Veronica climbed onto the iron horse with Ariadne in her arms. Just as she was about to go, she heard a loud flapping of wings in the air.

“Nika! I clearly told you not to go in alone… Aria?”

Erich descended from the emerald eagle and found Ariadna in Veronica’s arms.

“Aria!”

Shortly, as if screaming, he called the girl’s name and hurriedly rode the spirit water. He then

pointed to the spirit he was riding a moment ago.

“Emerald is faster. Here.”

Veronica got rid of the iron horse without further words. Conrad, the Emerald Spirit Knight, quickly prepared a seat. As they rode on the spirit water and floated up into the sky, the territory spread out beneath them withered away. Leaving behind the greenery that scattered into shining powder, they quickly returned to the blizzard castle.

Ariadne woke up in the fantasy library. A stranger to her was peering into her. She was a girl her age. No, was he a boy? It was a child of about twelve or three years old, with a delicate face. Her mysterious golden eyes stare at her. A white cloth instead of her clothes. Her long silver hair is tied with a yellow ribbon.

Yellow ribbon?

“Pi?”

Her golden eyes widened beautifully at her call.

“Aria.”

In one morning, Pi, who had grown from her five-six-year-old self to Aria’s age, held her tightly and released her.

“I was worried.”

“Ah, yes… By the way, you grew up…?”

“I grew up trying to engage with your channel.”

Pi answered quietly. It was a much calmer tone than before. Ariadne looked blankly at the child because it was unfamiliar.

“I thought you wouldn’t grow forever… Were you able to grow like that?”

“I do not know. Still, I’m glad I was able to serve as your guide.”

After answering with a smile, Pi stood up and lightly turned around. Her long silver hair gleamed with a yellow ribbon. The eyes of her looking back at her also sparkled like jewels.

“Isn’t it strange how Pi grew?”

“No, no, nothing like that. Pi is very pretty…”

Ariadne tilted her head while casually trying to compliment her.

“But how does Pi know her gender?”

She’s not human, and she’s always been a child, so she’d never thought about Pi’s gender until now. She did, but seeing that she’s grown made her a little bit nervous. They still seem to be at an age where the distinction between men and women was not clear, but when they grow older, the gender would be clearly revealed.

Pi sat back down beside her. The child asked seriously.

“Which genre does Arya prefer?”

“Um, girl?”

“Then something like that.”

“What?”

“If you believe I’m a girl, Pi is a woman.”

Pie kissed her lightly on the cheek and smiled brightly. Kisses on the forehead or cheek were common. Usually it’s so cute that Ariadne kissed first, and Pi did after with a smile. But since she was like her peers, it made her feel a little strange.

Ariadne pulled back a little behind her and raised her eyebrows.

“Then if I believe that you’re a man, will you become a man?”

“Perhaps.”

“How can that be? Nonsense.”

“Here it is. And I don’t even know why. Just that I have a gut feeling that will be the case.”

Pi added, tilting her head.

“I’m guessing it’s because Aria is the only one who goes in and out of here.”

“Does that have anything to do with it?”

“I am not sure. It just seems so.”

She was puzzled and Ariadne shook her head.

“It’s okay. Are you saying that gender isn’t fixed anyway? Then decide what you want. I don’t care.”

“All right.”

Pi, who had been answering with a smile, suddenly looked at her in the void.

“Aria, it would be good to go out soon. The other humans are worried because you didn’t wake up.”

“Come to think of it, was I found safely?”

“Yes. While being healed, Aria tried to wake up from her pain, so she was brought here for a while.”

“Oh, so… Thanks, Pie.”

“I am happy to help.”

Pi put her hand over her eyes. Ariadne, noticing that the child was about to let him go, hastily grabbed the hand.

“Wait for a sec.”

“Gui…”

“I mean that you acted as a guide.”

“Even pie doesn’t know the principle.”

“I’m going to slowly look into that later, and the important thing is, Pi, you can act as my guide in the future?”

“I can.”

Pi pointed to a pile of books in the corner of her study.

“This is a record related to the guide. General features, learning done. Application technology and extensions, learning. Pi will continue to be Aria’s guide.”

“Then you don’t have to undergo the procedure, and it’s me, but are you okay? Aren’t you tired?”

“It’s fun.”

Pi, who responded promptly, smiled brightly.

“It’s fun to have something to do.”

Ariadne quickly understood. Pi couldn’t get out of the fantasy library, and she didn’t even sleep. She had an infinite amount of things to read, but how boring would she be if she could do nothing but read books for the rest of her life. Because of this, Pi was very fond of asking her to find something for her or bringing her food or small gifts. She acted as a guide, and her company would be fun for Pi.

‘I need to bring more things to play with. With something other than treats or toys. Something like a handicraft tool or musical instrument would be good.’

She smiled and held out her hand.

“Then, I’ll take good care of you in the future.”

“Pi will try too.”

Pi held her hand. Her other hand came over and lightly covered her eyes.

“It’s time to wake up, Arya.”

It was Erich that Ariadne faced as soon as she opened her eyes in reality. Erich was sitting by her bed and looking out the window with a ferocious expression she had never seen before.

There was no strength in her body. Ariadne pursed her lips.

“Brother.”

Erich jumped out like he was electrocuted. He jumped up and looked back at her. His eyes met hers and he gave a twisted smile.

“You barely steamed it up, and became a skeleton again.”

“The first thing you called your awakened cousin was ‘skeleton’, you’re still a badass.”

“Then did you think I would even burst into tears?”

His words were slurred, but the hand caressing her cheek was trembling slightly. Erich said in a light tone.

“Move your fingers.”

“My arms are heavy.”

“Who wants to move his arm? I mean the finger, the finger.”

Ariadne looked down at her hands. Bandages were wrapped around each finger.

‘Is it because of the cold?’

As she wiggled her ten fingers, Erich examined them carefully and smiled bitterly at her.

“Someone makes me check if her fingers are moving properly, in case it’s not a skeleton.”

“Can I stop now?”

“Are you not sick?”

“I’m fine.”

“No. I am not stupid What’s the point of asking you if you’re not sick?”

Erich grumbled and gently stroked her slender fingers. He said nervously.

“In the future, when I ask if you are sick, never say you are fine.”

“Then what do I say? Pretend you don’t know. You’re right you don’t know.”

“You don’t feel that pain at all, do you? It hurts when it hurts.”

“If you are in a situation where you say you are sick, no one will ask if you are sick. It doesn’t look serious.”

“Move your toes, too.”

Erich chinned her feet. Ariadne wiggled her toes under the covers. Seeing that she moves well, her frostbite seems to have been completely healed.

“You move well.”

“Okay.”

Erich let out a long sigh and leaned against the back of her chair. He looked pretty tired.

“Did you sleep well?”

“The skeleton sleeps my share, so what are you doing?”

“How long have I slept?”

“Four days.”

“…I slept a lot.”

“If you woke up just one day later, I wouldn’t give you any allowance from now on.”

“Who is not a badass? It’s not my fault.”

At Ariadne’s grumbling words, Erich suddenly made an expression as if he had been cut by a knife.

“…sorry.”

“Why are you apologizing?”

“Because I didn’t know that she was targeting you.”

“I didn’t know either.”

“You don’t know, but I should have noticed. You’re a little girl. Every day you think you’re a grown-up.”

He tousled her hair roughly. Ariadne gave a small smile instead of being annoyed.

“But don’t you ask what happened?”

“You can take a break and talk. We also caught the culprit.”

She was startled.

“Did you catch Leda Picaro?”
