Chapter 63 – Tent Life 1

I asked Luca to made another lantern for me, and I gave it as a present to a coachman who was having trouble on the road at night.

“If you would like, would you like to try using this light?”

“What is this light?! Is it an ancient relic?”

When we exchanged it with the lantern on the carriage, a path of light was created.

“No, Luca and I made it. It lasts for a month, so I’ll give it to you as a present.”

“Are you serious!? Thank you very much. I’m glad I took this job. This makes it much easier to see where I’m going.”

As long as the ground is clear, even at night, horses can run, and soon we reached a small hill from where we could see Sheep Town well.

I escorted Luca and gazed at the town.

Numerous brightly colored tents were scattered and the night view was very fantastic.

“It’s beautiful, Aix. Thank you for bringing me here.”

“You don’t regret it, do you? Shall we set up the tent right away?”

She nodded, and coachman showed me how to set up the tent.

While hitting the pegs, which are small hammers that connect the tent and the ground, I accidentally hit my finger, but one solo tent was completed.

My fingertips were a little tingly, but I was filled with a sense of accomplishment.

“Thank you for teaching me.”

“No problem. I’ll set up camp a little further away, so please do the rest. I’ll teach you more about camping later.”

I can count on him.

“Yes!”

When the coachman happily took the lantern and walked away, Luca, who had been hiding under a cat hood, breathed a sigh of relief, and complaints leaked out of his trembling lips.

“Aix, isn’t this too small?”

“Is it?”

I wondered if she was angry, but it seemed different. For some reason, she seemed embarrassed and fidgety.

“With this, we’ll be very close. U-um, I’m okay with it, but are you?”

“Does Luca dislike that kind of thing? If you don’t like it, I can go back and borrow a bigger one.”

Maybe I didn’t consider her feelings enough.

“I don’t dislike it, but…um. It was sudden, so…”

The underbrush swayed in the wind.

Because Luca was staring at me with a weird feeling, my heart also swayed. My face flushed, so I resumed working as if to hide it.

“Well, that’s good. Now, I’ll set up Luca’s tent.”

Alright, I’ll do my best. If I can finish it alone, Luca will surely be amazed.

However, when I sat down and unfolded the new tent, I suddenly felt a kick in my back and ended up kissing the ground.

“Ugh… Why does it taste like grass?”

I questioned Luca as the suspect.

“Luca… Did you kick me?”

“I can’t believe we came on a trip only to stay in separate places.”

Without apologizing, she pouted and turned to the side, revealing her inner selfishness.

As I turned around, I noticed that Crazy Bear was moving, so he might be the culprit. But more importantly…

“What don’t you like about it?”

“Everything.”

I was starting to get irritated too. I’m working so hard for this.

“Luca, it seems like you don’t even like big tents. So, what do you want?”

Luca chuckled.

“Huh? Already forgot. I’m invincible as long as you’re with me.”

“Invincible?”

I was surprised by her unexpected reaction. What does she mean?

“Watch. I’ll show you the real me.”

Luca cast a spell.

‘King Ghostcross’

Cloth blew out of the item bag like waves and spread out thinly.

The sky was dominated by cloth.

Light was reflected in a disorderly manner by the cloth, making the night plain shine brighter than day.

“‘King Sewingmaster.’ Show off your cool stuff, Crazy Bear.”

“Got it!”

Crazy Bear wielded his huge scissors.

It seems like they’re making something like the triangular hat they made earlier, but on a different scale.

In the blink of an eye, a huge building is being built on the previously empty plain! Huh?

And then, in front of us…

“A castle has appeared?”

“Aix, quickly!”

“Partner, give it the buff from earlier,” says Luca and Crazy Bear, with faces that show their concentration has reached its limit, seeking help.

“Shield enchantment?”

The castle made of cloth is fixed in place!

In just a few minutes, the castle is completed.

Luca collapses with a satisfied expression, so I hurriedly support her.

Her eyes are filled with confidence.

Following her gaze, there is a castle after all.

It’s about the size of a mansion, but it looks like a castle.

This is bad, what are they doing?

Luca smiles mischievously.

“My prince.”

“Huh?”

Crazy Bear follows along.

“King, stop flirting, let’s get on with it and get inside the castle.”

I obtained the Ghostcross Castle.
