First Date 3

The days passed so quickly, and we were now standing in the kitchen wearing matching aprons.

By the way, Cheryl was spending the day with Dirk today and she was in such a good mood that her tail was waggling from the morning.

“I’ve never cooked before, so I’m a little nervous.”

“But you’re so skilled with your hands, I feel like I’m going to lose to you.”

We spent a peaceful morning together, relaxing, having tea, and taking a walk in the forest.

So far, it was the same as usual, but today I had invited Alvin-sama to join me in cooking.

This was the result of following Erica’s advice that “joint work such as cooking deepens relationships.”

“I have confidence in my ability to handle blades in general. But actually, I’m better with a dagger than a long sword.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes. I’m even confident that I can beat Dirk in a close-range dagger fight.”

Doing something out of the ordinary changed the content of the conversation, and so, there were many things I learned about Alvin-sama for the first time.

It was just fun to watch Alvin-sama, who was too dexterous, try to peel vegetables smoothly without breaking the skin off.

“… I’m amazed at how much time and effort it takes to cook. I have to thank the chef from time to time.”

“Fufu, I think they will be pleased.”

“I’m sure I’ll be thinking about it a lot every time I eat tomorrow.”

Alvin-sama skillfully shook the pot with one hand, which looked kind of cute.

“Nina is amazing. You know a lot of things I don’t know.”

“I feel the same way. We come from different worlds and different backgrounds, so it’s only natural.”

The odds of us meeting and falling in love must be something like a miracle.

There might come a day in the future when we would quarrel with each other due to differences in our values. But with Alvin-sama, I felt that we would definitely get along well.

Afterwards, Alvin-sama happily ate the food we had prepared together, saying over and over again that it was delicious, which warmed my heart.

I was more than happy to be able to talk about the future with him, asking him what to cook next.

“I’ll wash the dishes. Nina, you go rest.”

“If it gets out that I let Alvin-sama wash the dishes, I’m afraid your entourage will be furious.”

“We’re the only ones here, so it’s okay.”

In the end, I took his word for it and sat down on the sofa where I could see the kitchen in the hall.

“Fufu….”

I was probably the only person in the world who could see Alvin-sama, a prince, washing the dishes.

It was really peaceful when we were like this, just like normal lovers. Everything about that man just seemed like a bad dream.

“Nina.”

“Ah, are you do──”

While I was absentmindedly thinking about other things, Alvin-sama seemed to have finished washing the dishes, and I looked up when he called my name.

At that moment, my lips were blocked, and my face became hot in an instant.

“I thought I should get a reward for all my hard work.”

“…. Geez.”

“Thanks to Nina, I think I can do anything.”

Alvin-sama laughed mischievously and sat down next to me. It was already afternoon and the sun was shining, and it was very warm and comfortable.

“What’s next?”

Since the date was initiated by me, Alvin-sama tilted his head slightly and asked.

Actually, the next schedule was the highlight of the day.

“Next, we’re going to have a nap together.”

◇◇◇

“….. Are you really going to sleep now?”

“Yes. Let’s take a nap as much as we can.”

We were currently lying face-to-face on the king-sized bed in the bedroom, which had been prepared for us but had never been used.

Alvin-sama was staring at my face with a slightly bewildered look on his face.

──Yes, today’s purpose was to have Alvin-sama rest his body.

Although I didn’t know if it was a good idea for a date, it felt like the best kind of holiday to eat a full lunch and go to bed right away. It reminded me of how happy I used to feel on holidays, going to bed and waking up at any time I wanted.

But for some reason, Alvin-sama looked puzzled.

“I’ve never taken a nap before.”

“Eh? Never?”

In response to my question, Alvin-sama nodded.

As the next king, he said he had been on a set schedule all day long since he could remember. I got a little teary-eyed when Alvin-sama told me that he had never even thought of sleeping during the daytime.

At the same time, my will to get him to take a nap burned even brighter.

“It feels really good to go to bed at this time. I will put Alvin-sama to bed.”

I sat up, moved closer to him, and with one hand, slowly patted him on his back while he was lying down.

Then, Alvin-sama looked up at me in wonder.
