Xiao wan dragged Xiao Qui to a secret place in the Yang Shi forest were no beasts resided and it was directly at the back of the clan estate. After the Xiao qui was slashed at his back he could not stand up nor lift any part of his body.

" who are you and why did you come to kill me", said while trying to sound calm although he was terrified.

A cold light flashed across Xiao wan's eyes and he spoke, "Who I am and why I came is none of your business, just remember that the name of the person that is going to kill you is Xiao wan".

Immediately, Xiao wan swung his right hand and a thin line suddenly appeared on Xiao qui's neck.

A flash of realisation appeared in Xiao qui's eyes but when he thoroughly thought about the name his face had a look of unbelief on it. "It's impossible..." said Xiao qui and he immediately coughed out a mouthful of blood and he then drowned in eternal darkness never to wake up again.

This was Xiao wan's first step to becoming a strong warrior on the path of cultivation.

Two days later a furious bellow was heard by every person in the Xiao clan. "WHO DID THISSS" Even some passersby heard and they were shocked, some even got angry but since the Xiao clan was well respected in the area. Every person in the clan rushed to the direction of the sound, Xiao Hui was no exception. When everyone had seen the situation themselves, some were astonished, some were indifferent, some even puked blood example his Dad, some were over joyous.

Xiao Hui searched around for his son fearing that he had been awarded the same fate. But when he remembered how strange his son had been behaving ever since he escaped death. If members of the clan were around they would have astonished as this had never happened in the history of the clan.

After about an hour or so the strange phenomenon disappeared leaving no trace behind. And Xiao wan had broken through to mid-level of the seventh level of the profound qi realm. At this moment part of the potential hidden in his body had been unleashed.

'I should go to the Yang Shi forest and hunt down some beasts and use their materials to exchange for cultivation materials', thought Xiao wan. Actually he had been nurturing this thought for a very long time. He then went to his father's mansion and surprisingly he was no where to be found. Xiao wan looked for him everywhere but the whole clan members where missing and then he realized he had missed one place and that place was the forest. He swiftly ran towards the forest and behold he was stopped by the guards of the forest.

"Stranger's are not allowed into the Xiao clan's property", said one of the guards in a provocative tone although he clearly realized who he was talking to.

Some members were returning and when they saw the event that unfolded before them they laughed and whispered to each other, "It seems like the prestigious young master would not allowed into the forest".

Xiao wan smiled coldly and said, "I'm the son of the patriarch of the Xiao clan".

"oh, if that's the case then your entry is guaranteed", said the same guard pretending to just realise who was standing right in front of him.

Xiao wan proceeded into the forest with the same speed he arrived with and soon enough he found his Dad under a peach blossom tree and enjoying the beautiful scenery with his eyes closed and he seem quite elated.

Xiao wan approached his father and sat down beside him. His Dad's eyes suddenly flew open and a glint of happiness flashed in them.

"Do you know the reason of my happiness son", asked Xiao Hui in an inquisitive tone.

"No", replied Xiao wan.

"Xiao Zhang's son is dead", said Xiao Hui.
