Prologue: Death and Wishes

A human dies another is born, this is the never-ending cycle that has been present since ancient times. But, there is one concept that made everyone really interested that even modern people still believe in it.

Reincarnation.

Humans from ancient times believe in reincarnation. Though there are different interpretations of reincarnation the main idea still remains – to be reborn once again.

It is not an easy thing to imagine nor hard at the same time, but reincarnation is but an idea, not a fact. There may have a lot of theories explaining this concept but at the end of everything, reincarnation remains an idea.

There's no way of proving whether it is real or not, thus, reincarnation still remains a fantasy that everyone yearns. To be reborn once again, regaining your memories using it to your advantage to have a good life.

It was dark.

That was the only thought Nicholas (Nick) have at the moment because wherever he looks, there was nothing to be seen aside from the darkness that seems to be infinite.

He was not even sure if he was turning as the sensation of having a head was nonexistent even his other limbs or his body. He could only imagine that he has one.

Nick tried everything he could think of but nothing works for him, so he resigned himself to whatever awaits him and began to think of how he even got here.

It was a lovely day for him, but he was only being sarcastic since he never had experienced a lovely day before, well, aside from the time when he got lost in a forest and manage to sleep for three hours.

Good times…

Anyway, Nick was an orphan and had suffered a lot ever since his childhood, not to mention when he was a baby when he was thrown out of a window and even manage to live the next day.

That was a miracle.

At the young age of five, he was already aware that everyone hates him. Why?

Because every time they see him, they would either punch him in the face, spit at him, throw paper balls at him, or even tie him to a tree. It was suspicious that DSWD did not even hear of it, but he didn't care.

Because as time goes by, he eventually got used to it that the bullies around him got bored because of his lack in response. And in the end, he spent most of his time alone.

What he does to relieve his loneliness was to read novels or watch animes. And in those, he found happiness, thought short-lived since he can't afford to waste electricity that much.

Now that he thinks about it, nothing weird really happened except him, fainting while he was reading a novel titled 'Miracle Throne'.

It was a good novel where the Main Character rises from the bottom as he possesses knowledge from the future. He was a little bit irritating cause he allows himself to be bullied by girls or even his little fox.

Nick was also a dreamer of reincarnating, but he knows that that is only a fantasy and nothing more.

Back to where he was. Nick had no idea how long he has been in the darkness but he knows that it must have been a long time already and he had no idea why is he not even hungry.

That may have something to do with him having no stomach.

"Ohhh. So you actually survived that long." A voice that sounded like it came from every direction resounded. Nick was startled and started looking around him.

"What?! Where?! Who are you?!" this was not an everyday thing to suddenly hear a voice that came from every direction or the fact that he was in a place that is very dark or him not feeling his body.

Actually, he was not even sure how he was thinking or how he managed to speak.

"Quiet the curious one aren't you? Well, you will have time for that later one but first things first. Let's get straight into business." The voice said.

And then a table, chair, and a cup filled with tea appeared. Nick was then forced to sit on the table with his body now, which shocked him a lot. He then looked around still looking for the voice.

"Stop looking around since you can't see me." The voice said as if understanding what Nick was thinking.

Nick knew that it will be futile to look around but he was still not used to talking to some unknown being. He was even surprised that he didn't panic seeing the chair and table suddenly appearing.

He took a sip of the tea, since he felt kinda thirsty, psychologically, "Hmmm, Good Tea!"

The tea was very good, it was not like any other tea he had tasted before and that's only natural since he can only drink cheap teas that can not be even considered as a tea.

"So who are you exactly? Why am I here?" Nick finally asked. Since he had no way of knowing where he was or how to get out of this situation.

"First, let me introduce myself. I am the 'The One' or what you call as the God in your world but don't compare me to those cheap imitations since there is no one besides me." The voice said. "And to your second question, you are in a place what you guys like to call as the 'purgatory' but I call it the 'Void'."

Nick was shocked, not like he was not before but now, he was even more shocked. This kind of situation will lead to one thing and he knows what it is.

"That's right Nick. What you are thinking right now is what it really is." The voice confirmed what he was thinking and Nick was not even surprised that it can read his thoughts. That was already written numerous times that it feels cliché.

"What do I get then? Cheats? Wishes? System? Err, no, don't give me a system that's overused." Nick said with excitement. Not a little bit confused as to why he was here or the reason for it.

Why would he? The chance to be reincarnated is right in front of him and why would he waste time when he could have a second chance in life and turn things around.

All his life was full of sufferings and he also wants to feel loved, happy, and even share it with friends and his family.

"Calm down Nick. You have five wishes to use but I have to warn you that you don't wish for anything that might spoil the fun for you. I mean, you can wish to be very strong, very rich, or even very handsome. I'll give you time to think so no need to rush it." The voice said to him with a laugh. He was even given time to think, the voice was really kind.

Then, Nick suddenly realized something that he forgot because of his excitement. Even though he didn't have to really ask for this, but he was still curious.

"Why am I here? And Why am I given this chance?"

Why? He was only an orphan, he can't be considered as a good person since he steals food to live or even trick other people. There was even a time when he almost killed someone out of desperation.

So, why would he be given this great chance?

The voice was silent for a few seconds before answering, "You know that you have a bad life, right?"

Nick nodded. Because he really had a bad life. Using the word bad is already being nice of him to say.

"The reason why you are chosen has nothing to do with what you have experienced in life." Nick was confused and had the face as if saying 'Then why the hell did you ask me?'.

"But even though it is not the main reason, there is still part of it that contributes to why you are here." The voice continued as Nick decided to listen.

"It was very boring in the 'Void' so I decided to pick 1 billion miserable souls and placed them in the 'Void'. The 'Void' possesses strong energy that no other things can handle aside from me.

So the moment that I placed those souls in the 'Void' they all disappeared except for your soul. Now, it was supposed to be already done at that time but since it was too anti-climatic, I decided to wait and see how long you could survive.

I waited for a year, then a hundred years, million years, billion years, all the way up to five octillion years and you still showed no sign of disappearing. So I decided to stop it and give you rewards for it."

Nick, hearing that he was just part of a play for this voice to pass its boredom, he felt like he had the urge to cry but had no tears to. And then, hearing that he had stayed in the 'Void' for over an octillion years, he had no idea whether he should be proud or be depressed.

He survived for octillion years alone which is great but also means that he was born to be a loner. And he was still a v.i.r.g.i.n, okay, that may have nothing to be with the situation but it also has something to do with it.

Nick decided that there was no use to thinking of it now since it was already in the past, way back in the past. So now, he decided to face his future and think of wishes that would be beneficial to him and help him get stronger fast while still making it fun.

He had read many novels and can think of several ideas but they are all limited, so he has to think out of the box. He began thinking of what he had seen in the movies or in the animes, then compared them to what was in the novels.

It took him about several minutes before he had decided what to wish for, though he could have to think harder he can hardly wait to be reincarnated.

"I now know what to wish," Nick said.

The voice answered right after he said those words, "Go state it then."

Nick took a deep breath and then exhaled a lot of chaotic air, he then started his first wish, "I wish to have access to all the knowledge in the Omniverse."

His wish was very simple since he can't decide on what to wish, he may as well take all the knowledge there is. In that case, he won't need to worry anything since he knows everything.

The voice was silent, so silent that it made Nick nervous thinking that the wish was over the top.

"Your wish is fine but I need to limit it to only the knowledge towards things, not the events or what will be a certain living thing's future. You will only know the knowledge about anything aside from those, for example, you will have knowledge about alchemy and every technique there is." The voice said which is not really far away from what he had imagined.

"That's great. My second wish is to have the ability to travel to different worlds in the Omniverse. Third, I wish that I have an Innate Divine World inside of me that has the 1 million times the size of Super Jupiter, I have complete control of that world and it will also increase in size as I the time pass by. The fourth wish is to have the ability to conquer a world and store it inside me together with the Innate Divine World." Nick stated three wishes in one breath as he catches his breath.

His wishes were simple once again but in the long run, it can still help him. His second wish is understandable, third wish also helpful for him and the fourth wish is advantageous for him.

There was no need to explain these wishes and this is not because the God (Author) is lazy to explain it but rather, they are self-explanatory.

"Your wishes have been granted. Your Innate Divine World will have a one time chance to be transformed to your liking and you will receive a 'Creation Seed' that can be used once to create anything for a year. State your last wish now." The voice said.

It was even more amazing now that he had received a 'Creation Seed' which he can use for a year, which means he could create anything for a year, and what would happen when it is combined with his access to every knowledge in the world?

The result is unthinkable.

Nick was feeling really excited now but he knows that his last wish will be worth a lot and will also be decided whether he will be trash or not.

"As for my last wish, I want to have a bloodline only available to me. I want it to be called the 'Cosmic AceBloodline' its benefits are a lot but it basically improves everything in me. My perception, comprehension ability, talent, soul strength, and other aspects. I leave it up to you on how strong you will make it." Nick said.

"hmm, Okay then. How do you like to be reincarnated and which world is it?" the voice asked him.

Nick, happy to hear that he could even choose which world he will be reincarnated and even the way how he will be reincarnated is very happy. And there was only one world he would like to go since this is also the last thing he knew before his death.

"I want to be reincarnated in the Miracle Throne World as Yun Yao's twin older brother and my name will be Yun Weizhi," Nick said.

Yun Yao means 'Brilliant Cloud' while Yun Weizhi means 'Unknown Cloud'.

Things will get interesting when he gets there and he will change the timeline greatly.

"Okay then. But hear this, the timeline will be different from what you know so don't rely too much on what you have known."

"I will. And thank you for everything." Nick said as he bowed. Feeling completely grateful for the voice that had given him this chance.

The voice didn't say anything and just made him disappear, after he was gone, the 'Void' which was dark suddenly lit up and what appeared was a gigantic palace made of pure adamantine.

On the throne hall, there was a woman sitting on the throne, her chin was resting on her arms as she stared at the place where Nick was before he disappeared.

"Darling, you have suffered so much just for your experiment. When will you regain your memories and remember once again? Don't worry though as I will be waiting for you till that time comes."

The woman who was sitting on the throne was a beauty that could cause destruction with just the sight of her silhouette while her smile can even cause a war between the Gods. No being can resist her beauty and yet here she was, waiting for a person for so long.
