take down the Bot, He noticed that the bot was already on its way with another attack. 'Another overhead strike!' Alex exclaimed internally. This time, however, Alex didn't jump back, 'He's jumping towards me so I should just slide under him and go for his back. That way the sword won't reach me!' Without realizing it, Alex quickly formed a plan in his head. It was entirely based on intuition. 

Alex ran under the bot as it passed over his head. Alex then smiled and ran towards the Bot's bareback, 'This is my chance to get some damage!' Alex exclaimed. He punched towards the bot's back with all his power. He had also used might just before running towards the bot so his movements were quicker than before. 

*boom!* The bot received a direct hit on it's back. Alex watched as the bot flew into the wall. "It's over!" Alex exclaimed as he looked at MIdnight, "did I do good?" He smiled. But even before Midnight could answer him, Alex looked at his UI, 'It's still in combat mode! Meaning that the bot isn't down… How dumb of me to assume it's down without even checking.' Alex looked at the bot and ran towards it, hoping to get another blow on it. 

Midnight, who was about to ridicule Alex about his mistake smiled, "Scary senses… I even thought it was down at first but this is a Bot that is powerful to a mid B ranked awakened. Alex just barely got to B rank so let's see how he handles the bot when it goes all out." She then looked up towards the camera and spoke, "however, Those who are watching this must be in quite a shock… This guy who didn't know even the basics of combat just suddenly started to use proper punches and footwork… At least we have Ryan and Master Zhun to protect him until he gets to a level where he can protect himself…" Midnight thought back to yesterday when she talked to Ryan over the phone.

-10 pm, Midnight's room-

"You're crazy! The arena is a great place to train but If Alex shows amazing potential, then the military will try to get involved with him… That Mary already seemed to be acquainted with Alex so it would be easier for them to just carry him and make him one of their own… We can't have that! I'll just train him in an area without their vision!" Midnight looked serious as she held a phone in her ear. 

"It'll be alright. Master Zhun has already taken a liking to Alex. He kept on mumbling that Alex was just like him so I don't think anyone will even get to touch Alex without incurring his wrath… He might be old now but There was a time when Master Zhun was Higher than an S rank awakened… One of the only 5 in this world… Even though he is weak now, do you think the military will take the risk of angering Master Zhun over that lad? There is a chance that Alex might have even higher potential, good enough to make them think about it but They won't act out. That is certain." Ryan's voice came from the phone. 

Midnight sighed and spoke, "If you say so…"

*BOOM!*

A huge boom snapped Midnight back to the present, she saw Alex get thrown into the wall. "Kwekh!" Alex groaned in pain. He grabbed his stomach, where the bot had struck him. "To thi… Think that it would act injured to lure me… Well played." Alex commended the Ai of the bot. He didn't expect that to happen at all. He looked at Midnight who looked a bit concerned but as soon as she saw Alex's smile, She understood that he was fine. 

Alex looked at the Bot with a wide smile, "I didn't expect this to be so fun… I'll go all out now!" Alex roared as he equipped his dagger. He also thought about drinking a potion but Alex wanted to have this battle fair. He also didn't know if Health Potions were a thing so He knew it would be safe if he kept it with himself unless it was an emergency. Alex took a deep breath and jumped towards the bot. The bot also jumped towards Alex. "This next attack will decide the winner!"
