LFTMPH Chapter 81-The Scenery Is Nice Part 1

Translated by Snowfall77

The storm of lightning and thunder passed, and the red stream was dyed with gold, like a long, winding flame.

Wisps of the red stream were still wrapped around the gravestone, the girl’s white, blood-stained clothes were still tossed about by the wind.  But the bloody scar on her wrist gradually disappeared.  Lastly, she leaned slightly down and kissed the tombstone.

Tenderly.

And sorrowfully.

The girl in front of Xia Ge……was so close.  Almost within Xia Ge’s grasp.

Xia Ge wanted to stretch out a hand, make the girl turn her head.  Yet when Xia Ge tried to extend her hand, she found that, at some unknown point, her hands had become carefully wrapped in thin red silk.

And not only her hands.  Xia Ge’s entire body was covered with thin red silk that’d spread out from the wisps of red overlaying the gravestone.

The kneeling girl got to her feet; red streams endless enshrouding her fingertips too.

Like an unceasing, dirty, and disordered fate.

Looking down at her hand with wide eyes, Xia Ge then looked back at the girl, calling out: “Hello——it’s tangling!”

“Hello, hey, what you doing?!  Hurry up and name it!”

Xia Ge’s fingers finally managed to brush against the girl’s back. However, the second Xia Ge did so, the scene faded away, and Xia Ge snapped back to the present where the system was still trying to urge her into action.

Ignoring the system, Xia Ge thought about what she’d just witnessed.  Contemplating the little red ribbon, Xia Ge asked it softly: “Was that your past?”

Of course, it was impossible for the red ribbon to answer Xia Ge.

But Xia Ge knew that she was right.

White clothes stained with blood, red silk spreading across the sky, and a gravestone wrapped in red streams.

After who knew how many years, a girl in blood-stained white underwent nine lightning strikes.  Unwilling to ascend, she stayed before a barren gravestone, her own blood becoming red strings that could not be broken.

The girl’s low voice still echoed in Xia Ge’s ears.

Because the red ribbon had wanted Xia Ge to see and hear those things.

It’d shown Xia Ge those things so that Xia Ge would know its name.

“Acacia,” Xia Ge whispered, “In this case, I will call you {acacia}.”

——This thing is the most lovesick.

The red ribbon began glowing with a golden light, lifting Xia Ge’s paper body into the air.

Xia Ge: “Return to Danfeng!”

Unfortunately, the red ribbon ascending into the sky was too conspicuous.  Sensing something unusual, Chu Yi turned her head to look: “Who?!”

Alarmed, Xia Ge exclaimed: “Shit!”

The paper body wrapped within the red ribbon couldn’t see clearly, but the sudden departure of a dirty mass of red ribbon had become a target.  Her gaze ice-cold, Chu Yi waved a sleeve.  Countless silver butterflies flew out, chasing the red ribbon in overwhelming numbers!

“That is a Yimei!  Capture it!”

“When did a Yimei get here?  Could it have been……”

“Quickly!  Go after it!”

Silver butterflies swarming, {acacia}, not letting go of Xia Ge, efficiently tied itself in elegant bows, turning into what looked like a crimson butterfly.

Xia Ge: “……”  Why make yourself into a butterfly?  You’re not a butterfly, no matter how you tie yourself!

While silver butterflies pursued a red butterfly, Chu Yao’s brow furrowed at all the noise: “What’s going on?”

Chu Yi smiled superciliously: “I spotted a little mouse and thought I’d help my big sister catch it.”

Chu Yao scoffed back: “Who knew you could harbor such good intentions?”

Chu Yi’s smile didn’t falter: “Then my sister has misunderstood me.”

The Jianfeng guard decided to try and follow the Yimei, and Ye Ze intended to go with them.  Only Chu Yi surprisingly stopped him: “Hey you, wait a moment.”

A little surprised, Ye Ze stared blankly at Chu Yi.  Chu Yi lightly smiled back at him: “The Yimei is going towards Danfeng.”

Ye Ze: “……oh.”  He already knew that.

Chu Yi: “My butterflies are also going that way.”

Ye Ze: “Mmm.  I’ll go first then.”

Chu Yi: “Let’s go together.”

Ye Ze: “……”

Chu Yi: “My butterflies know where that little Yimei is.”

Ye Ze: “……”

Chu Yao, who’d been listening in, frowned: “What you doing with those moths?”

""

Chu Yi: “……”

What was Chu Yi going to do?  Xia Ge didn’t know, but one thing she was sure of.  Chu Yi’s silver moths were fucking terrifying!

Oh, fine.  Not moths, butterflies.

Doggedly pursuing their prey, countless silver butterflies filled the starry sky.  Freed from their inanimate state, the silver butterflies quickly gathered in the surrounding lingqi, their wings turning horribly sharp.  {acacia} fled through the trees and the silver butterflies followed.  Trying to use branches to hide and dodge, {acacia} and Xia Ge soon found that the silver butterflies were too straightforward and cruel.  Like a nightmarish horde of locusts, the silver butterflies devoured anything in their path, opening for themselves a barren, spacious route.

Feeling the danger they were in, {acacia} flew even faster, while Xia Ge voiced her stupefaction: “How could a pretty girl use such terrible charms?!  Fucking butterflies?  Aren’t they locusts?!”

A few silver butterflies got on {acacia}’s tail, their sharp wings trying to cut.  In turn, {acacia} flashed gold as the butterflies and {acacia} begin trading blow for blow, battling in earnest!

The fight made {acacia}’s flight go crooked, and the silver butterflies precipitously encircled like wolves smelling blood!

Xia Ge: “Ah, ah, ah, how do we get rid of them?  Ah, this is too awful!  Little puppet, I don’t care how bad it is, just come up with a plan!”

System: [How The Fuck I Am Supposed To Know What To Do?  You Got Yourself Into This Trouble, Get Out Of It Yourself!]

Xia Ge: “You’re calling this trouble?!  It’s called doing good deeds in secret!  It’s called anonymous acts of charity!  So what if the situation unexpectedly went a little sideways?!”

System: [Don’t Be Surprised If You Lose Your Anonymity!]

A devasting squall of silver butterflies hemming them in, {acacia} fiercely protected Xia Ge’s paper body, glinting gold.  Everytime a butterfly’s wing hit {acacia}, the wing was dyed with {acacia}’s bright, indestructible, golden light.
