Kael Cor: A Vampire's Awakening

Chapter 423 - War Takes

The Herald of the collective, an avatar of the Devourer… I'm going to fuċkɨnġ kill him, it, or her. The fact that it was wearing the face of a six year old would not be enough To stay my hand and the rage that was now rushing through my body. I wanted vengeance, but I couldn't move, Asha made sure that unless I was done with what I was doing there would absolutely be no way for me to save her. Luckily for her, I was done, all that remained was an infusion of Divine energy into the pillars, and a second later it was completed. The pillars blazed gold, green, and blue, shimmering as a massive curtain of light suddenly came alive around the entire city, protecting even the fields outside of the city and the world tree itself.

A wave of weakness came over me, the backlash from nature hit me hard enough that my Divine form was deactivated and I fell from the sky, smashing into the ground while my enemies and injured watched on with pensive looks on their faces. I didn't care though, sure I cut a sorry figure but I'm going to fight, if not for anything but for Asha, she needed me right now. I moved to the left, dodging a dark beam from the Herald as a demon rushed me, from behind. I spun reversing the grip on my sword and sliced upwards, opening the demon from belly to throat, before kicking at it, sending it flying backwards into the other group of demons converging on my position. My Divine energy was not available to me at the moment, that much was understandable, I have used so much power in Weaving the seal that would Keep Ethernalia Leonis safe, god or not I had limits to what I could do.

But I wasn't born a god, I had power before I earned godhood, I could still fight, I can still win. I turned and pulled out my handgun, holding my breath as a divine wind soul settled into it, charging the weapon for a few seconds before I pulled the trigger, releasing a bullet infused with a divine wind soul. Lightning infused with a powerful typhoon ran roughshod into the army of demons heading in my direction, leaving carnage behind as I used the body of the handgun to smash a black bean heading my direction aside. Then I infused my aura into both my gun and sword and smashed them together, releasing a shockwave of debilitating energy that threw thousands of demons backwards, sending many of them into the shield that now covered Ethernalia Leonis, burning them to ash and nothingness the very instant they came in contact with it.

The Herald was also pushed back, thrown head over heels in the air as he swung upside down, summersaulting in the air multiple times as I turned in the same second and pulled the trigger. The bullet smashed into the exposed shiny bald head of the god that had my wife impaled, he snarled in anger as golden blood trickled down his forehead. But I didn't care, my sim had been achieve as he had pulled back, removing his sword from Asha's center, forcing out a gasp of pain from my wife. It drove me mad with anger as I moved forwards, to get to her, but suddenly inky whips made of darkness stabbed through my calf and back, dragging me to the ground as Dracula, someone who I had just killed moments ago appeared behind my wife and stabbed a black dagger with red veins in her back, his manic screams mixing with hers as she cried out in pain and him in madness.

"Dieeeeeee hahahahahaha dieeeeeeee!"

I felt my heart break at her screams, the darkness keeping me bound wound even tighter as I saw something that drove me to the point of no return; Dracula was trying to consume her soul, divinity and all. He wanted to end my wife for good, there was no way, no way I would let that happen. I had to keep her safe, I had to send her away from here, she has to live.

[Pull]

The Herald that was holding me bound was drawn to my location as I got to my feet, grabbed him by the neck and smashed his face into the ground. Following it up with a massive stomp to the front of his face, ignoring the look of fear on the face of the child the Devourer and his fuċkɨnġ collective had chosen to be his Herald. I swung my hand, utilizing every last bit of soul energy I had left to create a teleportation seal and attached it to the only thing available… the singularity in the Vicinity; the black hole. It's color changed from an infinite blackness to purple, grey and green. And just before Dracula could take any piece of her I used [Push] and threw her, body and soul into the singularity.

My heart stopped, her body was ripped to pieces the moment it touched the Singularity, but her soul went through. And our connection went cold as realization of what I had just done in panic dawned on me. I have no idea where that black hole led, ȧssuming it even led to anywhere. I shook as I rushed forwards to jump in and at least try to retrieve her soul, that way she could just reincarnate and I'd find her in her next life. But the remains of her body suddenly shot up into the sky, rapidly growing and creating a shockwave that threw me backwards as a new moon was soon seen revolving around Spero, a broken moon.. And that was when I heard screams from a familiar voice, forcing me to turn around in time to see Michael pull down his blindfold in grief and horror, but there was nothing either I nor the demons or the enemies around could do to stop what came, we were all swallowed up by the power of his eyes, everything hurt and everything was blue.
