After lunch, we went back to our respective activities.

I'm going to dry the trees and Grandpa and Cruz are going to take the queens on a hunting trip.

Grandmother is going to do some sewing.

I tried to dry the tree in the same way I did before.

After about half an hour, the wood was just as dry as before.

Next, I tried two trees at the same time.

I increased the heat a little because the space was getting bigger, and the drying was finished in about 40 minutes.

Next, I wanted to try three trees at the same time, but it would have been too hard to make the scale bigger, so I continued drying two trees.

It took us a little over two hours, but we were able to finish drying the trees we had prepared.

By that time, the old men had returned and were dismantling their catch.

As I watched the dismantling, I noticed that they had come to the river but hadn't drawn water, so I called out to the old man and then went to make a channel into the river to escort the queens.

We dug a trench a short distance from the river to the area where the hut was to be built. We don't know what the slope is, but we keep digging anyway.

When we got a little closer to the hut, we dug a larger hole. It is a place to store water. I hardened the soil as well as the waterway.

Should I make a bank to prevent flooding later?

After digging the hole, I started digging another trench downstream of the river.

When I reached the river, I slowly connected the river to the ditch and the channel.

Some water was coming down, but not so much that it would back up.

I walked back down the channel, making a bank on the other side of the river.

We crossed the retention pond and came to the upper reaches of the channel, and we dug out the dirt with magic to connect the channel to the river.

The water flowed slowly at first, but after a bit, it flowed with great force.

The slope seemed to be OK.

We made a bank along the river as we walked up the river, and once we had made it the distance for now, we went back to the hut.

We wanted to make it a little longer, but we didn't have enough time to do so, so we gave up.

When I got to the planned hut, Cruz and his friends had already finished dismantling it and had left it for me to put away. The two men were practicing with the wooden sword I had made.

'Grandfather, I drew the water closer.

Oh, good job. I'll check later to make sure it's okay.

Thank you.

Sure. Speaking of which, isn't it time to go home?

'Speaking of which, yes. Cruz-kun, I'm going to put the tree away. Go get Ilya and the others!

I'll take care of it!

After saying this, Cruz ran to the grandmothers. It's a good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for.

Grandpa, thank you again for your help today.

Don't worry about it. We'll enjoy ourselves.

Thank you, old man. Do you want to do the woodwork?

No, now that you've worked your drying spell, let's get you some more wood to practice on.

Oh, yes. I'll take care of that for you.

As I was talking to the grandfather, Cruz came in with the others.

Here's the guy!

Thank you, Agent Cruz.

Onii-Chan, are you going to change your mind now?

'Yeah, it gets dark when it's late. Let's come back later.

Aye!

And so we all loaded the meat into the cart and tied the queens together to form a wolf wagon.

Well, we'll be back!

Bye, Sakuya-chan.

Come again.

Sakuya waved us back to the orphanage.
