It was the rating game that would decide the fate of my sister. Sadly for me, this wasn't my only problem at the moment. A new party within the underworld had garnered massive support and was pushing for the power of the current Statans to be limited.

While holding great decision-making power themselves, the Satans also held great power. Thankfully he still had the backing of the remaining pillars, though even that was on the downside, considering the privileges he had been granting his little sister and her friend together with the help of Serafall.

'What could be happening… could it be the old satan faction? No, those old bastards think highly of themselves and are easy to read. The timing is too perfect. Somebody chose the exact time I was using my power to make a move. If Issei wins, the Phenex would start to support the new party and so would the families depending on them for the Phoenix Tears. This is a major move and I'm already in check. Even if Issei loses I can't simply let my sister marry Riser. Either way, somebody has prepared long and carefully for this. Whoever it is, also knows that my only move is to kill him before he reveals himself or it'll be too late.'

I had already tasked Grayfia with finding out any relevant information about the head of the party, but sadly all we had was rumors.

'I can't move based on mere rumors, the 3 faction meeting has been decided and time is of the essence. Should the meeting go through without problems I will likely be able to get some breathing room. It is unlikely for the hidden party to attack as it would mean provoking all 3 factions. For now, he will probably stay quiet, taking over the underworld takes time.'

I saw Sirzech looking blankly at the screen, watching the fight while not paying it any attention.

'Yes, think, think… who am I, what am I going to do, how am I going to do it. Without knowing me all you will draw is a blank canvas, while I already have the completed picture.'

Moving away from the main attraction I made my way towards the Phenex couple.

Zero: "Isn't it pointless?"

Lord Phenex didn't need to turn around to know who was talking to him.

L.P: "Tch… you were right, though who wins remain to be seen."

Zero: "The Dragon is going to win, he is already using holy water, what do you expect? Even though holy artifacts and items are prohibited in underworld matches, he is using them and Sirzech knowingly won't do anything about it."

L.P: "… where I to agree, what can I expect."

Zero: "20% voting power. Make a few friends and you should have no problem passing the majority of decisions. I won't interfere much if any at all."

As the fight continued, Issei eventually won, breaking the mind of Riser Phenex. Lord Phenex's eye twitched as he saw the smile on Sirzech Lucifer's lips.

L.P: "Tch… very well, I accept."

After getting an answer my projection disappeared.

(Kuoh Academy, empty classroom)

A young man was sitting on a desk, in front of him a chessboard containing a full set of black pieces and only 2 wite pieces left. Suddenly the man raised his hand and flicked another piece from the white side from the chessboard, leaving only the king behind.

'One by one, until the last one drops.'

As the day passed, I detected 2 distinct yet familiar auras that seemed to be heading toward the school. It was 2 Excalibur fragments, that I haven't seen in quite a while. Slowly I made my way towards the backyard of the occult club where these 'wanna be' fighters were going to be having their match.

…

Xenovia: "Excalibur belongs to the church and we are taking it back. We are merely here as a courtesy, to tell you to stay out of our way."

Slowly I cam forward from behind the trees.

Zero: "Excalibur belongs to the church? Why is that? It was created through alchemy and magic by powerful beings and between them, Merlin was at the forefront. So how do they belong to the church?"

Xenovia: "Who are you?"

Zero: "It doesn't matter, answer my question now."

Xenovia: "The swords have been in control of the church for more than 500 years. That is why they belong to us."

Zero: "So… you mean to tell me that because you stole them before more than 500 years, they are yours. I don't know what to say about ownership but the church does make for great grave robbers. Was it a necessary skill to learn? Just because an object is holy, it doesn't mean it is yours to take."

Xenovia: "How dare you?! The swords belong to God."

As she said that she suddenly charged towards me. She raised Durandal and aimed to cut my head off.

Zero: "The sword doesn't belong to god, neither to any of you, but starting today, it'll belong to me."

I grabbed the sword with my right hand, rotated counterclockwise, and kicked her with my left leg right in the stomach, creating a sonic boom and sending Xenovia crashing through the trees. Suddenly disappearing I created a small crater where I was standing and appeared behind Irina.

Zero: "I'll be taking this." – I said as I cut her hand with Excalibur Destruction and took Excaibur Mimic using my other hand.

Irina: "Agh..NO!!!"

Zero: "I have what I came for, so I'll be taking my leave."

But before I could leave Kiba appeared and blocked my way.

Zero: "What do you think you are doing?"

Kiba: "I have to destroy those swords, I can't allow you to leave with them. Leave them and you can go."

Issei joined him shortly afterward.

Issei: "You hurt those girls and took their swords. We are not letting you go so easily."

Zero: "Do you actually think you have any decision making power here? Gremory, do tell your servants to go away before I make them, you have no idea the number of troubles you are creating for your brother already."

Rias: "Kiba, Issei, he is right, stand down."

Issei: "But… Buchou���"

Kiba didn't listen and just launched himself at me, keeping his eyes on the swords.

I immediately hit him in with E.D and as he tried to defend himself he was launched across the forest, his swords breaking from the impact.

Zero: "Talking about destroying a fragment of this sword with your meager power. You are nothing but a fool… and so were your friend for believing in you."

At that moment I heard another sound as Kiba got up and tried to attack me again. His eyes were still focused on the swords, and he didn't see my leg coming to hit him from the left, breaking his ribs and sending him flying one more time.

Zero: "It seems you can't continue anymore, a disappointment, not even worth to collect. The only thing special about you is creating some deadbeat swords and even that is not that special."

As the others were frozen in place I used a spell and disappeared from the location, not in the mood to talk anymore.

I had taken a gamble in playing with history and thanks to my luck it seems that for now not much had changed.

I was the one to shatter Excalibur. It took quite some time, but I had a good reason for it. I needed for the story to stay the same but the power of Excalibur Ruler was beyond my scope of imagination. Given this simple fact, I didn't know if I could recover it in the future so I decided to shatter it myself and keep this fragment and Excalibur Blessing with me. This would allow me to restore the sword in a short time as well as not have to face quite a lot of enemies in my search for them.

I even came up with a way to make Excalibur completely mine and this process di required shattering it. When I was finished reconstructing it, it will truly become my weapon.

[A.N: My test are coming up so 1 chapter per day for around 1 month. If i have time probably more.]
