"The system huh? I should be able to make see of this."

This brought Lurker to inevitably give his new master's arrangement a try. Truthfully, the system had enamored him but as a sane beast, he should be wary of new things. He was right to be suspicious since his soul had been worked on, which was never anything good.

For some reason though, he could not feel troubled by the Game Master. He couldn't exactly point at what was it, but the Game Master was strangely a 'nice' person who even went as far as to say 'sorry' to him. If it were Lurker, he wouldn't say sorry, but even go as far as to bully his victims just for the kicks of it.

The Game Master was a weird powerhouse, he concluded.

Lurker gazed into his system interface with seriousness. The 'classes' as the system referred to them were the various Dao Ways that cultivators could take. According to some scriptures, there were 100 ways in 1000 ways... It possessed profound meaning that every individual had their own unique path to understanding Dao.

That was why the system in front of Lurker was quite baffling. The system after all just shortened the many Dao Ways into four... Why weren't there more? Lurker inwardly asked himself.

Thinking of scriptures, Lurker realized that the system interface must be a kind of very high-level scripture. Perhaps, it was on the level beyond perfect grade even!

"Classes... Huh? Which should I pick? The Way of the Warrior... The Warrior Dao... It was the Dao of the Sword, Battle, Death, and Martial Ability... It was a curious choice, but..."

In the second panel of Lurker's system was a Rogue flickering with various tricks.

[Rogue— a class that specialized in tricky martial skills. Arts: Fade | Snatch]

Lurker felt drawn to this class. He wasn't keen on the Warrior class since it used weapons that Lurker was not used to. Mage and Cleric with their spells sounded enticing, but with Lurker's personality, he just could not help, but be drawn to the Rogue class.

"Finally," Lu Gao cried tears of joy. "I SHALL BE A MAAAAGE!"

Yeah, indeed. Lu Gao had been very a-MAGE-zing.

[Name: Lu Gao (Hyper Blast Super General) | Class: Mage | Level 11 (1st—Martial Tempering)]

Lu Gao was able to finish 8 hours of meditation straight. It was difficult at first, but he was able to get the hang of it after putting himself on the precipice of death.

[Name: Lu Gao (Hyper Blast Super General)

Vitality: 2%]

It was very suicidal of him, but it looked like his idle reading back when he was still a villager helped him greatly. He read in passing that the human body hid incredible potential that could only be tapped through standing at death's door.

After jumping from a cliff several times, through trial and error, Lu Gao finally recreated a near-to-death scenario which he fully took advantage of. Though bloody and his sight was faint, Lu Gao's concentration was at an all-time high.

"FORCE," He tried his martial spell at a random rock. "Wow, it levitated!"

Like a kid with a new toy, which he was, Lu Gao played. He made the rock fly, crash, rotate, and do a lot of things.

"The FORCE! It was calling to me, hahahahaha!"

Lu Gao's joy was short-lived though as he noticed his depleting qi easily reached zero.

"What the… I haven't tried my Bind spell yet!"

[Hyper Blas Super General's Arts: Force, Bind]

Force— To manifest an invisible magical hand of force.

Bind— To bind the foe with the arcane magical forces.

"They sounded so cool…" Plastered on his face was a childish smile. But it slowly and swiftly changed to that of a lonely expression.

Lu Gao recalled the days when he was just a curious and ignorant lad who only knew of the joys of playing and fooling around, and while most would consider him a strange boy, he was loved.

"Buojing and Guiren, those guys would be shocked that I just became a cultivator." Reminded by his friends, he lay on the rocky earth. He was struck by sadness, but he didn't let these emotions overwhelm him. To reminisce was both a joyful and painful affair

"I wondered... what mom would think…" Tears accumulated in his eyes with short hiccups escaping from him. His mom used to be a scribe in the royal archives. Lu Gao didn't know anything about his father, even his mom, was reluctant to speak about his father.

"Biron Kingdom… Royal Archives…" Lu Gao whispered under his breath, as he drove a dagger right through his chest aiming for an instant resurrection.

Ping! Payer Died!

Nee Chen had a hard time, but he was able to flee in the end from the bunch of monkeys. Even without qi, his natural dexterity and speed were nothing to scoff at. With just little bits of tricks, he was able to fool the herd of monkeys. Despite the beasts chasing him having better raw stats in that they were naturally faster and stronger than him, Nee Chen only needed to be smarter.

After a few more minutes and hours of waiting, Nee Chen finally revealed himself from his hiding spot.

Lying covertly under the mud pit, Nee Chen arose. Excited for some hefty Exp, Nee Chen rushed for the fat croc. "I hoped Bi Yuan, and Xiang Ya were able to hold off."

Nee Chen tried to think of it optimistically, but the sun was almost down, and dusk was close at hand. There was still light when he arrived at the creek, so he was able to see just fine. There were signs of battles that occurred as if a disaster took a stroll in the creek's path.

"What? H-how?" Focussing his gaze, he could see a man sitting in a lotus position.

'Was he meditating?' Looking above the man's head were the words 'Lurker'.

Nee Chen advanced curious about the unfamiliar player. The man seemed to be totally naked. The lack of decency made Nee Chen frown, "Hello," he greeted. "Sir, what were you doing?"

But the naked man remained unmoving. 'Rude,' Nee Chen thought. 'If someone greeted you, you should greet back!'

The man was clearly awake as his eyes were fully open. Gazing into nothingness, the man remained unmoving and was very still. Nee Chen observed that the man was not meditating, but was just staying very still.

"Were you retarded?" Annoyed, Nee Chen pushed the man very gently.

"FUCK!" The man's forehead popped with #, anger filling his eyes. Provoked, Lurker attacked.

Nee Chen Level 21 VS Lurker Level 10.

Lurker was used to being in the position of the strong, thus he was not able to gauge the level of trouble he put himself into. His fist was easily evaded, but because of Lurker's misplaced pride, he did his best to inflict damage. The reason he was able to easily reach Level 10 was because of the 'operation' control that he had over his opponents. He dished out a well-calculated kick that Nee Chen could not ignore.

Because of just the adrenaline still pumping on Nee Chen's eins, he retaliated.

It just couldn't get any worse for Lurker. He was just unlucky. That day, the first-ever PK within the Sect occurred, and it was a difference of more than TEN LEVELS! It was just bullying at this point. The obvious result was out immediately after Nee Chen instinctively drew his sword.

"Ah~!" Nee Chen cried. "Why were you even naked to begin with!?" He was angry but had no one to vent to as his sword had become bloody, while the naked man named Lurker had long been turned into a bloody corpse.
