Chapter 196

I ran at my full speed, but I couldn't outrun a flying creature, even if my Natural Path skill, was three times more advanced. I lacked speed and the terrain was to my disadvantage. Soon, the Avians caught up to me and surrounded me. 'Shit! This can only end badly for me' I though. Then I heard the voice of the King of Avains. She said "Where do you think you are going? You will take the punishment for your actions". I shouted back "Bullshit! It was YOU, who told me to kill them. I was only doing you a favour!".

She asked "Would you kill yourself, if I told you to do it?". I got even more angry "Stop spouting shit at my face. Don't try to act all high and mighty now! It was your idea, and you are the guilty one! Why haven't you checked the records, before telling me to exterminate them!". She then shouted back "Hmph, You are the guilty one, it's you who killed them. When they arrive, we will offer you to them, as an apology. One life in exchange for thousands, don't you think this is a fair trade?".

'That bitch….' I thought as the rage started swelling up inside of me. I said "Over my dead body, bitch". She shouted back, pissed "This can be arranged, you filthy human! Catch him!". I ran straight at the group of Avians blocking my way. The Avains were not that stupid, and flew into the skies. 'You think, that you are clever?' I though, and took out my bow.

I started shooting. The Avians, didn't really expect that, and started dying left and right. They flew higher into the air and still continued fly around me, while trying to attack Thanks to my instincts, whenever an Avian tried to get close and attack, I would always take it down with my bow. I stood motionless and shot at anything that got close. I was using the stone arrows, that I made in the past. But with my current strength, or rather the strength of the bow, I was still able to take down Avians, even with such crude arrows.

When They backed away far enough, for my arrows not to reach them, I started running again. For some reason, they didn't flock me, maybe they were scared of my speed on the ground, Although if all of them suddenly tried to attack at once, I myself wasn't sure, if I would be able to escape. The Avians didn't let go so easily, and the Elites arrived. The Elite Avians started by using their skills, from above. They shot feathers at me, at incredible speed and accuracy. I was grazed by some of them, but due to my new and improved clothes, I came out unscaved.

'Those bastards! After so much I did for them!' I though. I was extremely pissed and I could feel my vision turning a bit red. 'No! I can't awaken that aura. The bloodlust and lack of control will kill me! I need to calm down' I thought, and eased my mind. The Bloodlust Aura, was not something, I needed at the moment. I tried calming my mind and eased up on my thoughts a bit.

After a while, my vision changed back to that of a normal, full of colour vision. I was still being chased, but because I managed to reign in that bloody aura, and stop its awakening, I was better able to evade and control the situation. The Avians relentlessly attacked. Many of the attacks landed on me. I was mostly fine due to the clothes but my clothes became damaged. 'The Formations on these clothes are good, but it's not indestructible. I need to get away from here' I thought, then I hear a loud "BOOOOM!".

My first thought, was that the Avians used Yellow Dust, in order to attack. But I was wrong, when I turned around, I saw something else entirely. The sound came from the pond. A huge column of water raised into the skies, and Yagaroths poured out from it. 'This is even worse now' I thought, as all hell broke loose.

Yagaroths started to run wild and kill everything in their path. The Avians, were not affected much, as they were flying in the air. The problem was me. I couldn't fly. I then hear the King of Avians shouting "Yagaroths! The perpetrator who killed your kin, is there! He is the one responsible for all this!". My rage swelled up again 'THAT FUCKING BITCH!', but then I head a deep voice from behind "Stay away from this fly. If you try something, we will exterminate you as well".

The deep voice made me sober up. I shouted back angrily "Don't believe her! She is lying! She was the one who wanted to exterminate you!". The deep voice behind me sounded again "Human... I already know it was you. Give up, and you might live". 'Like hell I'm just going to give up!' I thought, and I ran at my full speed forwards.

The voice sounded "It's futile". I heard the creatures behind me chasing. When I looked back, I saw a giant creature that looked like Yagaroth, but different at the same time. It's eyes were bigger, its colour was different too, it was blue, with white stripes around its body and tentacles. 'This must be their High One. This is just abysmal now!' I thought while running.

But for some reason, the large Yagarort, didn't move. It's stayed in that pond, and didn't chase me. Then, I noticed why it didn't move, and the fact shocked me to the core. 'This is not its full body! Just how big is that thing!' I thought. It was a curse but a blessing as well. If that large Yagaroth couldn't chase me, I had much bigger chance of escaping.

When I left the Valley, I ran in the direction of the Sludge Factory. 'I need to get to the Dead Forest. I need to disappear, or leave the North altogether. These creatures will not be able to cross the borderline' I thought. The borderline of the North, was not a straight line. The place I was currently in, the Vulture Cliffs, was quite a distance away from the bordering line. It would be faster for me, to backtrack my steps, and go back to the Dead Forest, then cross the border from there . It would be less dangerous as well. I was already familiar with the route back, while if I went straight for the borderline, the areas I would have to cross, were unknown to me.

Of course, this was all under one condition. 'I can't get caught' I thought. I then heard "Yagaroth, we will help you catch him! This will prove to you, that we are not your enemies". After a short time of silence, the large Yagaroth answered "That, I can agree to". 'Great! Now I have to deal with both bastards. I swear, if I manage to get out of this mess alive, the King of Avians and her fucking flock, is dead!' I thought.

The Avians didn't try to get too close to me, I still had a bow in my hands. Instead, they were trying to slow me down, just enough, for the main army of Yagaroths to arrive. 'I still have a long way to go, how do I lose them….' I tried to think of anything, that would help me out. 'If it has come to this, then the only answer is Yellow Dust. I need to retrieve my bags, that are full of it. Then I will blow up the whole army, even at the cost of my own life!' I thought. I took out my map, and checked the position of the hidden bags, then changed the direction slightly.
