“Wow, that’s amazing.”

“Then, Ms. Park Seo-ah, would you like to try it? Try it on my hand.”

This time, Seo-ah put her hand on Song Jin-ho’s over the table.

Hunters glanced at them as they went by, the scene perfect for a misunderstanding. While her healing was far less powerful, she had gotten more efficient.

“Well done. You’re an apt student.”

“Hehe, really? I owe it to your skillful teaching.”

She thought that Song Jin-ho was simply being generous with his praise, but he was truly, genuinely surprised.

He could not believe that she learned so quickly.

It became clearer why Kim Cheol-doo was so enthusiastic about training her.

“Now, I’ll teach you how to effectively use the inventory and store functions. The next time you collect gold, try purchasing these items first.”

Park Seo-ah looked at him with curious eyes. He showed no distaste at all despite having been made to teach an E-class healer.

‘Everyone in the Sun Guild is kind.’

For someone who had lived in a harsh environment, the past days were like a dream. Her life was much improved compared to when she lived as an ordinary person.

Though, of course, she hadn’t joined any raids yet.

“This is a status checker, which gauges the amount of physical strength a hunter has left. That way, you can adjust your skill usage and reduce the wastage of mana.”

Seo-ah’s eyes lit up.

“Since you’ve only recently awakened, you probably don’t have a weapon yet.”

“Do healers have weapons too?”

“There are two main types. A staff to increase healing efficiency, or a mace to participate in battle,” Song Jin-ho explained simply, then added his own opinion, “I would personally recommend a mace.”

“Why?”

“During raids, the healer protects the tanker, who protects the damage dealer, who then protects the healer. This is the basic principle that the team maintains.”

Seo-ah knew that much, at least.

He continued, a degree of chill in his kind voice, “However, that is only when the enemy is easily dealt with. Such a balance is easily broken by the slightest disruption in the team’s synergy. At that time, healers are the most vulnerable. Any monster with the slightest bit of intelligence will always go for the healer first. Thus, some teams may even try to sacrifice them and run away, as if cutting off a tail to escape.”

“I… I see.”

“Don’t you think you should have the strength to defend yourself? As your skill level goes up, so will your healing power, and you can also make up for any lack of recovery with items or potions. On the other hand, there is nothing that can make up for poor fighting skills.”

She strongly agreed with that opinion. She had felt the need for self-defense capabilities during her first raid, and had realized that they would be especially necessary if she continued to work as a hunter.

That was why she volunteered to come to the Sun Guild to train in the first place.

“A good healer gets rid of their enemies before their allies get hurt… That’s what the head of the Angel Guild said.”

“If it’s the head of the Angel Guild, then it’s Ms. Song Jin-ah… Huh?”

Song Jin-ah. Song Jin-ho. Was it a coincidence that their names were so similar?

Song Jin-ah was ranked 4th in Korea. That alone was amazing, but she was also the only S-class healer in the country. Perhaps, due to that, many members of the Angel Guild were healers and auxiliary hunters. There were also rumors that, when they received requests for cooperation from other guilds, they would use their power as leverage—but considering their unique position, it wasn’t surprising.

Seeing Seo-ah’s suspicion, he answered meekly, “That’s right, she is my older sister.”

“Oh, so you two are both healers. It must run in the family.”

“That’s the way it is, I guess.” Song Jin-ho’s smile was somewhat awkward.

Seo-ah pretended not to notice.

Seeing that he joined the Sun Guild and not his sister’s guild, there was probably something that he couldn’t say.

She quickly changed the subject, “By the way, has Mr. Yoo Ji-an… Has he ever abandoned you during a tough raid? Would he ever do that?”
